I'm getting them made at Shavon's Wedding Silks who other BDW members have raved about and the photos look great. Just to give you an idea, I want orchids, I love orchids and I want lots of them. For a brides bouquet, 6 bridesmaids, 1 groom bout, 9 groomsmen & family bouts & 4 ladies corsages + shipping is $245... quoted @ AS it's about $1,000

Those will be fake orchids as well. I am going to be bringing a lot with me so extra baggage fees, here I come. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get champagne there, does anyone know the legalities of bringing many bottles of alcohol into the country?

They are a cluster of 3 sizes of vases filled with rocks, green orchids and floating clear flower candles. That's great news about the napkins! Ash!! OMG that's literally EXACTLY what I wanted to do! I'd love to see pics, I was wondering how I was giong to do that and where to buy the stuff. Thanks for sharing

I searched but didn't find this subject covered... for past brides who shipped items down to Mexico from the states, did anyone successfully ship champagne? The price my resort wants to charge me WAY too much for just one bottle! I really want a champagne toast too... Any knowledge of legalities or rules, advice anything would be helpful! I don't know what the distribution laws or limits are. Thanks ladies for any help!

KittenHeart, my bouquet is more expensive too, but my $50 went towards the two boutinieres -for my FH and his BM. You should check on that. It wasn't a problem for us to do that at all. I'm a bit bummed about the beach too.... we are all ocean dwellers (why we didn't get married in Cabo) I guess water socks/shoes will be the order of the day! That's great to know! I'm going to do that then. I think I'm going to get natural touch flowers for the rest of us... I did the math and the pricing for flowers vs. fake are no question. It's more than triple the cost for wedding party flowers NOT including centerpieces so I hope my fake ones look good

What?! My WC told me that napkins and linens came with my package or private event!!! I'm gonna ask her again. Oh and the brides bouquet that comes with package is a $50 bouquet, the one I liked was $300 and they won't even knock the $50 off to upgrade. So annoying... Sorry, this turned into a rant =/

MrsVaughn - trust me that's not Bridezilla of you at all! You're not asking too much of them, it's too bad that they are giving you a hard time. I myself have issues with my own mother. My father is passed away and my mom is having money issues and so her and my brother probably won't end up coming. On the other hand, she's all for it and happy to help me make decisions, yet she won't come? I've even offered to pay for her and her reply is that she's afraid to fly. Ughhh it doesn't add up to me. I still can't believe that none of my family will be there yet FI's releatives and parents are coming and they live in Australia and have never even met me! Weddings and traveling really bring out a different side to people.

Two weeks from today, I will be waking up at Sensatori for vacation. I promise if anything even remotely seems bad, I will let you ladies know. Also, I will bring my laptop for live posting!!! So, everybody change their karma to positive or something!!! I still have no wedding dress, but going to Atlanta in 2 days, so keep your fingers crossed. Thanks Ash! I'm going to stay positive! Brides change locations all the time from other hotels to different hotels, it happens. I hope you have a great trip, I can't wait to hear all about it.

I bought my first OOT bag item on Friday, couldn't pass it up! Target's dollar section had mini "Cocktails for Dummies" booklets on sale for 50% off, 50 cents a piece! I remember when I was in Cancun last year, them not knowing a lot of the off the wall drinks and shots so I'm going to make a note on them saying something to the effect of "when you're drinks are unlimited, so are your options! - bring me to the bar" (that needs a little work ) I also had a sample bag sent to me from 4imprint, a black lined jute tote that I'm in love with, a little pricey but I'm not doing favors so I want to do quality bags people will reuse for the beach.

Whole Foods, Trader Joes or online @ Vitamin Shoppe. Emergen-c is a vit-c powder you put in water, I put it in hot lemon tea personally and I haven't missed a day of work this year because of it. It's a lifesaver! It comes in a box of 30 packets for about $7 - $8 bucks, can't beat it! Search Results The Vitamin Shoppe

Wedding Dress Prices?
KittenHeart replied to gkashmira's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I went in thinking I could find something simple for less than $1,000... let me just tell you that you shouldn't try anything on OVER your budget. I didn't check the price of the dress I ended up buying until AFTER I fell in love with it... oh well -
Congrats and welcome! I would narrow it down to a city and country first and take it from there, if you get a travel agent that visits the resorts he works with then they can help you out A LOT!
