Katie - thank you!!! You are going to have so much fun at your BD shoot, I know it. Don't forget alcohol if you drink, that really helped make it less serious and more fun. A friend being there really helped too. As for pearls, I brought real and fake ones and ended up wearing the fake ones! So I'd say it was good choice. As for bridal shots, I didn't want to do any of those for some reason. Just personal preferance and I don't really like veils for some reason. So I just took pictures lying on the bed next to the pinup calender I brought and put a red heart around our wedding date.

Sometimes you need to take a break from wedding stuff, focus on everyday life and get that all relaxed and rejuvenated before delving into wedding stuff. I feel so releieved now that my shoot is over, I was stressed over it big time!

I did my BD shoot yesterday! I had a blast and I can't wait to get teasers to show you girls! I just wanted to thank all you ladies for all of your advice, I took it all and it all really helped the day go by smoothly and I didn't feel like I was missing anything at all My shoot was extra long, 4 hours and I'm sore today from it oddly enough, LOL! I'll post pix as soon as I get them!

Thank you girls for all the nice wishes and impatience to hear how it went, love you girls, you're too cute!!! Alright so it was a blast! I had so much fun and DEFINITELY expanded my boundaries quite a bit, when in Rome! So I had my hair and makeup done professionally (my photog said to make sure it was done professionally, makes all the difference) so I followed his advice and I'm happy I did. I don't wear makeup every day but when I do I like to really wear it as you can tell in my picture below I gave my hairdress creative freedom and wanted a smokey bedroom look for my makeup and I hardly recognized myself... in a good way, it was so glamorous! So I brought with me everything I owned that is sexy to have options & 6 pairs of shoes, this was probably the best choice as I really didn't know what I would want to wear once I was there. I brought my best friend and MOH with me which was probably my best decision I made, having someone there that knows me that can look out for me and help me decide on what to wear was SO helpful, I couldn't have done it without her and she drank with me too which was fun! When we arrived at my photogs house he handed MOH and I patron shots and made me open up my suitcase and see everything I had to get an idea of what I was looking at doing and showed me many pictures of ideas he was thinking, totally on the same page so I trust him completely. I laid out all my outfit options, shoes and props so I could pick and choose. I used the pearls a lot, they looked great and were fun to play with. I also used the feather (12' long black feather) I bought a lot, it was so fun and made me feel sexy for some reason. Also I used FI's black tie he used in our engagement shoot, pulling on it whatnot was great. I also used a pin up calender I bought and put a red heart around our wedding date and took pix with that. Having some sort of prop to focus on (unless your a pro model) helped me a lot because honestly it was kinda hard to figure out new sexy poses unless I was standing, lying down poses were harder to get creative with for me. Having music really helped me relax, I would just hum and enjoy the music and my MOH would dance or smile, she made me laugh a lot which was good for some pix as well. Wine was flowing and we just had a good time, as nervous as I was, it left quickly as my photog is really professional and he was very helpful with ideas and moves. My MOH kept telling me to take it off (which I didn't intend on doing) but took some shots top off and took some tasteful shots with nothing on (!!!) never would have thought of doing this but I figured, hey why not, if they look terrible, no one needs to see them. So my shoot was 4 hours long, I was totally exhausted by the end of it but it couldn't have gone any better! Chris is sending me pix soon and I told him specifically to send them soon so I could show you girls Let me know if you have any questions!

Lolo - OMG, wow that is a lot of drama! At least you're doing well, man jail in another country is really not something I ever want to experience! I hope things turn around for everyone! Renee - Thank you! I'm bringing way too much stuff to the shoot... I have 6 pairs of shoes, tons of outfits, pearl necklace, FI's black tie we used in our engagement shoot, maybe a cigar, a feather, a calender and a robe to throw on in between picture changes etc. I'm bringing white linens with me and two friends to help with costume changes and help get my game face on

AmyB - I'm going to be totally honest with you, I absolutely LOVE the new dress, it's gorgeous! I also think the one your have looks wonderful on you as well. You could always be a 2 dress bride and do a TTD in one if you wanted... if you only can keep one, I'd say go with number 2... it's my personal fav and I can't wait to see it on you Katie - Your invites are beautiful! So fairytale I love it! I'm a big fan of not making everything match the color scheme 100% so they are truly beautiful, great job!! Wait... well done you!

