Oooh the Christmas cards are genius! I resorted to sending personal emails to people telling them I needed the number of definites to get to the number to my coordinator At least you have 40 booked! I only have like 22 with 35 still yet to book! I'm tearing my hair out! Everyone wants to wait... arg. haha my dreams are more depressing, my dreams are me in a wedding dress which is not mine, standing alone in an empty parking lot waiting for FI's best man to pick me up which he does in his Scion TC and we're not in Mexico and I have no bridal party... -

The pressure I've been feeling lately is unlike any other... trying to be creative with the nagging insecurity of people not booking in time has literally been keeping me up at night, nightmares for real! Speaking to a friend of mine who already got married, she told me it's normal... doesn't feel normals to have wedding nightmares arg! If anything good has come from this, I've been motivated on my working out as it relieves my stress a bit I'm going to be booking my DJ this week and buy my TTD dress. I'm looking into starting a cleanse as well to slim up for my BD shoot in January. Hope you ladies are doing well! -
Nicole, oh good!!! Thank you, that's what I figured, they aren't going to take it away from us once confirmed. The donkey cocktail hour, it's where the bring the donkey (His name is Filemon) and he has a sombrero on and hangs out during your cocktail hour and people can pet him and take pictures with him. He's the cutest thing ever, I originally asked for him not to be there but when I heard what his name was and saw a picture of him I felt bad for not letting him come

The best workout DVDs I have ever owned- P90X

Yeah Tony get's annoying, especially three months in when you're mouthing to yourself his lines you've heard 1,000 times... FI and have conversations back and forth of his lines... I prefer the scary yelling personally Has anyone tried the $120 Shakeology drink? They keep selling me on it until I remember how expensive it is -

So we're off to the courthouse this afternoon! How exciting!!!!!

Honestly this was the #1 reason I booked the AZUL, I loved the idea and so does my FI. So, I am hoping it turns out to be a short lived issue with the donkey and he'll be there May 29th to celebrate my wedding Agreed! Totally ignoring this! You know what I actually think from past experience, is that if we already booked it, we have it. They won't rescind something they already promised us, that would just be extremely bad business. I am pretty sure that they are just not allowing future bookings of the donkey cocktail reception. I'm pretty sure we're totally golden... I have a few things that are no longer offered (like the free package) and they are still on my details sheet so no worries Amy

I wanted to do "When you say Nothing at All" by Alison Krause but then someone kinda made fun of it and I started second guessing myself. So typical. Anyways, I decided it might be more fun to do "Is This Love" by Bob Marley. So of course I emailed FI and asked what he thought and he said: "Yeah thats good. Or I'm cool with No Woman No Cry too. Whatever." hahahahhah This is why I am marrying him! So funny! Aww, Amy I hate it when people do that! It seems like people don't really like my ceremony music that much either and friends are not for my first dance song. The problem with music is that everyone has different music tastes so you can't 100% listen to them, I say as long as the song really suits you and FI, that's all that matters Needless to say I'm still up in the air about my first dance song due to it's unpopularity HAHA, that's great, "No Woman, No Cry" would be hilarious!

I didn't even know they provided sample ceremonies! There is a thread on here where people share their ceremony scripts and some are really good.

I've emailed them but have not gotten any information yet. We think we would do the gold package. Any info on the menu options? Ceremony location pictures? If we have above 40 what the cost is? Photographer recommendations and cost? Has the Ipod option worked well and if so do I need to rent speakers? Welcome dinner or reception costs/locations? So many questions! Congrats and welcome!! Katie is right, there is SO much info on this thread I'd take the time to scan through (I know it's a lot) but there are so many reviews, ideas, suggestions, pictures it would be worth it. Also, I wouldn't suggest a package. It does give you some unnecessary items, I'm building my own and it works better as I get exactly what I want. Also, none of us want to freak you out but I think I speak for most of us when I say that a DW isn't easier than a local wedding by any means. It would ease your mind to do a site visit but I don't think of us active girls on this thread have done so (saves $) and it's a bit nerve wracking. Also, most of us will be needing to bring down decor, flowers and odds and ends due to the resort being overpriced for what we wanted or just not what we wanted etc. This goes for pretty much all resorts in Mexico and surrounding areas... the longer you stay on this forum the more of a commonality and pattern you'll notice. DW's are tricky and it does force you to get creative. I am bringing a photographer and a DJ with me & one of my bridesmaids owns a salon and will do my hair and makeup which is pricey but I can't take the risk. So just be prepared for a bit more work leading up to the wedding, once you're there the coordinators onsite I've heard are amazing and really take care of you, it's the prep stuff that can get overwhelming sometimes. The good news is, this forum will be your saving grace and all these girls are so lovely and helpful, I don't know what I'd do without them! Good luck to you, I hope we can help you out

Thanks for sharing that BTW, those photos are amazing, it makes me really excited to have my wedding there So she did her cocktail hourish/reception outside of Spoon it looks like? I wonder where she got those colorful lanterns, they are pretty cool!

OMG Katie... this is totally something I would have done.... when I read this I immediately was like, "that's a brilliant idea! I should do this" I think my budget is OVER perfect, I count every red cent, including any facials or health stuff I do for the wedding which I think shouldn't count.

Crista & Andrea - Thank you!! Figured it was time to switch it up Andrea - yes they can make waterproof everything! From what I've heard, Bobby Brown some of the best, expensive but one of my friends who got married, had them do a free makeup on her and bought what they used and duplicated it herself on her wedding day and it looked wonderful. She balled her eyes out and nothing moved, even last through the next day

LOL, OMG do you want to feel better? I invited two people, one of whom I just met a few weeks ago because we were having a blast together one night bar hopping... I wasn't even drunk, just buzzed and having a great time. What was I think?! I haven't heard anything from them about it but I realized it the next morning and was like... uh what did I do?!

The best workout DVDs I have ever owned- P90X
KittenHeart replied to rodent's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
FutureMsMoulton - HAHAHA! Tony man, he just gabs constantly!! Insanity is all high intensity cardio and training intervals, no weights. After P90X I wanted something totally different and boy did I get it. Insanity is harder than anything I've ever done. It's also only 60 days which intrigued me as I'm doing my BD shoot in January and I had 2 months at the time to get into shape. I'm about to complete week 3 of this and FINALLY last night I had my breakthrough and things started getting easier. Insanity causes you to push yourself far beyond you ever thought you could go. Watch the little clip video to get an idea INSANITY - Fitness, Nutrition, Diet, Weight Loss Official Web site Bholthof - I know what you mean, in the middle of P90X and planning my wedding I was planning my best friends bridal shower, bachelorette party in Vegas and helping her with the wedding pretty much the entire month of May and into June. So just make up the time and try not to worry too much, you'll get back to it soon
