  1. I am sorry it took me so long to respond. Work has been busy! The flowers will 'pop' against those colors. Very nice choices... I love them!
  2. Ooohh.. you look so pretty!! Like a beach princess... and I agree with other gals; either keep it bustled or have the train shortened.
  3. For my first marraige I had a 3stone e-ring very similar to yours except the diamonds were round. My band was 4 or five diamonds the size of my side stones. Whatever covered the width of the diamonds on the e-ring above it. It fit prefectly and looked amazing.
  4. Oh no!! I agree with everyone else. You absolutely SHOULD get a disocunt on the dress for the stress of it not being right if anything. The Qtip with bleach may also work as ppl have suggested. Either way, try not to worry about it. I would make the bridal shop or manufacturer figure out a way to fix it in time for your wedding. This is their error and its thier responsibility for you to be happy. Either way, good luck and hang in there!
  5. The Galina is beautiful and perfect for a beach wedding. Have you tried them all on yet? What do you think of them on YOU... I loved the Galina in the pics; but when I got to the store I didn't love it so much in person on me.

For a destination wedding I can see where spending that much would be okay (especially if they are paying their travel to come) but I just can't afford it! Good luck! I absolutely agree!! If I could afford to spend that much on my bridal party then I absolutely would as they are spending a lot of $$ to share our day with us. But, also Fh put it in perspective; they are not coming just for the wedding they are also getting a vacation out of it with all their friends. It's just a vacation with a wedding that just happens to be on one of the days. Sorry for the ramble, honestly.. if you want to spend that much I am sure that they will appreciate it. But, you can get some really nice stuff for a loss less money just without the little blue box. Let us know what you decide.
  7. Oh and forgot to update everyone.. I recieved my STD magnets; printed my information letter I am sending with them and printed address labels. Fh is picking up stamps today. Yippy!

I've seen a lot of brides on this forum get married in August but I don't want my guests to be dying from the heat.. What are you girls doing for your reception? I wouldn't worry about it too much.. I moved my ceremony to 7pm to get the sunset and cooler temps. I am giving everyone sandalwood fans as favors so they can keep a little cool. I am not having a formal reception... We are doing a quick cocktail hour after on the beach with our first dances; then off to the resort restaurant for dinner and then to the 'disco' to party. If you are really concerned about being outside in the heat; talk to your resort and see if they have inside/air conditioned rooms/restaurant that you can use.
  9. I think that looks perfect! I love the depth of both colors... Nice choices. Its going to be a beautiful wedding. What color flowers are you having?
  10. It is a bit strange.. judging by the wording on the invite they are probably: a) Only having children at the ceremony. Doing a lot of pics in between and maybe a private cocktail hour for the bridal party. For what to wear - I agree with Jamisoncollette... wear a semi formal dress. Something in maybe like a dark purple (that's really hot right now) or a jewel tone with a shrug. In between, you can either go home, back your hotel or find a nice lounge and grab a drink or some lunch.
  11. Thank you so much for all of your support everyone!! Just found out the pic I posted in the beginning of the colored dress- that dress is only available online. Ugh.. So I am going shopping this weekend with my MOH. Cross your fingers for me!
  12. How pretty!! It looks great on you.. and there is NOTHING wrong with your nose! Love the pumpkins too!
  13. I agee with everyone else.. the color looks fantastic on you and the dress is so flattering! Absolutely beautiful!
  14. Love that dress!! So romantic... Good luck trying it on! Cant wait to see pics of you in it!
  15. I would maybe take the ring to a jeweler and see what they think.. They may be able to alter it for you.
  16. I would say to ask your hair stylist. If you don't have one or are using the resort.. I think that the most versatile would be a bobby pin, snap pin or french barrette.

I actually tried on that dress!! Its sooo pretty. It just wasn't "me".. I don't know how else to describe the feeling.
  18. Thank you ladies!! I guess I am just getting nervous. I have tried on sooo many dresses and none seem right.
  19. I also think it will be fine!! I agree with Rachel.. it is really hard to clash neutrals! It may even add some dimension to your color palette.
  20. I am growing ever-more frusterating with my wedding gown search!! I have tried on so many dresses; every style from ballgown to mermaid to sheath to A-line and all in between... I cannot find anything that I am 'in love' with! Everyone talks about finding 'the one' but I am concerned that I will never find it!! I have tried on things that were okay; they would work, but nothing felt perfect. Now I am considering going the non-traditional route to see if I can find something I like that is maybe classified as an evening gown or something... I wouldn't mind doing color.. but FMIL keeps saying that her son should get a bride in white. (This is my 2nd marraige and I think that bothers her!) Fh really doesn't care what color I wear. I found this dress online and want to go try it on; I am almost afraid that I will love it and then FMIL will freak. So, I guess I am just freaking out a bit .. Thanks for listening girls!!!
  21. Your dress is gorgeous and I love the idea of a birdcage veil.. In my totally honest opinion, I am not sure about the black one. The white one looks stunning.. but black may be a bit funeral-esque. That all being said, if you love the idea of the black birdcage and wear it with confidence *along with some fab black accessories* - then I am sure you will look great!!! Let us know what you decide.
  22. Oh no!!! Don't be upset... Wedding dresses generally do come much smaller and honestly; size is just a number anyway. I have been trying on dresses that are 4 to 5 sizes larger than I usually wear in regular clothes! Some fit, some were too large and some were too small.. it all depended on the designer. If the dress is the largest one they have.. ask the attendant to help you pin or clip it on to your undergarments so you can get an idea of how it will look. Hang in there!!!
