Prices? Etc... This is all so overwhelming at first!!! We're happy to have you and answer any questions you may have Here are some of my favorite things to do that get me MOST excited about my upcoming weddding: Here's Elizabeth Medina's blog and I searched for AS, click on the different weddings to see the pictures: Elizabeth Medina Photography Here's one at Azul from Claudia Rodriguez http://www.claudiaphoto.com/alberto/matt_andrea/ My second favorite thing to do is search planning threads on this forum. There are four AS planning threads I can think of off the top of my head... Tracey KatKen Nicole Milejo These are so helpful with all the details and whatnot. There is a lot to do planning a wedding but these girls keep me sane and grounded and they are your best support system! Katies suggestion was probably the best, reading through this entire forum will really get you up to speed quickly, it's what everyone does first thing when they get here. We also have bi-weekly to-do's and check in with each other which really helps. Just remember to do one thing at a time, doin't do one million things at a time (like I keep trying to do) it just ends up getting very stressful. Good luck, ask us any question you want! Amy

Why are they ALL the same Literally, the SWEETEST most lovable people one second, and the biggest d*&$@ the next!?!?! I really don't know if I'm able to... I regret at least once a week not using a BDW TA. I already tried to switch to another DW TA and they asked me to give him a second chance. I just don't know how I'll be affected with so much done already. I have 3 months left, I keep thinking I might as well ride it out, I already have like 20 something booked with 20 something with quotes and about to book.

Over christmas I said we needed to get them done, and it never happened. Then he promised that he would work on them this weekend and get a good chunk done (I have been working on the already pretty much on my own)....that didn't happen. Last night he said he would do them....he cut 10 pieces of paper and glued them, and some of them he even glued on crooked! He is extremely artsy and probably more capable than I am of making them look nice. I'm so frustrated because I went with his idea for the invites, and he isn't even making much of an effort to do them! Sorry for ranting, but just needed to vent. Aside from that, I have such a stressful job this year and when I come home from school and see that the invites weren't done, I'm not in a good mood! Man don't even get me started on things I've asked my FI to do that he hasn't done yet... like I asked him to get tape, and print something out at Kinkos, not rocket science and are they done? Nope. I'm sorry you're so stressed... I hate that feeling. I too was supposed to have my invites done and sent January 1st and here we are and they are just now designed not even made yet. Not only that but every quote my DW TA has quoted this week has been wrong, like he's on crack, I'm so done with him. Sorry... totally vented!

I wish I had thought about that before. No I'm not doing a specific type of dance I don't think... I just wanted someone to be able to choreograph something that works with the song. My dress is fitted, mermaid so I can't do anything to terribly fancy in it either.
  6. Wow, you are gorgeous!!! These pictures are absolutely stunning! Congrats

I think I am walking down the aisle to Alicia Keys - If I got you. Does anyone know how to burn CDs where you can delete the first amounts of seconds from the songs? I hate the long intros - esp for the recessional song - need to get right to the lyrics. I'm glad you like it!! My friends just aren't fans... I think it's just unique, not over the top and just our style. We could easily dance to it too I think. You have a good point, not much is traditional about this wedding! Awww I love Alicia Keys, I saw her in concert in Vegas once. I remember a thread on BDW that taught you how to do that specifically with iTunes and I know you can download a trial of softwares online that can do that. I'm going to find it...

I have to finally make some actual decisions and give Tiffany some information by next week and looked to get the email of someone that got married there in October and it's vanished. I emailed the administrator yesterday, but have not heard anything. I think Amy is the only Beach Resort person, but I thought maybe you girls might know where it went! Thanks! I was following that thread too and I haven't seen it for awhile now. I don't know how much help we can be but you're more than welcome to hang out with us here!

I really don't think 2 would take away from our wedding and I hate to think that we act like its not special when BOTH days really will be..... He thinks it would be funny to do #1 b/c its next to the Post Office and so lame - they have this screen that they pull down that is cheesy and looks like you are on the beach (no way - totally fake) for pictures. LOL Decisions, decisions. Congrats Amy that's so exciting!!! LOL....OMG, I'm not going to be any help here at all because I would totally do the in front of the fake beach picture and ham it up as much as possible... then go out and have a nice dinner and drinks and laugh hysterically. That picture would be up on my fridge FOREVER

