I think it does come with the covers it's the sashes that are extra. You can't even move them from the ceremony to the reception without a charge!

Great advice Scubadiva! I'm the SAME way, I love shopping but I was scared to death to try on dresses! I thought it was gonna be a nightmare. I brought 3 girls with me the first time and we made a girls day of it. Stopped by Starbucks on the way out, I mapped out all the places I wanted to check out. We had a sushi lunch together and got frozen yogurt it was a great day. Granted I didn't find ANYTHING remotely close that day and the last chick irritated all my girls more than me even because I was just not going to let anyone get me down. We all had a fabulous day and I tried on dresses I never would have thought looked good that did and found out that the dress type I was after looked terrible on me, it was a learning experience which later led me to going at it alone and finding the one Just don't freak out, relax, you'll find it and know when you have, enjoy finding your dress because it doesn't happen again!

It'd definitely not fair for the BM to put you both in this situation first of all, he should have been up front from the beginning. Does he have no one he can borrow them money from or put on a credit card? This definitely shouldn't be your burden and it's a tough situation to be put in for your wedding ESPECIALLY since he's your FI's only friend coming. If he wasn't you're FI's only friend I'd say he either needs to work out some sort of payment plan to you both or figure it out himself. Since he's FI's only friend... IMHO, I know I'd be irritated with the BM but it would be worth it to make FI happy he had he's main man there on the special day. I'd say you work up an agreement, maybe see if he can come up with SOME of it, or at least the flight. Is he not working right now or something?

HAHA! I am always saying to FI -"The girls on the forum..." or he asks where I got an idea or why I all of a sudden want to do something and I say "My forum friends" ... I think he kinda likes it because he's a technical nerdy sort Telling my friends though... they're like you're part of a what?

Katie - I was totally thinking the same thing, I feel like I know you ladies already, 8 months from now we'll know all the details of the wedding for sure! I think that's what we'll have to do then, stop by each others wedding for at least a quick toast if not extensive dancing and fun! Nicole - That sounds like so much fun! I got my way with getting pricey photos so I don't need a gift! I think I just figured out what I'm going to get him that he would love the most. A deep sea fishing trip for him and his boys! It's perfect!

Good suggestion Allisa!! Man 2 weeks I might have to be taking some serious sleeping pills or muscle relaxers I already dream wedding stuff non-stop! I'm sitting next to FI's BM who's doing our monogram with my direction, I'm going a different route so hopefully it turns out well!

Oh wow! I sent out my STD's in May, exactly one year away. I was planning on making my formal invites soon and asking for RSVP's by October 1st and booking by the end of 2009 no later. I keep sending out emails too which is really good, stressing the benefits of booking early it's just hard.

That's a good question, honestly they look real but who knows! I'm gonna have to do some research and test it at home because if I can buy silk stems and put them in water I'll do that for sure. Meghan - on another note, how did you get so many people booked SO early? I have more than half of the people not yet booked, telling me I'm nuts to have them book so early. I keep telling them that they don't understand and this isn't that early... so frustrating.

We had a bomb threat earlier this year! A suspicious ticking briefcase was found and in came the bomb squad, super scary but it was a false alarm thankfully

Ash - I can't see the picture either Actually $85 isn't bad at all considering the prices on Lomas for some of the other so/so centerpieces. Katie - as a group we only need $50 total... since I don't need $50 worth of pasminas I thought we'd go in on it together to get the good price. That puts us at needing 13 pasminas when I only need maybe ten, Bree is getting 10 and you can let us know how many you want. I'm also going to scour the internet for a coupon code, hopefully free shippng or get them cheaper! Then we'll all just split the cost and go from there!
