VERY upset with Bittersweet Wedding designs right now!
barrow replied to Glamourina's topic in Bride Referrals
I need to chime in on this. I am already married a whole month. My wedding was in August and I ordered my stuff from Bitter sweet since May. ofcourse the chic was quick to reply and get my cash, but now that she did not follow through on any of the items i ordered, I asked for my deposit back. She has been giving me the run around. Her e-mail sends an auto-reply that she is out of office. I am done. I am reporting her to the BBB of canada. I am just trying to figure out her zip code. I should have know something was no good when a website does not have an address to the company or a phone number. I am so angry. She was the worst vendor I delt with. -

Canadian Real Touch Flowers...HELP!!!
barrow replied to soccergurl3's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Can someone help me?! I also went with Bittersweet, and spoke with Crystal upto the point I placed my order, made my 50% deposit and now she is missing in action. All of this over a month now. I have been sending her numerous e-mails and no reply. Also hunted down her number because on the site it has no area code.Been calling, left messages no answer. I am about to panic, leaving in 4 weeks. Any advice? -
lol, all the guys are nuts (including mine). But, its their way of adding their boyish side to the wedding. Let them have fun. I wont say its a great idea, but it is different and unique, who doesn't want to be apart of that.

Oh, yeah we have decided due to the amount of guest now heatting a high of 80, OMG, we will just give everyone a nice thank you for supporting us card in the room, and a list of weekend activities they can do, which I get free from the jamaican consulate. They always want to promote, so... Also, I think I will have to fire a few bridesmaids and Maid of Honor, they have not bought there dresses, no shoes, nor their flights, nor have they finalize their room. I am so over this whole thing, I am not going to let them get me in a bad mood. Is everyone bringing their wedding coordinator down with them to over see it all? Get ready ladies, time is here. Good luck all, incase I get too busy and don't get back before we leave off to the big day. I wish you guys the best of luck, and I hope it all goes smoothly and beautifully.

Hi, Guys I am back. I must say things are going much better. The new dress maker is wonderful. She has been doing great on my dress. Though I had to buy all new materials and everything, but it was worth it. Well, we are on our way ladies. Let me ask, will you change your last names or will you add? Big debate in this house hold. We are now looking for our wedding bands, trying to get a big break on price before heading back to the guy he bought my engagement ring from. I also need to finish my DIY project, the menu for each table. I designed it but need to get it printed and cut the way I like.

Hi, Guys I must give you all the update of my dress 4 MONTHS into this. I am screaming in my head. I have been breaking out and loosing hair, literally, because of all this stress. I think someone needs to call BRIDZILLA for me. lol (at least I can still laugh, right) Well, my dressmaker has not made any progress with my dress, it is in pieces and I have nothing to try on and she has had my dress since December. I decided to find a new dress maker, which I did, and take my materials or my money back from her. I went last night and my FI had to step in because she was not letting go. She wanted to finish my dress and use it as an example for another bride she plans to make a dress for in December. Well, this was a lesson to me. When people say never tell someone you are doing business with for your event the exact date, do just that. She felt because my wedding was in August she had ample time and could do other projects in the mean time. Bottom line, I am happy that my man got the materials from her for me, after threatening to take her to court; she gave it up right away. So, now I am on a new escapade with the new dress maker. She is young, fresh, interns at a designing firm and has a degree in designing, she has also made dresses for run way shows in the fashion district in New York, and I have seen some of her work. I hope to breath easy from here on out. On another note, I plan to do a small welcome basket or bag for everyone and I do not know where to start. I have ideas on what to put in, but it seems really costly being that I now have 100 RSVP. What can I do ladies, who can I use for this? I had a drawstring backpack idea, but look costly...... Welcome to the thread newbie’s and hope to see pictures when we get back.

Purrfected- the mini ones are actually almost the same size as the US passport, it is just maybe 1in off on both sides. I had 4 pages inside. I also did a mini boarding pass inside with the list of activities on it. It held a lot of information. I have them on my album on here, I am still not sure how to post pics to threads.lol I am glad you like the workshe does. Merocket59-The size was just right for the event. I just didn't get the bigger ones due to the cost and trying to save on money. Not that she charged a lot, but didn't know what my budget will look like, so anyway to save on cost I took it.

