I think your FI is sweet for being old fashioned Awww, that's really sweet!!! Maybe my FI want's time off before the life time commitment I don't blame him! We're going to be in Mexico for 12 days so we plan on spending a good 5 of those days with guests and after the wedding we're moving to another hotel for some us time

Or are yall waiting to see your FI at the wedding and taking joint pics after the ceremony? Do you have a time cut off on your reception? Ours is 11pm at AS so that's why a lot of us are having earlier receptions. My sunset time is 7:15pm which is perfect as the sun will be setting during cocktail hour & a half which is when I'm taking pictures. Despite me and my practicality of wanting to take pictures BEFORE the ceremony as I wasn't originally planning on having a cocktail hour, FI put his foot down and said he ABSOLUTELY wasn't seeing me before the wedding and it was bad luck. We're not even staying together the night before, he said he'll go crash with his BM (who's coming with his fiance so I don't know how she'll feel about that) but who knew he was so old fashioned?

I think I'm the Amy you're referring to I was never given any rules on what time I could and couldn't start and my spreadsheet with Karisma states all these times so no problems there. My coordinator also told me yesterday that any changes to your plans can be made at the resort once you're there. That made me feel a little better.

Has anyone else been told about this? Is anyone doing a cocktail party? If so, how much is costing you per person approximately? I'm having a cocktail reception on the wooden palapas on the beach. It's $10 per person for an hour and a half, open bar & 5 passed hor'derves. 5:30pm - 7:00pm with dinner immediately after. We'll probably go to the disco @ 11pm

I can't remember who said it on here but it did remind me of my FI - I do all the legwork and DIY stuff, and then he looks at it and states all the things he doesn't like about it and what i should do with it to make it better!! it's like he's my boss!! the jobs i've given him to do I have no idea how he's doing with them coz everytime I ask him what's happening with them he tells me 'to chill out and stop hassling him - he's got it all under control'....AARRRGGGGHHHH that makes me panic even more!! haha lol but I do know he's started on his speech and he's taking it really, really seriously so I'll take the rest with a pinch of salt anybody else find that the closer you get to the wedding, the more arguments you have?? we've been bickering over stupid things (both of us) most of this week!! think we're both stressing a bit and I've not slept through the night for the past 2 weeks so i'm tired and probably a bit ratty too. for gods sake...who'd get married?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?! hehe Yeah to be honest, if FI was putting in his 2 cents it would be worse, I'm the bossy controlling outspoken one in the relationship so if he challenged me on any of my ideas it would probably lead to an all out brawl. This past week we have bickered almost every day! I had a talk with him today at lunch (since we work together) and we agreed to have specific days to work on wedding stuff where he can't give me a million excuses of why he can't try on a vest for 30 seconds

  14. OR Amy - You can even do grey converse if you wanted to!! http://lindseyjanies.files.wordpress...6/5457ac-w.jpg http://media.theknot.com/ImageStage/...arge_image.jpg Converse with a suit ok or no? > Clothing http://blog.weddingpaperdivas.com/wp...se-wedding.jpg My BF wore white Converse for her wedding that we relaced with pretty white ribbon and glued white flowers to it, super cute and her husband also wore white Converse, all the groomsmen had black Converse.

I'll also let you know because sometimes during holidays Converse.com gives a 20% off coupon and free shipping so don't worry I'm on it!
  16. OMG, I hope you get better soon! Just try to relax because stress won't help whatever's going on. Just focus on getting better and maybe it will end up not being quite so serious (I hope) and things will all work out. You're in my thoughts and wishes!!

I think they just don't get it and it's not as important to them. I have set time aside to get them done now. All tonight we are working on them and he is not going anywhere till they are done! That's awesome!!! See no need to be stressed, after all of our stories you can probably tell that you actually have it easier than most of us My FI wouldn't have done what yours did, he would have forgot again

