As for th GM only 1 of the original boys asked is coming...maybe we'll just buy them drinks at the resort. LOL What did you girls do for gifts? Haha, I honestly don't think anyone is "expecting" gifts from you to be honest I'd say paying for the dresses and MOH shoes is quite a gift. I didn't pay for dresses and shoes at all, although I did tell them they could wear whatever they wanted as long as it was cute, black and to their knees with black shoes. More cocktail attire almost, I figured if I wasn't paying for their attire I couldn't force them to wear whatever I wanted. Soooo to answer you're question I'm doing OOT bags for the guests and a special OOT bag for the wedding party. For my MOH & FI's BM I made custom Converse (I made some for FI & I too) with their names on them. For the bridesmaids I have the following so far: Little bag to give to them before we leave: - Custom passport covers of vintage maps of Mexico and vintage Mexican stamps all stitched together - Neck pillow for the flight - Homemade bubble bath and or bath salts - Maybe luggage tags In OOT bag for BM's/MOH at resort I'll hand out upon their arrival to the hotel: Big black and white striped beach bags - black pashmina - JCrew flip flops - sleep mask - dry erase door hanger - room key/tip holder on wristlet - cocktails for Dummies book - common Spanish phrases book - travel candle - custom matches - necklace made by me - hair feather fascinator made by me - deck of cards - lip balm - welcome letter and card - guest room finder - wedding week timeline - maraca - going to the dollar store forr buy repellant, hangover kit stuff and vitamins, snacks and protein bars. The boys will have messenger bags with: - Regular Converse - Fun argyle socks and tie for the wedding - Flip flops - dry erase door hanger - room key/tip holder on wristlet - cocktails for Dummies book - common Spanish phrases book - travel candle - custom matches - deck of cards - lip balm - welcome letter and card - guest room finder - wedding week timeline - maraca - going to the dollar store forr buy repellant, hangover kit stuff and vitamins, snacks and protein bars. Holy smokes... I think I've gotten totally out of control!!! Not until just now listing everything out have I realized that I need to calm down.

No one is expecting you to do OOT (Out Of Town) bags and I'm sure they will be suprised to see awesome quality customized mugs. I say no worries

It's all about illusions, I'm tall and wear tall heels. I have really long legs too so I appear smaller in clothing especially how I dress. I have a short torso and HUGE hips, seriously big ol' hips. That's awesome you lost 6lbs!! Losing weight like I did, very quickly with a drastic diet change is not good for you and it's temporary. So don't be too impressed

I think by Friday I should feel ready, I'm going to be working out and eating really well and hopefully the working out will tighten me up a bit more. It was miserable at the end of it. I was supposed to drink epsom salt and water 4 times and wasn't able to the last time, felt too sick I knew it would have just come back up so I skipped it. The cleanse's purpose is to remove liver and kidney stones so it's not really a weight loss thing but did that as well somehow. I had to drink a cup of olive oil mixed with a cup of grapefruit juice which is more calories than I consume in a day!

Our OOT bags and pics!
KittenHeart replied to tkolman773's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
Wow, what a gorgeous OOT bag! Thanks for sharing -
AmyB - Wow, congrats on getting so much done, you definitely should be proud! I'll update the to-do list when I get back to work on Monday because that's where the master is. All I'm doing right now is prepping for my BD shoot. I did a Liver Cleanse yesterday for 24 hours and I'm down 8lbs in 7 days so you can tell how serious I am! The shoot is one week from tomorrow so I'm in serious prep mode!

Oh no, no you didn't come off as selfish! It's a difficult situation to be in for sure. I totally knew it was the finance part you were wondering about and maybe the airline could be contacted by someone and she could have vouchers for both of their tickets put under her name if the airline is nice. Good luck!

Congrats and welcome!! This is the best wedding resource you'll ever find! These girls are the best

She and her fiance were booked for our wedding in May. I think it's too soon right now to even bring that up, but the final payments will be due in March. How do I bring the topic up with her? I would totally understand her not wanting to go, and would support her completely in that decision. I just don't even know how to ask. Any suggestions? Oooo ok, this is not the answer you want to hear. Don't bring it up, at all... I know, I know but I would assume she's not coming. Maybe speak to her mother about it and have them bring it up, I can't IMAGINE how devastated this poor girl is and the mere thought of a wedding (especially in the month she was supposed to get married no less) would just be horrifically sad. I say never bring it up, her situation now takes a little bit of precedence unfortunately in every way. Good luck, this is just tough all around girl!

Good luck everyone!!

Thanks ladies! I guess my photog would know best if his house was suitable or not and he's got all his equipment It's funny because when I originally considering doing the shoot I asked him to recommend a photog to do it because he had no pictures or promotion on his site and he told me he does them all the time but they don't go on his website because they are private and I felt better. Alright I'm gonna relax and let it happen, I'm bringing white sheets but that's it I believe. You'd thinking kicking coffee would relax me, I think it's actually making me more crazy

I have a question for you ladies that already had your shoots, where did you do them? I'm supposed to have mine done at my photogs house but now I'm thinking I should get a hotel room. Any suggestions?

Can't wait to see your's too For me, I'm bringing the pearl necklace I'm wearing with my wedding dress (fake would look fine too which you could get really cheap) Simple stud earrings would be fine, nothing fancy. Keeping it simple is probably best. Also I'm getting a hair flower fascinator or feather fascinator which you can get for cheap as well which can make your hair style look different with it in. I'm bringing FI's tie he's wearing for the wedding as well which isn't a necklace more of a prop I guess!

We're also here of course to answer your questions too! As soon as you know the date, let us know and Nicole will add you to our master list.

I am not trying to bring down the (normally!) peppy mood of this board, but this past week has been really difficult. My best friend's fiance (they were getting married in March) was killed in a bad car accident on Christmas day. I have spent the past few days running around town canceling all the different vendors so she won't have to do that. So I guess, I just want to remind everyone--even though wedding planning can get crazy, at the end of the day, just remember that you are marrying the man you love and that is all that really matters. Holy sh*t... this just made my stomach drop. That's so terrible, I don't even know what I would do. You're a good friend, I couldn't imagine also having to do that for someone, too sad.

Vent away, this is why we're here! Myself and MANY other DW brides feel you girl, I have no family coming and even had a "friend" cancel her entire trip because we were supposed to meet for coffee and I was busy twice and couldn't make it. She emailed me the next day saying she cancelled her trip because we weren't that good of friends anyways... so it's as if people use your wedding against you. What has worked the best for me is NOT feeding the flame or arguing my point. When someone gives me BS or complains I tell them, "I totally understand, you don't have to come." That has actually gotten a few people to shut up and turn around and tell me they ARE coming =)
