We even spoke to him in person, and I told him "you need to book tomorrow, or you won't be able to book at all." That was two weeks ago... Also, our save the dates went out in July with TA info. and our invites were out in October, which had a deadline on when to book (which was extended, but nobody knew that). We are now pleasantly surprised with 37 guests booked...but it was a pain getting there. It's harder for us, as it is all we think about! KittenHeart- how many do you have booked now? Lady Di- Kudos to you for your DIY! I can't see the pics from work, but I know they must have been tough....which is why I didn't do them myself It just stuns me that I got all the people who are currently book to book 1 YEAR ago! The remaining guests I will be lucky if I get them booked by March. I have 20 people booked, 31 RSVP'd left to book. I only have one groomsman booked, BM and 4 other groomsmen not booked, 3 bridesmaids booked, MOH and 2 more bridesmaids not booked.

Wow, I really think I have actually gained some weight. My upper body is super lean and toned, stomach, not as toned, only on the sides, hips HA! not at all and legs not so much. My dress was actually made to my measurements so we'll see if I'm the same when I go pick it up next week! 6. Hi girls! Just thought I'd share my TTD dress I got from China with you girls. It was after the Superbowl on Sunday when these pictures were taken. 3 patron margaritas and 4 vodka shots later was when we got the brilliant idea for my MOH and I to have a photoshoot in my room, complete with a finger running man video, my laptop for music and just plain old stupidness... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ts-here-36700/ So the pix aren't great by any means but you get the jist. I wasn't laced up nicely either but hey, we were seriously jumping around on the bed and I had only one of my Badgley Mischka shoes one

All of my bridal party are booked but FI's 3 guys are not booked. I think that is it for us regarding guests. I don't think any more guests are coming. I know how frustrating it is because you need numbers for your OOT, and other stuff! Maybe you should contact the potential ones (the ones who expressed interest in going) and tell them that the resort is almost sold out. maybe that will push their butts to book! That is what I did. I put in a small note in the invites and stated that the resort is almost sold out and for them to book soon. I also put in "to ensure a dinner plate, please RSVP" something like that. It may be rude but it's for their own good that way they won't be standing around looking like an idiot with no dinner plate! That's a good idea... I figured I'd call them after I sent out the invites to push people. MOST of my wedding party isn't booked and 2 groomsmen may be dropping out. I still have half my guests that haven't booked yet so I'm overly annoyed by the whole process. I'm so trying to be patient!

I love them! You did such a great job with them, it's seriously impressive! Mine arrived on Friday and I'm sending them out this week, I'll post some pix of them soon I see that more people are booking for you too, I'm very happy to hear that! I unfortunately am not having such great luck. I'm hoping that changes very soon.

I'll try and take some better ones and post them for you too That was my own flower, the flower that came with the dress was terrible. Here's the dress it was based on Rosa Clara - Clark Rosa clara clark image by KSTrillian on Photobucket I didn't order the highest quality, just standard quality and it actually surprised me how decent the quality is. It's fully lined and boned as well which I love! The material is comfortable and I'm very happy with the dress. I didn't expect it to be perfect but the stitching and hems are all straight, the craftsmanship is actually quite good. I would definitely recommend Duosheng, I'm thoroughly satisfied with my choice and the length is perfect! They had me re-take measurements quite a few times to make sure they were accurate, I'm very glad they took such good care in doing so
  13. Alright girls... so I took these photos on Sunday after the Superbowl. We had margaritas all day and then my neighbor BBQ'd for us and insisted on doing vodka shots, 4 of them later, the brilliant idea to try on my TTD and dance around in my bedroom happened. So I apologize in advance, I'll take some real pictures to show you better what the dress looks like. This dress is really comfortable, it's not laced up nicely either but it fits great if you can't tell

I haven't even tried this tactic out yet, let me know how the hot outfit bribe goes.

We still have to buy the guy's gifts and pay for the girls hair (but the girls got tote bags, tanks, sandals, and a book too). After calculating gifts from the pre-wedding AHR we're at $3,309 net cost. Not too shabby in my opinion, our goal was definitely to keep it low cost. Um, that's incredible! I too keep a spreadsheet of how much I've spent too, down to the cent. In my case, I went way over budget with a few big ticket items I didn't intend on spending that much on. I am terrible to sticking to budgets.

  21. What an amazing planning thread!!! You were smart with all your purchases and your dress is lovely! Good luck you are going to have an amazing wedding
  22. My resort will set these up for me, I just need to tell them how and where I want it in our meeting once down there and I'm sure inspiration pix don't hurt
  23. Here is the email to my FI with the details on how to make them, I bought all the stuff needed for them from these two links: I found this DIY project that I am pretty excited about. I'm going to make LED "throwies" to put inside chinese paper lanterns. This saves the hassle of dealing with electrical wiring. All you do is make these little throwies, attach then to the inside of your lanterns with clips or string, and then you can hang your lanterns with fishing wire. It can also save a bunch of money because the individual LED lights for lanterns are like $3 each. I just ordered my supplies (LED lights, batteries) I'll report back when I have finished the project. Here is two links that explain everything: LED Throwies If Only I Had Majored In Event Lighting Instead of Biology Weddingbee The Wedding Blog A few hints I've found on the web: --10 mm diffused LED lights are supposed to make a warmer "real light" --3 LED lights per average sized lantern (12-16") works best --you can make an "on/off" switch with a piece of paper (see instructions) --the magnets aren't necessary unless you are planning on attaching them to a metal surface. ---With the on/off switch, they tended to flicker a little because the tape isn't tight enough after "switched" on. If you put a binder clip over them it keeps them tightly together

Its just another thing to take down and well we are really trying to conserve on space. I am going to guess everyone will still like thier OOT bags without a welcome letter. Anyway, I am off work thankfully for the next 2 weeks. I just got my pedi today and am off to run a few last minute errands before I go back home and resume packing. I was reading about having a rehursal for the wedding and it was never offered to me either. Of course I have Tiffany and she is well not great with details. At this point I am not even going to bring it up with her and just talk to the onsite about it. We don't have a large wedding party or anything but to get everyone on the same page would be very good. PS. Its snowing here and the low on Wed. is 8 degrees when we leave. I am so ready for the beach and some sun!! How exciting!!!! OMG, You are going to have the best time ever I think that's smart, just ask the onsite coordinators, who I've heard are much more helpful. Have an AMAZING time!!!!
