AmyKH, I LOVED your invites! They are absolutely gorgeous, and your guests are totally going to appreciate the hard work and dedication you have put into them. I love the idea about the cake--that was really important to my FI, so we will be doing a Tier 1 cake. Do you know what kind of decorations we are allowed to use? Oh, and a funny side note--my 21st birthday was 7-7-7. I kept telling my FI (boyfriend at the time) that it meant I was a goddess Amanda, welcome to the thread! Best of luck planning! Man, you guys are making me want to do Insanity! I'ts hard for me to guage this sort of stuff because I don't typically lose weight anymore and P90X makes me gain weight due to the muscle building. Thank you so much! Everyone received my invites yesterday and I got a lot of compliments from friends and my mother said the Frank Sinatra lyrics made her cry... they were for my dad, it was his favorite song and he used to Karoke it as a kid. So glad those are done and out! For the cake you can use whatever you want, I'm bringing in real touch orchids and ribbon to wrap around each layer. If you want to buy real flowers you have to sign some sort of waiver. That is SO awesome!!! So you're a Cancer then? My birthday is 7/4 (which is Lindz's two fav numbers) Her and Katie are Cancer's too! It's funny how we all have such interesting similarities

Lolo that's awesome!!! I stopped Insanity mid-month 2 because I wasn't seeing super quick results. P90X gives me results in weeks so I started that up again. I still want to finish Insanity though, I'm sure if I saw it through it would do something for me.

You can then click something that says "get prices" or "book rooms." It will pull up like 10 booking sites. Like I said, this CAN be risky but I would give it a shot. I agree with Lindz, I'd try that OR I'd start contacting other travel agencies, you never know what you'll hear from them. Good luck girl! Don't give up just yet

Ambiance I guess Shut up! My BF/MOH's number is 4

I'm going to ship them ahead of time along with our programs/itinerary, so that guests get them as they check in! You're welcome! I'm glad you like them They are good quality and I thought it was a brilliant idea when it came to me months and months ago. I had the hardest time finding them cheap too. Don't you love that when things just work out that you never thought of? That's the best!

Cake for some reason is always my favorite thing (even though I don't like to eat it) I always like to get creative with it and I love the look of it. I know, waste of money but I just love cakes. I am getting a 3 tier hazelnut cake with fresh strawberries sliced in the center. Decorated like a tree and I'm bringing real touch green orchids to decorate it.

I might just advertise the packing list I'll put together on my website but that's about it.

  15. I got dry erase door with a dry erase marker that sticks on the side so my guests can leave each other notes or funny sayings. It's definitely thing I can see my guests having way too much fun with. Maybe I'll create a list of code words to write on their door hangers to tell where they are but doesn't give away the fact the fact they are out of the room.

I am so sorry to hear about your trouble Amy.I hope you get it sorted soon. So TA's are crap. Mine was good but a bit laid back for my taste. I drove her nuts i'm sure. But it all got done. I need help on a signature drink girls.......I want something not too sweet and easy to drink. Maybe blue.... 13 days!!! How exciting Is Insanity treating you right? I'm back full time on P90X Blue drink and not too sweet don't typically go hand in hand. Blue Curacao is probably what you'll want to use. I suggest finding a drink recipe and making it yourself and then adjust the amount of sweetness yourself and forward on the recipe, that's what I did for both my ceremony welcome drink and signature reception drink.

We had a crazy mojito party last night that included us dancing on my MOH's coffee table to Journey singing our lungs out.

  19. This weekend was so much fun. Friday hung out with friends, saw a bunch of people I haven't seen in awhile. OH AND my photog is bringing another photog with him so we'll have two instead of one shooting tons of pictures for the time we're down there, I'm STOKED! Saturday morning finished my invites and got them out in the mail, people should receive them this week, except for the people in Australia and Shanghai of course I had another person book and my MOH's mom (my second mom) tell me that she is going to make it which made my night since my own mother isn't coming, I told her she can be my mom and she is very happy to do so. I'm so overwhelmed with the love and caring people have shown me, my other MOH's dad offered to fly down there just for my wedding and surprise me there to walk me down the aisle and fly back right after the wedding (very busy guy) but it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. My aunt told me she bought me two sets of real pearls from Shanghai, one white, one black. She received pearls from my Uncle the night before her wedding and thought she would do the same for me. My mom also gave me a set of real pearls, over 80 years old that were passed down to her. I'm rolling in pearls now! LOL! Sunday, FI woke me up at 8am to give me a white gold locket on a necklace with a diamond in it and his face from one of our engagement photos inside. It's the sweetest thing ever. That night we had a mojito party where pretty much the entire time was spent talking about my wedding (not instigated by me in the slightest) and everyone is brimming with excitement, makes me feel amazing. Had a little drunken bonding moment with the BM, we're very alike so we butt heads a lot. A few mojitos and some real talk did the trick. Now today I'm recovering and trying to get my head clear so I can buckle down on wedding stuff.

You could order from Duosheng and I think there is a rush option but it's more expensive. I agree with Amy and Lindz, Nordstroms & Bloomingdales are really good options. I'm an annoying perfectionist though so it shouldn't take as long as it took me. Quote: Originally Posted by ~Crista-Lee~ We also hit a Michael's looking for idea's for centre pieces. LOL The only way I figured out what to do with my centerpieces was searching online places like The Knot or WeddingChannel.com in my color ideas and work off that for inspiration. LOL Tiara's & Tattoo's! Sounds like a reality show I should get my tat's touched up, I'd do them all at the same time which is probably not a good idea. I looked all over. I was at the point where I wasn't going to be picky at all....as long as they were ivory, or white satin so I could dye them, I would be fine with them. I found one pair of shoes, size 5 that fit but they were $670! I think they were Jimmy Choos (sp?). Finally got told to go to Celebrations in Toronto and they actually had a couple pairs that fit! I will take a photo of them and post a picture. They are ivory and have a huge heel (I never wear heels cuz I have a bad back and can't usually find heels to fit) but I talked to a shoe maker and he said he can probably reduce the heel, so I might do that. They were $250, so a little expensive, but I dont think I could have found anything cheaper that would have fit. I'm so relieved I finally found some!! Thank you!!! Definitely a huge relief OMG girl you must be TINY! I have giant clown feet, LOL. How tall are you?

I'm so happy for you Thanks hun!! That's such a sweet compliment

Then I was recommended to get an oxygen facial that is supposed to make you skin glowy and gorgeous. I can't say enough about chemical peels, my skin looks amazing and I haven't been breaking out really at all. I get them on Sunday and by Monday my face is fine, no redness. I peel very slightly, nothing bad but it's different for everyone I guess.
  23. Happy Wedding Day!!! Can't wait to hear all about and see all your wonderful details in pictures