LOL! I didn't steal thunder!! I just seemed very jaded... which I am You should totally write a blog! Great writing indeed and a nice outlet for my jadedness!

I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when I was 10 (just changing into secondary school) and suddenly my whole life revolved around food. I had to eat 6 times a day - breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, mid-afternoon, dinner and then supper before I went to bed. I truly believe this is where my problems with food started, but I also know deep down, I should just be able to change them. I'm a REALLY fussy eater, don't like fruit, veg or salad and very rarely can turn down chocolate or sweets. the only thing I can turn down no problems is dessert. I'm rubbish at trying new things as if I don't like the taste of something, it's not going down (as it were lol) so, what do you suggest?! pmsl!! now there's a challenge for you!!! lol You just need to be interested in what your doing/eating and have a set goal that's not TOO far out and an incentive. Those are the keys and postive thinking... actually picturing yourself the way you want to look physically from working out and seeing that in your head every day. Before I start my workout I do a little daydream of how I'm going to look for my BD shoot and how confident I will feeling looking how I desire and it makes me smile and then I get excited to workout. Then I work harder and totally enjoy my workouts. You are totally a challenge! The advantage I have is that my preference of food is veggies and fruit... if I could never eat meat I would do it. I really will eat anything, I'm Italian (not fully obviously) and I've always been like this, love to eat and eat it all. So I suggest you take time finding out what types of healthy foods you like or how to make healthy foods tasty. Like for example you may not like fruit but could you handle an apple with peanut butter on it? I get peanut butter with flax seed in it and boom there you go, healthy snack. Or what about celery? Celery tastes like nothing and I love it with some organic hummus or goat cheese. Do you like protein shakes? What if you got a light choc protein shake and blended up some fruit in there? For example, if I'm craving sweets, I make myself one of the following: Muscle milk light choc protein powder Almond milk (super low cal and delish) Banana flax peanut butter Or you can do: Muscle milk light choc protein powder Almond milk (super low cal and delish) berry medley or blueberries These taste like dessert, like a chocolate shake I'm telling you. My typical healthy shake is Unsweetened plain whey protein Superfood (great supplement for fruits and veggies) almond milk maybe a little coconut juice banana blueberries LOL, sorry ladies I know this is totally :

I'm just paranoid and terrified that I'll look terrible in my photos... fear is driving me, seriously! LOL! I also love a challenge... man I thrive on them and opportunities have arisen and I've taken them on. Over years of failed diets and exercise and working my butt off for 6 months just to put the weight back on in weeks was really miserable for me so I decided, I'll do whatever needs to get done and rely on no one else for support, just me and my thing. None of my friends are into working out or do any of this stuff with me too which is the weird part. A few call me a Cyborg Just know that I've been on a workout kick since 2005 and ONLY in the last year have I finally figured it all out. I have a lot of other reasons too, I hate being sick and I hate doctors. So working out keeps me from being sick. Also, my father died of a heart attack at 52 and his father around the same age and there are diabetes in my family so I'm really big on preventative maintenance so I never have to go to the doctor I'm also big on working with people to get them going on a track that works for them, one of my bridesmaids wants to lose 30lbs so we got her on a program and I'm buying her a seaside massage in Mexico for making her goal. I'd be happy to help any of you if you ever wanted it

This totally made me smile... I think I did a little in person rant (lighthearted) of this similar sense to a girl who had gotten engaged just HOURS before... don't give me tequila. $20 a flower, yep... I went through that. Oh and then, $300 per bridal bouquet and $400 per centerpiece... not including the vases. To rent the vases that's $10 each... what about votives you ask, for tealights? Yep those are $10 a piece as well. I could go on and on

I didn't even tell you ladies about my chemical peel I got on Sunday, first one and my face is totally fine, looks great buuuut she must have gotten some on my ears and under my earrings, I took them off that night because they were stinging and they were all swollen and red and burned! Mannn.. this week I've been beat up, starting with my liver cleanse on Friday. It's also day 9 no coffee or dairy... arrrgh!
