I agree Andrea...I know lots of people that got married while on vacation! Maybe not at a DW...but a vacation is a vacation, is it not?? I still maintain that the day before & of the wedding is not really appropriate...but it is really NOT the end of the world either way!

Christie...I just meant have a few friends take pictures!! Or do you have a friend with a nice camera...have them as your "non-paid" backup! Good luck sweetie...if I was there I'd totes be your "plan B"...not that I'm a great photographer or anything!!

After a year and a half it is still hanging in the closet...not dry cleaned! I can't justify paying $150+ to have it dry cleaned professionally so I think I will just put it in the dryer with some dryell (that "at home" dry cleaning stuff) and see how it goes! I think I'm going to go the cocktail dress & christening gown route. Especially since my mom bought my dress it would be special to have her grandchild christened in it as well...and I am her only child & therefore, it will be her only grandchild!

I understand why the guy wants to propose at the beginning of the trip...then they have all week to celebrate their engagement. But since you guys are getting married so early in the trip, I think it would be respectful of him to wait until after the wedding. Getting engaged the night before your wedding, you know she will still be glowing & showing it off (not in a bad way...just excited!) the next day...your wedding day...and that is not cool. I think you should just ask him to wait until after your wedding. I don't think there is anything wrong with someone getting engaged during your weddingmoon - I just think that it should be done at the right time. (ie, not the day before or day of the wedding!!)

Guilty!! I just did this recently when we had a meetup at my house! I put my dress on & had a little dance around the living room...and got some pictures taken!! Loved it!!