We decided on passport invites, I put together examples and designs as our friend who is designing them for us. After a week (yesterday) my FI came back to me with all of these "proposed changes" and thoughts on how it should be done. When I sat down last night to go over this with him... he wanted nothing to do with it and pretty much told me that I was really falling behind with all of this wedding planning stuff and that I've barely done anything! Are you freakin' kidding me? Needless to say I then promptly proceeded to the a pub with friends for a drink last night. I just now finished emailing him a very long email with examples of wordings... I think I have a groomzilla who magically thinks things are just going to get done and it's not very much fun. !!!! I would have smacked my FI upside the head if he told me that... My FI isn't like that, his favorite response is "I don't care." or "what do YOU think"... which I reply, I JUST told you what I thought now it's YOUR turn"... which he replies "I don't really think anything about it" <--- what is that?! Good luck girl, the passport invites I JUST finished the design finalization for was really tough stuff, there is SO much that goes into them, I keep asking myself why do I have an invite that's 6 pages long?! That's too much info!! Hee hee

He hates dress shoes and hates dressing up, i dont know why this bothers me so much. Maybe because this is the one and only time he HAS to do this and he is NOT wearing tennis shoes with his suit, im gonna kill him. Pray for him that he makes it to mexico in 24 days!!!!!!!!!!! lol. LOL!!!!!!!!!!! This is amazing, what is he thinking?! He can't wear althetic sneakers to the wedding!!!! Ok this is what I did for my FI and he loves it so much he actually spoiled the BM's gift.... idiot. I came up with the idea to make his BM custom Converse with his name on the back and everything, FI insisted he get some too because it was so cool and I said ok, these will be your wedding shoes ok? He was like a little girl about this, told his BM immediately and I got so mad at him!! So these are cool, I made everything off white to fit the vintage tone of the wedding and I'm having all the GM's wear Converse as well. Would this work for your FI? I know it's not dressy but I've seen it in weddings and I think it looks so adorable on the boys.

He jumpd off the couch and said "Holy F*CK, why do I have to do everything?" I looked at him like, what are you talking about... you haven't had to do anything! LOL. He was so put out. Oh and he made a huge deal about putting his pants on so that I could pin them, drive them to the cleaners, pick them up for him a few days later and give them to him. Geez, so much work on his end..... idiot lol. P.S he never tried them on after they were hemmed to make sure they were ok... it was "too much work". I'm sending my FI out to stay with you because their twins separated at birth... LOL!!! The sad thing is, I'm sure you know, I'm not even exaggerating... word for word that's how it went down. My favorite is when we start arguing and he says, "I do SO much for the wedding, give me a break!" Then I love going, oh please list out all you've gotten done... he always mentions, I helped with all the gluing of the save the dates!!!! We did this last May... and this is always what he tries to "throw in my face" yet we both equally did them. He's literally done nothing all by himself.

AmyB, I think you should do the backdrop and make it as incredibly cheesy as possible AmyKH, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your BD pics! You look absolutely stunning. After seeing yours, I was motivated to start going to the gym/eating better. My session is at the end of March, so I have some time to get in shape! LOL!! I have to block off an agreed amount of time with FI and literally kibosh the tv and computer and he just finds excuse after excuse!!! Last night for example I asked him to try on his vest to see if he wanted to keep it or not (waiting now for a month) he says "oh I have to go to the bathroom"... ok that's done, now try it on, "I'm hungry, let me eat first"... ok done, go try it on "after my smoke"... fine, now he's laying down on the couch and watching tv... ok so try it on now, "later" <---- this is where I typically snap and rip his head off. What is this process, this is what I go through EVERY time I ask him to do something for me related to the wedding. Thank you so much! You have plenty of time, I waited until about 1 month out to REALLY crack down and get crazy on my diet and exercise. I need to now get back into it because I gave myself a week off after the shoot.

Fi's parents are paying for it like the "Rehearsal Dinner" we would have had if we'd had a traditional wedding. We literally booked this last night. You pay 20% down and then the rest you can mail a check a week before you leave to their address in Rhode Island. Also, we are doing a trip to Selevatica for the zipline tours which is $90 pp including transport from our hotel. Lastly, we are doing a night in Cancun clubbing. The RT vans are like $250 each and carry 12 people. I used Riveria Maya Excursions for this. DJs: What is this about 3500 for the bells and whistles DJ? I saw $1500 for a DJ on the price sheet and thats it, I didn't know there are options for DJs? I was really hoping that $1500 would include the balloons, glow bracelets, and the other props. Wow, this is all information that I needed! I want to do a zip line tour and also know that we planned on renting vans for transportation into Cancun for my bachelorette party Thanks so much for this info!
