I did not put our parents names either - but we are paying for the majority of the wedding ourselves. I think in your case, because your dad is paying for it then you should include "together with their parents". What I don't like (sorry if any of you have it!) is when it reads "mr. & mrs. x invite you to the wedding of their daughter jane x to joe y son of mr & mrs y"...even if the x's are paying for the wedding!! (sorry...just a pet peeve of mine!) Our friends invites read like that...wouldn't it make the grooms family feel shitty??

Well...my FI is my blast from the past so I'm a little biased on this topic!! I was not engaged or even in love with my bf at the time so it was no contest!! My FI and I dated off and on for 2 years in university, lost touch for 6 years & got back in touch through a mutual friend. We've been together ever since!!! (just meant to be!!)

I don't think it's tacky!! I love the shower ones!!! But I prefer the themed ones as opposed to the more formal type anyway!

My e-ring is very oddly shaped so I will definitely need a custom ring made. But we are about to close our first house, then we have Christmas, then we have the wedding (all in two months!) so we don't really have the $$ for the kind of ring that I want!! I think what I'm going to do is get a nice simple band for now, & put my ering on the other hand until we can afford to get the custom band I want!!
