I know that sounds a bit.. hoosier but I have to say we had SO many people come up to us afterwards saying they thought it was awesome. Okay, so I started scanning through the ceremony music threads searching for a fourth tropical sounding song for our ceremony, and I suddenly became excited by your idea.... Its completely unexpected and would incorporate the groom's taste amoungst all of the girliness of the wedding. One of my FI's favorites is ACDC... so I'm thinking of having either "You shook me all night" or "TNT" play as our recessional song as a surprise to him. They're both upbeat and would leave a lasting impression (hopefully good)... plus I'm pretty sure it would leave a smile of my groom's face that he was thought of in such a way The rest of the ceremony includes: Katie Melau "Just like Heaven" - Groom's Entrance Hans Zimmer "You're So Cool" - MOH & Horse drawn carriage Entrances Isreal's "Over the Rainbow" - Bride's Procession

Well, after an excess amount of hours designing the darn things in photoshop and about 4 hours of assembly line slave labor from family members, our boarding pass invitations are finally done! The printed colors didn't turn out perfectly, but I'll accept them and move on to the next endeavor. Thanks a million to all of your ladies' priceless ideas! Here they are:

I'm sure there is a better place to post this, but I'm having no luck finding the thread again and the search feature is turning up zero results. I'm having some trouble figuring out where to start with planning our After-Honeymoon Reception (AHR). I know that we're planning on having it a couple months after our return and that it will be a laid back affair backyard BBQ type of affair, but where do we go from there? Any suggestions, insight, direction? How far out am I supposed to start coordinating everything? How far along are you ladies with the plans? Any recommended vendors to find discounted alcohal? Please help! Much Love,

Specifically the pews? Are you have a Catholic Wedding? Are you booked in the Chapel? We aren't doing a Catholic wedding, but we do have the chapel reserved. On the one hand, I would like to keep it simple and let the natural beauty be decoration enough, but on the other hand, I would like the pretty little details. I ordered plenty of flower petals which will be strewn along the aisle, and I was thinking of picking up a simple white aisle runner, but I don't know what to do about the pews. Since they don't offer a cover slip for them, that option is out, but then I'm not really feeling the tulle lining the ends either and I would like to avoid spending anymore than I have to on the flowers offered through the resort. As it is, we're doing a pillar candle display on either end of the altar and I may drape some pretty fabric along the altar. Any suggestions for the pew ends that wouldn't be overkill?

After a little research, I was able to find that a good rule of thumb is to keep them company sealed in their original packaging. I wonder if it would be to suspicious if you hide them like in the inner-interior of your luggage? Also, theres a chance your luggage won't even been inspected. I read on one of the threads that if you place a sweet note inside of your checked luggage stating that you're en route to your wedding and pleading that they be kind to the contents, they will actually put things back nicely in the event its searched. Laura I don't think I have full authority either if it helps. Are you openning several attachments that others have posted? Anytime you open one, it charges something like 50 points...that includes everytime you have to open the same attachment. I'm not sure if you get charged for openning website links though. All I've done is scan through a few sundry threads everytime I'm on, and I make sure that I've logged on. I've also started a handful of new threads. You also get some decent points if you're the one posting an attachment. Other than that, I'm not sure what to tell you. Sorry!

yea!! Thanks for the restaurant info! **** Heads up!**** Although this is not so much MP specific, a friend of mine just returned from Cancun and her biggest suggestion is to bring bio-degradable sun block. They charge a fortune in the tourist zone ($25/bottle) and will not permit you to snorkle, or swim with the dolphins, etc... if you use standard sun protection.

Cancun International Airport - Customs

The resort we are staying at will only permit real petals, this includes eco-friendly freeze dried petals. Of course in my excitement, I ordered what I wanted on sale, and then starting questioning if I would be able to make it passed customs. After a little research, I found this: Cancun International Airport - Customs From what I understand, as long as the products are unopenned and remain sealed in their original packaging, it should be ok. Any differing thoughts?

Also, a follow-up on the listing of answers received from Claudia... I gave her a quick call this morning and she stated that as long as the product is environmentally friendly, we are allowed to use freeze-dried petals. To anyone interested in using petals, but are on a budget that won't permit spending $40/bag, flyboynaturals.com is running some anniversary sale with some great discounts. Although there are more premium quality products elsewhere, you're also going to pay a premium price. I was able to pickup 60 cups of their "premium" (not seconds rejects) off-white rose petals and 50 cups of antique green/blue/purple hydrangea petals for $110, plus $16 S&H. All of which are deemed "eco-friendly." Although I would have preferred to wait a few months, who knows when a sale like this will come up again. I'll just have to store them in a dark, cool dry place for a few months.

Now I'm starting to question if it will be an issue getting through customs with them ... eek! Ok... After a little research online, I found that as long as the products remain in their original "company sealed" packaging, there shouldn't be a problem. Good luck!... Oh, and P.S. the petals cost $110 (for 110 cups, can't beat that) plus $16 s/h.

Freeze dried petals are real flowers. I've dropped a line to our wedding coordinator, I'm just waiting on a response to make sure that it is ok prior to placing the order. Hopefully she responds quickly so I can take advantage of the sale!

I will definately check them out. Based on the added expense, I thinking that I would be willing to make some concessions and go with rose petals in an ivory/white/green mix. I found one website that carries both green and blue freeze dried roses for $16.95/8 cups ($99 for 64 cups), although I'm not sure if I'm sold on the green. I will definately order a sample to see what it looks like in person. Thanks for the suggestion! Shop for Wedding Rose Petals - Studio FLauren

Looking for insight from anyone thats stayed on the Grand side....please! I called to book our hotel reservation today for a superior deluxe room on the Grand Side. We desperately prefer a room with a view of the ocean. Is there any particular room or building that we should request that would ensure a nice view? Much love and appreciation!
