  1. OMG :simle120: That is hilarious!! I still don't think FI would do it!! Unless he was very "tipsy"..and I'm trying to avoid that!!
  2. I'm only have my MOH so I let her pick out whatever dress she wanted in either orange or a bluish-turquoise color. She is so great that she bought one in each color - but like she said she can/will wear both again!! She bought them at Le Chateau for about $100 each. I'm going with the blue...what do you think??
  3. Love the idea of breaking into a fast song...but as mentioned previously FI can't dance either!! You're brave girl!! I wouldn't let FI sing to me in public. I'm LMAO just thinking about it!! But it is a very sweet gesture!!
  4. WOW...I wish I had a FI who could sing and play an instrument!! (or even dance for that matter!!! lol) Maybe you could have him sing/play this song as a "special" song and dance to another one...its your wedding, you can do what you want!!
  5. I am also just having a MOH & FI is having a BM...that's it. It makes it really easy when trying to find a dress...I just told her to pick out one in orange or turquoise!! And she is so great she picked out one in each color & let me choose!!!
  6. I've never seen this before. IMO...you should go with the more casual approach. But if you didn't, you could always use you e-photo dress for you TTD.
  7. We haven't really done an official budget (which is probably not a great idea!!) But we are not spending more then around 10k!! Quote: Originally Posted by trophywife whats an OOT bag?? 8. LOVE them!! My mom is coming to visit in less than 2 weeks so her & I are going shoe shopping when she gets here!
  9. FI and I don't usually do Halloween...with his schedule he's usually working. A friend of mine LOVES Halloween and always goes all out...hosting a party, dressing up, etc! Here's a pic of her and her husband last year... Not the best pic...but you get the idea!! (hope she doesnt mind me posting this!!!)
  10. YAY!!! How fun!! I'm super jealous!! Looks like you had a blast....& how could you not with NKOTB sweat flying at you!!!
  11. Here is the website... { Renova }. The prices aren't listed, but I'm sure you can email them and ask! Let me know what you find out...I'm a RIU bride-to-be too!!
  12. I don't think it will be the same song...the first time I hear it that day I will want it to be in his arms!! Hmmmm...I don't know what song it will be...I'll have to do some research...I really haven't thought about music at all yet!! I'm trying to get all my "stuff!" ordered so that I won't have to pay for rush items at the last minute!! I'll have to focus on music soon I guess though!! Less than 4 mths to go!! YAY!!!
  13. I wish I had found this website before sending my invites...I would have used the boarding pass ones for sure!!
  14. I'd love to do this to shed a few pounds before the wedding, but I have Crohn's disease & I'm afraid that anything to do with my bowels should not be tried!! lol Nrsgrl, I am so happy that you are having great results!! I'm sure as a nurse you know the risks of detoxifying too much - and with your recent diagnosis I hope you are getting the ok from your doc to proceed with more cleansing. I just want you to be healthy!!! I know how addicting it can be that you are losing weight, but you can't make your body pay the price! Anyway, that's my 2 cents!!! Take care & good luck!

We were originally going to get FI's BIL to play guitar and sing our first dance song (Steady as we go...by Dave Matthews Band) but we decided to go with the original. Maybe we'll get him to play for when I walk down the aisle...thanks for the idea!!!
  16. I think it would be very cute...assuming the 12 yr old doesn't look 18!! If the kids look like kids then definitely!!
  17. I want to do it!!! I'm going to look into it now!! I'll let you know how it goes!! YAY!!! What better way to get rid of those "few" pounds before the wedding than a strip-tease!!!

We only had 30 days to add me to DH's insurance, and that would not have been possible if we did the legal documentation in the DR. Hey Tami...I'm kind of leaning towards this...I don't want to have to wait 3-6 mths for a marriage certificate! Do you know if you can do the opposite?? Go to your DW (but not really wedding!) and then come back & sign papers?? I guess it would be more like a "love ceremony" instead of wedding or renewal of vows! Thanks!!

Depends on the resort...and what you want! I would check with the WC at your destination!
  20. WOW...its incredible!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!
  21. I'm glad everything is working out for you!! It can be so frustrating & nerve racking when things change!!! We had to change our travel dates too!! But it was only by one day (Sun instead of Sat). I still kept the original wedding date, but I was considering changing it since FI's BM is not getting in until the day before!! I'm just concerned with the weather in January in Alberta!! And also I don't want them to get to excited when they see each for the first time in ages (iow...I don't want them to get too drunk the night before the wedding & have a massive hangover!!) Good Luck & I hope you get your date back!!!
  22. Thanks everyone for the great feedback!!! I just love having all you girls to count on!!!

If you want more info PM me - I don't want to take over this thread!!
