Any suggestions? Me too! I'm a major planner and I don't procrastinate, I like having things done early as well. I've been engaged for over 2 years... I just decided to do a TON of DIY stuff and I have a hard time deciding on something. I took me like 8 months to find a freaking veil!! Ugh... I need to be more decisive... I think

Happy to do so Amy! I wish I could delegate... since I'm such a control freak I do everything. I have all my girls and random friends begging me to let them help me and they are all so excited to do stuff for me and craft things. I have major issues, I want everything to be a surprise to everyone so I don't let anyone help me. Seriously, FI will be surprised by stuff on our wedding day. I really irritate myself... Meghan... I love how your wedding is still 4 months out and you're further along that most of us I'm envious, I wish everything was done!

Thanks AmyB My theme is vintage inspired birds and trees. Classic black and white wedding with sage green and fuschia is in the flowers only for a little extra color. Lots of candles, white lights and lanterns. Very clean and simple. My theme was building this whole time and it wasn't until about 3 months ago I finally realized it We wrote our ceremony this weekend too! Ugh, so glad to be mostly done with that.

Like I told my hubby to be - everyone has known about this wedding for over a year and if they really wanted to go they would have saved. So it must not have been that important to them. Similar stuff happened to me and has happened to many of us on this forum. Just know that people tend not to be planners and on top of things. This whole planning process for me has taught me a lot about people, good and bad since we've been engaged for 2 years and people haven known about this for about a year and a half or more. People procrastinate and can't think with planning for something in advance... I wouldn't take it too personally, just know your wedding will be amazing and you won't even notice anyones gone the day of.

Using a local, DJ Mannia that has gotten amazing reviews from all the BDW brides on this forum. I haven't heard a negative review on him at all and they are very easy to work with and quick to respond to my emails. They are English speaking and will do all the announcing. One of the many reasons I decided to do a DW was to keep the $$$ down. So now that I've plugged in everything I want (and that's without official quotes from Lamas or AS) I'm way over budget. Trying to get my costs down. So hoping I can subtract the $9 per chair over 12 chairs that I've worked into my budget. Thanks! I'm doing the Sky Deck and I just checked my spreadsheet and it says "Chairs included for 50 people" and they are white chairs that come with chair covers and white chair bows. Watch out for hidden charges, they are everywhere as we can all tell you we've each encountered something that surprised us so I'd leave a little monetary cushion for just in case

Haha, it's so funny we're all having crazy dreams! This wedding stuff must be really getting ingrained in us -
I too am doing it very simple. No chair covers, no chair bows. Just the dark brown chairs with off white pads. White flowers and white fabric on the chuppah, wood aisle runner. We're all wearing black, white & dark grey with the green, light yellow and fuschia orchids in the bouts & bouquets. Centerpieces smaller stem orchids submerged in water, green, white and fuschia on each table in different sized glasses with a floating candle on the top. I'm not a super colorful person, so picking colors was hard for me!

May 2010 Brides!
KittenHeart replied to lil_miss_frogg's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I had a dream that my wedding was all of a sudden in this giant house in LA. There were over 200 people there but all my accommodations were set up for 40 since that's the number coming to my Mexico wedding. I couldn't find my real dress so I ended up wearing my TTD dress which didn't fit and was falling off. I forgot my veil and my garter and my shoes. About to walk down the aisle I start crying because I didn't finish the ceremony or write my vows so the officiant had nothing to read. I ran down the aisle in this extremely crowed room in tears holding up my dress falling off of me telling FI we can't get married without vows... I found my mom watching tv upstairs with a friend while this whole thing went down and woke this this morning to LOUD thunder. Ugh! -