Thank you so much Jill. I found Taiflora in my ER state last week and have been in contact with Jennevie as well. she has been great so far. I am waiting to get a response on the final cost before I fire the other florist. I did also find florafantasy located in Negril and will come to Ochie for $50.00 but she could not do it for me due to having a big wedding the same day. She called me to teell me that which I thought was nice and refered me to Tai. Thanks again.

OH, I did find Taiflora, and have been in contact with Jenivive who have been good so far, I am waiting on a final price. I will fire the other florist, weddingplannerplus, and use them instead. I tried flora fantasy she was good, but then she called me stating she has a big wedding the same day and can not do mines and reffered me to Tai. I am still please with the work so... Purrfected-You have done a great job so far, I am getting the same from my FI with the music deal. He is a DJ on the side and I need to figure out music now. But, he thinks we have it and not to worry. I am ignoring him at this point and trying to use my other friend who is also a DJ to help incase he wants to be the mad man at the last minute. Not me. I think in your OOT bags you can also put small suntan lotion, buggoff, tissue, camera, small scented candle, lip gloss, and flip flops. There is a thread on here for this I will look for it and post it for you. Also-someone ask for music. Being that it is a beach wedding we/I have decided on steal pan music while we eat, just the intromentals, and then a bunch of other island sounds for the rest of the night, Berres Hammon, Alain, some Stevie Wonder, and man I need my list names are slipping me. I will post it later.

Thanks for the support guys. I am trying to keep a level head about this whole dress thing. I will keep you posted about the outcome after the 16th. I wish I was close to you Jacilynda so I could use your dress maker, the price sounds nice and I hope it all turns out fab. Merocket59 if you decide to do the passport invite I paid 122.00 for 60 mini versions. Mini only because I knew people would get rid of them after my wedding. But they came out so nice people walk with them to work and show others. lol. I used a vendor from this forum Ana de Roux - Custom Invitations, Stationery & Design. maybe she could help you. She also does other types of invites. Welcome to our new addition to the forum. You have done a lot so far, don't worry you are on the right track.

Hi, guys I must say I have not felt this stressed through this entire ordeal. No matter how far ahead you plan, sometimes things just don't work out the way you plan. I decided to get my dress made to save on cost and went with someone that was recommended without seeing other bridal dress she has made, she has made some regular going out dresses which looked nice, but a wedding dress I know is to another level. Well, she did have the frame work down when I saw it for the first time, that was at the end of January. Can you believe I have yet to see my dress again with the alterations and instructions I gave her. I am going nuts in my head. Then to top it off, my florist I choose in Jamaica, Wedding Planner Plus, seem to not be able to provide the beautiful look I am going for. So, I am on the hunt for a new florist and a new dress 5 months into the game. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. Well, things are looking up. I found a new florist, but still taking my time checking them out, TiaFlora.com. I still need to fire the old one, and try to get some of my deposit back. I also set a new date to see my dress by the dress maker which is the 16th of this month. I did also find another dress on davids bridal that could be a runner up. Not my dream look but it can do. I still need to get the flower girl dress, which is this weekend, and start to gather all my items for the out of town baskets, as well as finalize things with school and graduation. Pray for me.

What ceremony music do u use for Bridesmaids??
barrow replied to jesjess's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
well, back to the main question I I think you may use Faith-missing you, or you can do a carribean song like Beres-I am so in love, Jaheim-forever, lenny Williams-because I love you, Al Green-love and happiness. It all depends wha mood you are setting, for yourself. My FI will also be mingling with the guest, that part of the wedding is about you. -

Post here if you are getting married in Jamaica
barrow replied to boscobel's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
Hi, All Name: Tanya (FI-Rodney) Wedding location-Sunset Jamaica Grande Ocho Rios Wedding-August 1, 2009 In-7/29/2009-8/8/2009 I must say my only problem with this area of the forum is that there are not a lot of brides getting married at other locations besides the RIU, not hating, just that all of the info relates only to that hotel and leaves me with not much information to help me. Besides that I love this place, everyone is nice. -
Hello ladies, You have not failed me yet with help. I am having a hard time with the florist I have choosen, I realized that she can not give me what I want, and yes I already made a deposit. I am ready to fire her and possibly do silk flowers. Well, the question is does anyone have a florist in Jamaica that they are happy with? If so could you please pass on some good info to a sister, I am about to become a bridezilla.
