  1. Thank you!! This is EXACTLY what I'm stuck on
  2. For my MOH's bachelorette I didn't make shirts... but I maid sticker's that say "Kira's Bitch" for her to stick on guys which she LOVED and I made shot glasses for all the girls that said "Kira's Last Shot Vegas Bachelorette ~ May 2009" with a skull and cross bones but the writing was all pink (wedding color) Oh I made the bride to be a tank top actually! It was pink and in black writing on the front it said "I'm getting married..." on the back it said "...unless you can stop me!" Everyone loved it!
  3. Hmmm yeah that't not totally fair for you, they're already married too which should give you double priority right? If they were going to do it just the two of them it's no biggy but I'd say that it's not cool for the to ride on your coat tails so to speak and bring your guests in on their wedding renewal. I'd find a polite way to let her know that you have activities planned for the week and you'd prefer if they picked another week to renew their vows as you would want to witness it as well but will be unable during your own wedding week. Good luck!

I also want to do a day excursion to Chita Itza (sp?) earlier in the week with whomever wants to join. That one everyone would have to pay on their own. I think the next couple weeks I am going to send out the brochure and timeline and see what people want to do. FI and I did a day trip to Chitzen Itza and as awesome as it was, it was 3 hours away from Cancun! It was a 12 hour excursion and completely exhausting! So if you go, do a shorter one because we came back and totally crashed. I would have rather done a shorter trip and be able to do something that night. I've heard the Tulum ruins are good too and much closer. Just a little piece of advice!
  6. Sadly that sounds about right down there... I got quoted $300 for my cymbidium & tulips bridesmaids bouquets and stopped there and went straight to real touch flowers. My bouquet is phalaenopsis orchids, cymbidium orchids, peonies & cala lillies, real touch for $100 and I'll keep it forever. My bridesmaids bouqets also went from $300 to $50 each... oh and my 3 orchid stems in 3 vases went from $400 a table... yes seriously, to $25 for the 3 per table. I highly recommend looking into real touch, they're gorgeous!

  8. Friday, October 30th 2009 - enjoying a lunch/BDW break at my desk, eating my split pea soup and Starbucks Just thinking about how I am going to bake pies for the Halloween party tomorrow and workout again after feeling like someone beat me up. This new workout is kicking my butt!
  9. Lindz - Have a great weekend! Tell us where you went to celebrate Halloween! We should all upload our pictures of us in our costumes to our siggy's on Monday I'm checking out the websites you recommended too, thanks! I hope you ladies all have a wonderful and safe Halloween!

In case i don't have a chance to get back on here before I leave, tty when I get back!! Nicole I can't believe it's here already!!! I hope you feel 100% by time you board the plane tomorrow. You're goint to have a fabulous wedding, I'm sending you positive thoughts!!
  11. I'm pretty stubborn and so is my mom, so if it were me personally and my mom had told me this, I honestly would have told her. I will not agree to ANY terms whatsoever, it's my wedding and she can be there if she supports it and won't badmouth it or make rude remarks. If she can not do that, she's not coming. Sorry if that's very harsh but it's pretty black and white to me. Good luck, I hope it all works out in the end... maybe calmly telling her how you feel first before jumping to my harsh conclusions, LOL!
  12. OMG your dress is absolutely gorgeous!! You look stunning in it too, great choice!

Inform the other each person that the other is planning one as well, maybe your FMIL can do more of a family based shower and MOH can do the friend shower OR you can choose who you prefer throw you a shower and tell the other person that (fill in the blank) is already throwing you a shower. I don't see TWO parties instead of one an issue hun, people love you!

  15. OMG you MUST buy these shoes!! They are killer and will make for some great photos! You could even wear them in your BD shoot too and for the rest of your life. As a shoe addict I must ask politely that you purchase them to fulfill the need for the rest of us CL fans

Not a bad dress, just not for me. SOOOO if anyone likes it I have a post in the "Sell, Trade, Freebie" category with this on there That really is a pretty dress!! May I ask where you got it from and how much?
  17. Good luck Amy! Maybe if we all keep reporting to each other, it will be easier to stick with My name is Amy too BTW
  18. Ooo I would be in trouble if I lived in Bermuda! Yeah calorie counting is only for the control freaks/anal retentive people <----- totally referring to myself here, so please no one get offended! If you are at least aware of the cal count in something it helps you make wise decisions, that was all I was saying. If you can avoid sit down restaurants at all, that's a good start. Also, if you do go to a restaurant, asking them to bring a togo box with your meal (especially if it's big) helps portion control. Stick half the food in a togo box before you eat. Also if you're going to eat carbs, eat wheat or grain carbs no matter what. Stick to lots of veggies if you can and lean meats, non sweet alcoholic drinks and no dessert or lowcal dessert if possible. For P90X, the diet and regimen is very strict so I ended up using a protein shake as dessert. Almond milk, light milk chocolate or vanilla muscle milk powder with peanut butter tastes like the most decadent dessert (milkshake) or throw berries or a banana in there or yogurt. Also for dessert if I need something, a Think Think choc/peanut butter bar (sugar free) tastes like actual choc or my fav, sugar free jello pudding with fat free frozen cool whip and sliced strawberries. Yum! Wow, I just ended up giving you dessert recipes, ok so I'm not a perfect dieter but I am REALLY good at finding loopholes

Well by the end of their little coffee chat, the ex girlfriend decided that she still loved my fiance.....so she drafted up a pathetic love letter professing her love and left it with my FMIL. We live in NY and she lives in Atlanta.. when my fiance flew in to see her (his mother) she HAND DELIVERED THE LOVE LETTER and told him to "read it in a quiet place" WTF!!!! This woman really ruffles my feathers!!! Who does that?!?!? OMG!!!!! NOT COOL! I really have NO idea how I would react to this, it's just unimaginable that a mother would do that!!!
  20. OMG Brandy... sorry I agree, your FMIL sounds like a terrible woman! I can't believe she has pictures up of FI & his ex and had the NERVE to say that to you about how "wonderful" she is!! I would have said, is she was so "wonderful" why is she out of the picture? I would have by now, told her off, in front of people.... especially with the remark about your mom not needing to come wedding dress shopping with you! I'm totally shocked! Then next, I'd move my wedding FURTHER away... out of the country and let her whine until her hearts content BTW - My wedding colors are black, ivory & green and I think you made a FABULOUS choice
  21. Like the other girls said, this is a big decision but it sounded to me like you had already made your decision. I think that you should trust your instincts absolutely and think about how he is treating his ex and kids in a passive manner, you don't ever want to be in that situation. Good luck, I'm sorry that you're in this tough decision!
