I don't know how many past brides still read this thread but I'm having a difficult time deciding on cocktail hour and dinner: Has anyone done the Donkey Bar on the Yoga Palapas? Has anyone gotten the Surf & Turf menu 4? It's really hard deciding one meal that everyone will like without doing a buffet. Any suggestions would be FABULOUS, thanks!

Does anyone want to laugh? I just got my flower quotes for my centerpieces and bridesmaids bouquets which are custom, not chosen from the Loma's website.... $400 per centerpiece and $300 per bridesmaids bouquet. This made me seriously laugh, it only cements my decision to bring fake flowers so I'm happy that something positive came from this!

OMT - Thank you I did design it! That was our first draft, our final monogram is my avatar. It's got the addition of seahorses in the corners and a postmark with our initials

Same as the other girls except my FI suggested giving our single guys (mainly the groomsmen only) messenger bags which I thought was a pretty good idea actually. Or you could always get the cheap bag for the guys, a paper one might even suffice for those not planning to reuse it.

Hahaha! Thanks Katie Aww that's so cute, FI and I bought our rings in May and it was fun but that didn't hit me as anything because we were still a year away! Seeing the 7 1/2 month mark is freaky. I'm so happy your decision was for the best Katie, nothing like the relief of making the right decision that's for sure! My Lingerie/Bridal Shower couldn't have gone better. It was Leather and Lace themed and all my girls dressed up and my MOH made sheer white and sage curtains and hand made black lace pillow cases and her husband made a table and the covered it in candles and we had this amazing lounge outside near the pool. They created a photoshoot area and had spelled out "A & D" in tealights that was like 6 feet long! We played games and I got TONS of lingerie, too much to even wear on my honeymoon, it was such an amazing time I can't believe it. =) We will be thrown a Doe & Stag next year closer to event time! Everything for me just started going well, I finally got some good suggestions and cost saving ideas from my WC, I know, crazy right?! Ahhh sorry for rambling, I just had such a great time

Congrats and welcome!!! I'm a May bride as well in Mexico though. This forum is great, you'll be adding amazing things to your wedding you never would without the creativity and help from these girls!

What if you took the dress you didn't buy because it was too expensive and have it made?? You know I tried on like 80 dresses before I got frustrated and actually went bridal shopping alone... not sure if you've already done this but if you just relax and go with no expectations and no ones opinion but your own it kind of helped clear my head and take the time I needed. Then I brought back the whole clan to re-affirm my decision

He's 6'1 & I'm 5'7 and I think I've got 3.5 or 4 inch heels.

Yes how crazy is that? He's been divorced three times now with three different baby mamas!

It's hard to choosse without seeing the last 4 on you but I still love dress #2 the best!