Girl you're doing awesome! Don't stress just keep it up and you'll be 100% ready in no time!
  14. Finleys7 - You invites look amazing! What a great job Lady Di - I was going to do two separate invites to people to RSVP'd that they weren't coming but decided against it. So I'm sending my invites to all the are coming and I'm sending a wedding announcement with a picture of us on our wedding to all those who RSVP'd that they weren't coming. I got a lot of requests for pictures from people unable to make it so I thought that would be perfect.
  15. Katie - Vdaybride is totally right, music was SUCH a huge help, no awkward silence and you just enjoy the music and do your thing. Alcohol really helped make it fun too, I'm so self conscious and being able to have a glass of wine really made me feel almost normal. Bringing my BFF - MOH was the best idea ever, she kept her eye out for things she knew I wouldn't like and made me laugh a lot which in the pictures looks real and genuwine because it was, I was having a blast! I brough a black ostrich feather which was really fun just zoning out to the music and playing with it. FI's tie... it's his favorite black tie and he wore it in our engagement photos and putting it on me made me feel really sexy and confident for whatever reason. You haven't seen any of those pictures with the tie because they were the steamy topless ones The pro makeup and hair I had done... I also had individual fake eyelashes put on and I hardly recognized myself, I loved feeling that glam'd up, really got me in the mood of thinking I was sexy which showed in the pictures. I brought everything with me and more in a suitcase, I was so happy I brought WAY too much stuff, I would have never known what I was feeling that day. It helped spreading everything out and looking at it next to each other, and bring lots of shoe options. I had 5 different outfits and shoes. Figure out your style or poses and talk to your photog first or send pictures, helps stay on the same page. Live in the moment, just do what you feel is sexy and don't doubt yourself, take risks, no one will see the pix you don't like anyways so it doesn't matter. Can't wait for your shoot!

I am just gonna ask that you check out the rooftop terrace at some point and see how windy it is. I think yall are going to have a FABULOUS time!!! Ok, here is what I have gotten done: 1) STD's: done 2) website: pretty much done...will finalize this week. I changed the site to www.lutznlindz.com, so it would be easier to recognize. 3) DRESS!!! I DECIDED on it!!!! YAY!!!!!! sooooo excited! 2 of my bridesmaids went with me and agree that it was THE ONE! 4) Bridesmaids dresses: Decided on hot pink (fuchsia) or grayish/silver, one shoulder, and short and flowy. We have amped up our search! 5) Checked out flights and sent out price update...they have gone down almost $200. Oh!! I wanna hear more about this first dance song and dance! SO sweet of him!! Hahaha, you're totally right, we need swift booty kicks now and then! I will check out whatever you want while I'm there! It's not really my honeymoon. We are taking a trip around Europe next year for our honeymoon Ok you are seriously taking care of business, I need to see your dress ASAP, how exciting!!!! FI suggested we have dance lessons, he's not a big dancer and wanted to be able to dance to our first song well and make it look good. Our song is also way untraditional and not even many people like it but it's appropriate and fits our story and I love the song so I don't care Quote: Originally Posted by thefuturemrslutz ADVICE! However, lately I have been wondering how to deal with the issue of people requesting to stay at a different resort. This sounds like a huge catastrophe in the making. On my website and Save the Dates, I have made it very clear that the rooms are blocked off AT LE BLANC, and it is assumed everyone coming will stay there. However, I am starting to worry about people trying to save money and book elsewhere. Suggestions?!? No, I don't believe they require this. Unfortunately if people want to stay elsewhere they will. That's not a big deal as long as they know they'll have to pay to come onto the property and I'm sure you'll have group events throughout the week for people. Just make them aware that are trying to create a group atmosphere and it's an additional charge for them if they don't stay at your hotel and if they are able to it would be most helpful to you. I doubt you'll have trouble with this. My MOH & a bridesmaid plus about 6 other guests planned to stay at a timeshare 7 miles away (which is close) but still really upset me. After so much pointless planning everyone is staying at the resort which makes me happy, it's just the easiest. Good luck I'm sure everything will be just fine!
  21. Lolo those shoes are fab! I have the cheaper non Louboutin version of them They are incredibly sexy for sure! I brought them to my BD shoot as well but ended up wearing my other Louboutins. How exciting!! That's an AMAZING price, I can't wait to see your pictures
  22. Hi girls, I recently decided that I wanted a different garter altogether than the one I already bought (which I haven't even tried on) and I was going to send different invites to all the family I invited that hasn't said a word since I sent them the save the dates and decided against that too. So my invite set I bought from Michaels and it's a Martha Stewart print yourself set. If any of your are interested, let me know and I'll send you pictures. I just figured I'd offer these to you girls first before I offer it to the rest of BDW
  23. Crista - Sounds like a fun weekend and you did get some stuff done which is good! What's a fantasia party?
