If the timing of your paperwork is you main concern do not worry about that. You cannot sign your single affadavit until 3 months before your wedding date anyway...I think we got all our paper done only 2 months before the wedding. If it`s the budget thing you are worried about then I think you might be better off doing your legal here...but don`t forget there are also costs for doing that here as well. I personally did not want to get married before we went for our DW because I thought it might take away some of that "I'm getting married" moment...but there are lots of people who do it & it doesn't bother them at all! I think you should do you research thoroughly before making a decision...find out the total costs for both options & then discuss both with your FI. Good luck...once this decision is made, and your location finalized, the rest is a breeze!!

Friday, July 2 8:26am - Been at work for almost an hour & have been surfing the net since I got in...BDW, FB, etc! Just counting the hours until the weekend starts!!

I was in the same boat...The relationship I have with my father is not the best...it's not bad, it's just one of those special occasion phone call type of relationships! I woudl have been quite content with just my mom walking me down the aisle, but because there were no ifs, ands or buts about him coming to the wedding I decided to include him out of obligation. I didn't want to hurt his feelings by just having my mom at my side (they are split fyi!) But if you want to just walk alone I say do it! Or if you think it will cause that much stress...on both of you...then maybe have him walk you half way, then continue the rest of the way by yourself. Whatever you decide, make sure it is what you want. People will just have to deal with your decision...it's YOUR day afterall!

OK...I really have to get my @ss is gear! I am getting this weekend out of the way...eating all the crap that is in my house. Come Monday I am starting the shred again & getting my diet back on track....someone please hold me accountable!! I have ZERO will power!!

Cindx - I know exactly what you mean!! There was more cleavage at my wedding then I would care to see!!! My mom, MIL, & step-mother...not to mention some of my guests!! But whatever...everyone will be looking at you anyway! And it will give you something to laugh at when you look at your pics!!!
