  1. Thanks ladies!! Definitely a labor of love, I think I may have went slightly overboard but I love them nontheless

Congrats on getting them mailed out! Thank you! Yes, we really did include a lot of information in them for sure! You may be right, that would be nice not to have to create something else to have to send out, especially since I apparently take my time

Plus, I wanted to send some OOT items to my planner who was so cool to let me use her address vice the hotel...long story. But I did some research and sending it to Italy would cost 200 USD just for the customs fees...so I am sending it all early. Thank you!! I would love to see your pre-travel packages. I wanted to send something out to my guest too but am undecided at the moment.
  4. Karen!!! This is SO adorable!! Totally unique, I love how the tails are hooked around each other, soooo cute

  8. After 7 months of working on these bad boys my invitations were finally completed and dropped in the mail about an hour ago! Thanks to all you creative BDW brides out there who gave me inspiration as I had never even heard of a passport invitation before this forum. I took inspiration from many of you and I always appreciate when all of your share your creativeness with us so I'm excited I get share mine back! The AMAZING BDW forum vendor Ana De Roux (AnaCGarcia) worked tirelessly with me on these for many months and put up with my millions of changes and revisions and ideas; it was a great pleasure to work with her. I HIGHLY recommend her, she’s prompt and talented and I couldn’t have done this without her. I spent time collecting vintage US stamps, for probably the past year now to use on my invitations. I love stamps, especially old ones! I also found an Etsy seller that found years and years of newspapers in her house from the 50’s and 60’s and had her make me envelope liners. She was a dream to work with and even picked out portions of the newspaper that were wedding appropriate, Etsy name ColShelly. My wedding is vintage inspired birds and trees, sage green, black & off white are my colors.
  9. Just have to say after all my whining people are FINALLY starting to book and it's such a relief... now have 30 book including photog and now going to tackle the 23 more RSVP'd =)

To choreograph hes charging $145 and its like $40/per class...roughly 450 dollars...Its a little steep. Wondering if anyone else has ever taken dance lessons. Love it!! This is what song I wanted as our first dance song but FI kiboshed that... I think it's such a beautiful song

  14. pvbeachbride10 - How cute!! I love the short dress and the long one is beautiful! Can't wait to see the pictures of your Landy dress

You all are so supportive and that is awesome so i'm excited to share this journey with you all. Congrats and welcome Leslie! Happy to have you I agree, that for me was the absolute hardest decsion. Believe it or not it starts out hardest and just keeps getting easier and easier as you get more experience and advice from all the girls here. It's so nice to have a support system that we lean on and look to for help, I'd be a total mess without these girls! You should be seeing pictures in a few weeks from two of our girls Andrea & Amy Morales that are getting married this Saturday down there. Let us know if you have any questions

I saw a deal listed for 20% Azul Beach for my dates on the Travel Impressions website - she said thats only for new bookings. I was told if the prices go down, we can get a price match. Well - now we cant I guess? She is just a horrible group TA. So, Amy F helped me (thank you Amy!!!!!!) - other travel agents or online companies like Expedia have access to rooms still. Its just Karisma Reservations and my specific tour operator who have their rooms sold out. So people can still get rooms, just for more money. Also, this is good for everyone else here to know - room blocks must be used or released 90 days in advance before the event. So by the end of February, there should be more rooms released. Just horrible decision I made using my Travel Agent - that is what this all works out to be. I am about to call her and describe my "disappointment" in her services. I just have to get my bullet points ready so I can scare her into getting her act together. You're welcome!! I know I'd be freaking out too but I'm glad you at least have other options. I can related on the bad TA situation, I'm SO happy I switched up mine at the last second. It was the best decision I have made so far. Good Luck Amy, I know everything will work out!

  18. Thank you Nicole & Mischaka!!! Lindz - Yes, they just knock off the designer dresses and come close to what they look like. You can even opt for a higher quality fabric as an option if you like (I didn't). My dress was $280 for standard quality fabric. I gave them all my measurements and they made the dress to my size. There are tons of websites that do this, some websites you can even send them pictures of a dress you want replicated and they can do it. The only downside is not knowing how it will come out or how it will look on you. A lot of us girls get the cheap 2nd dress to trash like I'm doing.

KittenHeart, i guess we all know by now that most of people are procrastinators! I hope you have better luck next month! I just had my invites done by Ana DeRoux (AnaGarcia) and they are amazing! She and I worked for months together and they are perfect, I love them so much. I am about to send them out and I will post a thread on them to show you all Yes, that is very true!!! Thank you
  20. Katie you're totally right. I can't explain my weight loss or gain, only I know about it I guess, LOL!! The true test is when I try on my dress for the first time. I was at my most P90X in shape I've ever been and that was over 6 months ago! That will be the true test since they made the dress for me from those measurements. Thinkinging back, I really wish they had told me what they were so I could make sure to be that same size when I come back.

They are picking us up in 2 vans, driving to the launch spot, a 4 hour cruise with snorkeling, open bar, sodas, and snacks for 33 people and it is approx $2,100. There have been only good reviews so far on them. I am also using Susan Vincil from CancunAndRivieraMaya.com to organize a Cancun clubbing trip (2 vans to Cancun with a midnight and 2 am return to hotel) for under $400 transport. I am using them to book an excursion to do zip lining, snorkeling in cenotes, lunch, and Tulum ruins as well. Again, they pick us up in 2 vans, take up zip lining and snorkeling, lunch, then the ruins, then back to the hotel. That is $93 per person plus the vans at $200 ish. From her: Extreme Adventure (Cancun and Riviera Maya - Selvatica Canopy Extreme Adventure Tour), or the Cenote, Zip line, Ruins tour (Cenote Adventure & Ruins Private Tour). The Zipline Extreme is $90 per person, plus the cost of transportation ($178 total for 2 vans), and the Cenote/Zip line/Ruins tour is $93 per person, plus the cost of transportation. FI's parents are paying for the catamaran and FI and I are paying for the other 2. We were not going to, but then we changed to a regular room instead of the suite and the free wedding package - so we are using that money to pay for the excursions. I think it will be easier that way than collecting money as you have to pay a % now on a CC and then the rest in cash when you get there. I would collect the cash now if we were doing it that way to avoid the headaches (and surprises) later. I also looked at gettign Mayan massages in Puerto Morelos but I dont think we'll have time. I found a cool little place in Trip Advisor - things to do in Puerto Morelos Ok, your guests are going to have the BEST time ever!! Can I come to your wedding? LOL! I wish I had time to do all these things. I know I am going to have my bachelorette party in Cancun one night. That's about it!
