Thanks ladies for your suggestions and at least I know I'm not alone! Karen that's so cute, I love it! I'm not getting married on the beach, I'm getting married on a Sky Deck so I think that's what's challenging. I've been focusing on a lot of little details instead of big items... probably totally backwards but I can't handle the big stuff

My biggest stressor is getting people to book, I mean to actually secure their room and flight. Getting people to RSVP has been fine, it's booking that is so complicated. My TA is always going one million miles an hour and he drives me crazy. I would PAY someone to get everyone to book, it literally keeps me up at night. This forum has totally been my saving grace and would absolutely be my one piece of advice for a destination wedding, you girls are the BEST!

Congrats and welcome dalia!!! We're happy to have you Advice... hmm don't stress out over details and things that may not seem to go your way at first, it's my worst vice and it always ends up being for nothing. Come vent to us, most of us have experienced it or experiencing it. Ask questions! Don't be afraid to ask us or others on this forum, everyone is so HELPFUL, I feel like I'm cheating planning my wedding with so much help from everyone. Good luck!

Is anyone else having extreme trouble with invitation wording? I think I've been working on my invite wording since August... no I know actually, it's been in the making for awhile. Argggg. I'm having the hardest time!

Andrea - what kind of stuff did you get at your shower? Stuff off your registry? Katie - Even WORSE! I thought my math was off and I was thinking, oh I've got an extra month!! NOPE. You two are under 6 months my friend Lindz - Can't wait to see the pix! AmyB- A placecard tree is the vision in my head at this point. I saw something similar to it and decided to take a chance and make it myself. I'm going to ship it down to a shipping/receiving company in Mexico and just pick it up when I get there. I purchased a manzanita branch which is dead but looks alive and it's strong. Then I purchased this wood box and flower foam to stick the branch in and hold it in place then river rocks to put on top and moss to line the inside of the box. Then I have been buying up vintage playing cards with all different birds on them and sage ribbon. I'm going to punch a hole and string the ribbon through and hang the birds in the tree. The back of the card will be the table number and the persons name which I will hand paint. The table number number will be the original number of the playing card. I really hope this all goes as planned. Also, as if I don't have enough to do already, I decided I am going to make fabric hair flowers for my bridesmaids as well instead of have them made (too pricey) and also may attempt DIYing my birdcage veil. I need to stop adding stuff to my list!

You guys all had such cute ideas for asking your bridal party! I love it I'm making up for my lameness by giving them awesome gifts, buying them off? Katie!!!!! Don't freak me out!!! 6 months to go!!! I got something done this weekend so I feel good about 6 months to go. I scheduled by BD shoot, just under 3 months away, great incentive to keep up my strenuous workout! Scheduled my hair appt with my hairdresser and inquired to a makeup artist who does airbrushing makeup. Also, ordered some more lingerie outfits and looked at shoes My photog told me to send him some inspiration photos of the style I'm looking for. I also went downtown to the flower district with a friend and got some items for my placecard tree. The tough part is getting it down there, arg! May be well worth it though because it's gonna look awesome. Changed up our ceremony/first dance music, liking it a little better but still have some changes to make. I downloaded a bunch of pictures yesterday to make an inspiration board for wedding, hair and BD. I booked FI & my flights on Friday and am waiting for pricing from our TA for our honeymoon resort. Finishing up my invite wording this week so I can send off the info to have them started to be created. Still so much to do!!!

I'm bringing my own photographer as well! He is so talented and I love his style and during talks to him he waived all travel fees!
