I'm worried though, I live in LA and we shot in downtown and it was 105 degrees that day but all the fires going on, who knows if I'm going to look like a sweaty smokey mess

Lady Di - I wish! I lack photoshop & illustrator so FI's BM sat next to me for 3 hours while I described what I wanted So I was art direction and lead designer!

It’s so easy to freak out in these strange times of economy and what not but just vent and one of us that isn’t freaking out at the time will try and offer sound advice Ok keep the Sky Deck as your goal and I bet you could make it happen! My WC told me that colored fabric is $100 a piece and white is 2 for $100. I’m just using white, I like the look of it on the dark wood anyways. If you bring your own fabric they may charge you $50 set up fee so it’s all relative. I was going to bring centerpieces, chair bows, table runners, paper lanterns, twinkle lights and may even buy Champagne at the Costco down there and have them serve it if I’m allowed. If you and I have similar tastes with anything we can coordinate and share décor too! That could save you some money! OH good! OMG I just met Chris on Sunday, he did our engagement shoot and he’s wonderful to work with, creative and really professional. He told me what to do and had great ideas and I felt really comfortable with him. I’ve been tossing and turning waiting to get my pictures from him it’s killing me!

Just make sure it's a reputable site. There are many of these sites based in China that make these dresses incredibly cheap but the quality tends to suffer sometimes. I don't want to delve into your personal business of course but you still have 8 months, why don't you find out when you have to make you decision by and just wait and see if that changes for you. If it's something you really want, maybe it's meant to be and things will get better for you in a way to make it happen. As for the decorations, that IS very misleading and ridiculous!!! I say just bring your own decor, I definitely am. My WC said they would set it up for me for no cost unless it was elaborate... now what do you think elaborate is... hmmm. Make me wonder! Bring your own stuff it's much cheaper anyways, I'm bringing my own centerpieces. The Mexican vendor thing I knew... doesn't bother me too much because I was never planning on using a vendor in Mexico and I got a deal with my photog. What if you downgraded to the silver package to save money and get a small package from my photographer and you won't be paying ANY fee at all and then maybe the Sky Deck could magically fit in. Katie pretty much already answered your question so I'll just add to it a bit: I think the $500 vendor fee actually applies to ANY outside vendor that’s not approved by the resort. Flowers, cake, photographer etc. I could be wrong but I thought this was the case. Past brides can correct me if I’m wrong. Also, if you have a photographer you are bringing with you, just have him be one of your guests. That’s what I’m doing and they won’t bug you for the $500 fee. It’s normally $500 or 3 nights stay that they charge you and he will be there for 3 days or more so it’s all good. They send you all the info for Loma’s Weddings, the approved vendor once you book, Katie sent you most of that info already. Here’s something to look and see what the best times of day and month are to go and sunset times. I originally wanted my wedding this September but found out its peak hurricane season at the moment, I’m so glad I changed my date as there is currently a hurricane in Cabo and it’s nearly a category 5… too risky! Sunrise and Sunset for Mexico – Quintana Roo – Cancún – coming days If you get the Silver or Gold package a 40 person dinner @ Spoon is included no charge. It’s not private though and there is no DJ option or dancing area. Private dinner are a per person cost dependant on the menu and may require a minimum number of guests.
