Lol. i def like the idea of their wedding photos! Awww, yeah I am the same way with my dad. He passed away about 10 years ago but I told my MOH to leave him OUT of her speech and out of our ceremony and not to mention him or my mother not being at my wedding because I'll just totally crumple. So I definitely understand the pictures making him sad. My grandpa is 90 and still drives!!
  2. I actually am not worried about all these changes... that may sound cocky but I really think we can all get our way. That would be SERIOUSLY foolish for them to change policy willy-nilly after offering us options and then take them away. They'd go out of business in a year. I emailed my WC just in case to ensure that the food and prices for what I've already chosen remain. I hope I'm not wrong but I think we should all relax just a little bit because stressing for the next 1-2 months over our weddings aren't going to make things any better. I'm so certain that everything will work out, just bring evidence with you of emails and what was agreed upon down with you to the onsite coordinators and nicely demand they be adhered to.

I went up and visited them a few weeks ago and actually was able to get wedding photos of them and my great grandparents and my own parents. So I'm framing these and setting them up at the guestbook table. There is also a nod if you will to them in my ceremony, not specifically them but to those who can't make it.

We added it up and in total our party is paying over $24,000 just for the rooms. We will have almost 15% of the rooms at the resort while we're there. We helped get them to capacity, and now that they're operating at full capacity, we get screwed. There are not enough censors for what I'm feeling toward them!! That's ridiculous! That still doesn't make sense. I'd fight it still... did you talk to Fabio? Like Amy said, I think you should not count ANYTHING out until you talk to the onsite coordinators... they are the ones that are going to bend over backward for you.

I guess it doesn't matter because so far from what I have seen and researched I love the look of both AB and AS. But just don't want to think that my TA (who I happen to like) has "gotten one over on me" I guess that is just me being paranoid/silly though b/c if I am happy with my decision to check them out then I shouldn't care how or why I chose them. ok enough rambling sorry.... Hmm that's weird... my TA from DW.com gave me a bunch of other options and didn't seem too gungho on AS. He was suggestions Secrets and all those other places first.... although, AS wasn't even open when I was looking into it... jeez I've been doing this for too long.

You're getting married how exciting, oh next year that will be so much fun!" to... "OMG, your wedding is in 2 months! You must be freaking out!" YEAH, shhhh don't remind me please! LOL

Oh I am not alone, thank god! lol Will you do another?! ever? No he didn't tell me! Someone here on BDW pointed it out to me! Shocking but it's ok, you can't really tell it's me, I showed someone last night and they said, "that's YOU?! Really?" So that's good at least. Everything is covered up but I'm only wearing thigh highs and shoes in the picture so... you're right he definitely should have at LEAST given me a heads up. I actually think I will do another one! I don't know when or for what occaison but I want to see other poses etc. =)

I have asked her flat out three times. Her latest response was "There will be time for your set up to be done on the Sky Deck. The on site team is prepared for situations like this." Umm...that still doesn't directly answer my question but I'll assume that it means that the other wedding will also take place on the Sky Deck. Assuming that they'll be up there for an hour, that really leaves very little time to break down that party's decorations and put mine up. Very, very annoying. Uggh, I guess I'm just hitting a stroke of bad luck or am in a particualry foul mood today. My TA (I'm using Camille at Destination Weddings) hasd been very short with my guests when they call, or is taking 5 days to return their calls and emails. Also, for those that want to book directly through her she is cutting them off and telling them to go to the DW site. How annoying! I want my guests to feel taken care ofand considering that a large number of my guests rarely travel this is a big expense and hassle for some of them. I think that the least that she should do is answer their questions and help them with the booking process. I mean, that's her job right? I sent her an email last night to say all of this and, surprise, I still haven't heard back. Someone please tell me I'm crazy and I'll chill out. Otherwise, I think I might ask to switch both my WC and TA. Does anyone know who to call about Tiffany at Karisma? Anyone have a TA at Destination Weddings that they like working with? Ahh...sorry for the rant. I guess it is just one of those days. Thanks everyone! I think it's Fabio? who is her manager. He probably contacted you at one point. I use DW.com and let me tell you... if you are not happy now SWITCH TA's immediately. I have been engaged for over 2years now and got my TA David Victor about 18 months out, I waited until January of this year at my wits end to finally switch TA's (within the same company since I have a group contract with them) and my new TA is FABULOUS! David was in NJ so he never was available via phone due to the time difference, he was scatterbrained, mistakes, misspelled stuff, horrible. He made my life a living hell and I don't know why I put up with it as long as I did, I think I wasn't sure if it would be a seemless transition but it was more than that. My new TA fixed all his mistakes, she's the sweetest thing in the world, in my same time zone etc. You should contact your TA's manager, it states their contact info on your DW.com page and request a new TA. When I spoke to my old TA's manager, I was very nice to her and let her know that I needed someone that would help me and that I had a very bad view of their company and I know that there is someone more organized that can help, I got my wish. So don't wait, if she is terrible now, it won't get any better I promise. Switching TA's was a snap so don't stress it. BTW - Things will calm down, it goes in waves but most of the time you see that wedding stuff just over stresses you for some reason This is why we are all here, to listen to vents and give advice! You could just cover the rhinestone in plastic wrap or something just to make sure it doesn't tint it. A shoe clip is an adornment that you can have made that literally clips onto the front of your shoe. I have an ivory peeptoe slingback shoe, just plain and I'm having a feather with rhinestone clip made that I put on the top of the shoe right above the peep! I found some super pricey shoes that I'm having them modeled after. (my wedding shoes were purchased for me by my wedding dress designer so they mean a lot but they are kinda plain).

  19. Finally last night after forever it feels like I finally know my guest count for sures. I have about 5 people who may just show up at the last moment which freaks me out because I won't have OOT bags, escort/place cards, bouquet for one of them etc. It's amazing that I've been engaged 2-years now and just finally know. Sorry, it's a big moment for me, finally knowing who's actually coming to my wedding LOL

Thanks You just need a a small dry erase board, portable but big enough to write a message on with a dry erase marker and it be legible. Then you have a camera, poloroid or someone taking pictures of people and their messages to you and your husband. Wow, back to back wedding celebrations! Impressive
