MalibuBarbie, no, the baby(its a boy!) is not due until Jan,thats why we had to change our plans. She (the babies mom) was thinking she would be ready to leave that month old new baby at home. But, she decided that she would go only if her mom would stay home and keep the baby. Then they got together and decided that it would just be easier if the wedding was here in Galveston two weeks before cruising. So, after an unfortunate accident, baby to bes daddy, shot himself thrut he wrist and then up thru his arm and has already had 5 surgeries and still has a couple more..so I dont think they are going to be able to cruise with us after all!! But, too late now, as plans are already in the works for the Galveston wedding. We had thought about having some pictures made in Cabo, but her dress is REALLY formal, and would be a pain to pack just for pictures ...so I thought maybe just pack her veil and have some cute "almost got married on Cabo" pics!

We are taking the Mariner Of The Seas Mexican Riviera Cruise Feb 22,2009. This will be my sons honeymoon cruise. He had planned on getting married in Cabo, but family issues (a sweet new addition to the family) are preventing this, so we are having a beach wedding here in Galveston and then cruising two weeks later. This is a group cruise, and we did get perks. We are really looking forward to this cruise. It will be my sons first, so will be fun to see cruising thru his eyes! We really were sorry that we had to cancel the Cabo wedding, as Im sure it will be much pretty weather there than in Galveston. You never know what it will be in Feb. On RCI they have someone to come onboard and take your blood for the bt, and then drive you to the beach area for the wedding. It wasnt much cheaper doing this than in Galveston!! I know your wedding will be wonderful, enjoy!

Cheese Diva, congrats on the new baby! I didnt know they did that many ultra sounds! My baby is 32... Ive given him strict instuctions for a baby girl! He usually minds, just hope so in this case! I love my DITB and feel so fortunate that he found her...... I just realized,I think Im posting in the wrong place, but congrats anyway! Dot

Hello, Im going to be a Mother In Law! And a good one, I hope! My son is getting married Feb 7th,2009. They are having a beach wedding in Galveston,and we are still in the planning stage. Good thing its in Feb, or we would be out of luck! So many things have come up that have prevented us from making plans. Right now, we are trying to settled on a venue reception. Anyone out there that knows about Galveston venues, please speak up! Dot
