I fell in love with another garter which is actually flat on my leg because I have a form fitting silk dress too. Then my mother gave me a handkerchief that was my grandmothers, her name is Antoinette so it's got a light blue "A" hand embroidered on it. Then I just got my shoes and I look at them and they have light blue bottoms on them and I didn't even notice it when I first tried them on. The only thing I don't have is something borrowed... hmmm

Like I feel good offering insurance advice to my friends & family (not as cool as pix obviously) b/c thats what I do for work... Aww Amy!! I would be MORE than happy to grab drinks and chat with you in Bermuda... if I was a millionaire, we'd all be meeting Amy in Bermuda for a little bride weekend

I wasn't planning to send the formal invite out until May. Am I waiting too long? I must do everything backwards because I bought my dress before everything else. I went to a sample store just for fun and they had my dream dress for 70% off and it only needs minor alterations. I had to take it. So far I've been trying to get my theme together but so much is dependant on budget. And the more responses I get from Tiffany my WC, the less I think I can afford. Sigh. So I start from the drawing board again. I do know that I want the wedding to have a vintage romance feel. I found a great lace aisle runner at save-on-crafts.com that I am thinking about getting. I was thinking of hanging antique picture frames from the wood beams over the Sky Deck. Thinking about doing the decorations for the Sky Deck myself as well. I found baby's breath that's been died deep purple and some other that looks shiney gold/silver. Thinking about getting antique planter and filling with the dyed flowers, placing them every other row. Haven't decided on brides maids dresses yet. I would really love to find something on sale at anthropologie or a place like that.(Again, think vintage romance.) But I haven't seen anything I liked yet. Oh boy. I think that I am in trouble. Not even sure what to do next. Guess I should google a wedding planning timeline and hop to it. Don't feel behind! A few of us are weeks or just 2 months away. Sending out your invites in May is plenty of times! I too bought my dress first, it took 8 months to make so I'm glad I did! I too am having a vintage inspired theme. I love the pictures idea on the Sky Deck! Anthropologie is my Kryptonite... I went to the one in NY in Rockefeller center and seriously wracked up my my credit card bill! Good luck, it will come to you, just keep looking and you'll know when it happens

And I stepped on the scale this morning and am down a total of 14.2 pounds - which makes my goal 10.8 pounds away! That is so motivating!!! Lolo should definitely be back soon! I can't wait to hear and see everything Giiiiirrrrrrll!!! 14.2lbs is a HUGE accomplishment, you're going to have to keep taking your dress in at this rate, you should be so so proud of yourself! I leave in less than 7 weeks, ahhh!!!

I really don't think we need dance lessons but my mostly uninvolved FI said he wanted them so I might as well take advantage of it so he feels comfortable. Our song that we love is quite bitter/jaded with a sweet ending but fits us so well. We keep flipping back and forth between the more PC song or the one we love. Good luck picking your song!

My nephew is one of the few men I could count on .... Thank you all for the kind words.... Awww oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that! Well at least the dependable one is coming and it will be nice having your nephew there. I just keep telling myself that I knew what I was getting into with a DW but I didn't imagine it would be THIS hard. Just focus on who IS going and know that you will still have an amazing time

I try to stay positive all the time, I definitely don't acheive that 5 WEEKS! OMG! How exciting you are so close! I think you're our next bride to get married at an Azul resort!
  10. Finley - we're doing something choreographed to our song. We still can't decide between two songs so I'm bringing them both and letting our dance teacher decide
  11. That's fabulous news!! I was just gonna lie and say zero since I'm not selling anything. Now I'm happy to know it's not a lie
  12. Hi girls! I just wanted to thank any of you that voted for me for B2B Member of the Month I don't know specifically who did but I just wanted to anyone who did! I am close!
  13. JT3 - Wow, that's terrible! I'm not too close with my own brother, he's 6 years younger than me but totally just butt heads. I love him and I offered to buy trips for my only immediate family I have, my mom and my brother and my mom doesn't even want to go and the only comment my brother has even made about my wedding was to tell me how selfish I was having a wedding where my mother could not attend. To be blunt, screw them, they can stay home. It took me a lot of tears to realize I'd rather not pay out for to have them there when they obviously do not care to be there and take the hit to my ego when everyone else found out no parents will be attending (father's passed away) so trust me, I know how you feel! I still would rather have them there than not but at this point, that's not an option. Good luck with everything, I really hope it smooths out with you, family drama is the worst. Di -you've got a good point... puppies are expensive with their shots and vet bills and whatnot. I still can't wait to get one
  14. I have so much to do... my list keeps growing! I am starting dance lessons for our first dance this Sunday (FI requested dance lessons... for him, he doesn't know how to slow dance, we've tried it and he just sways like he's at a junior high dance) I still have to figure out the escort cards/table cards, make reserved seating sign, tags for OOT bags, buy more OOT bag items, figure out where GM's are renting outfits from, buy floating candles for centerpieces once I get them to tell me vase sizes, make hangover kit sticker, print out all signage and frame it, buy TTD FI's outfit, complete must play/do not play song list for DJ... I really could go on and on.

Lol. Do not make a life change before getting married (i.e. new puppy). That will drain your savings! Lol. I know what you mean... everything has to be done NOW. Everytime FI says, "I'll do it later" or "not now" I'm like... we don't have that much time to be putting stuff off!! Awww but new puppies are SO much fun!! What kind of dog did you get? I can only have fish is my apartment, but I have like 40 fish, they keep multiplying! One of our pregnant fish had babies last night... yes I said one of them because there 2 more pregnant fish in there still.
  16. Thank you girls! What a RELIEF!!! OH I already had a celebratory glass LOL before my workout too Wendy - My photog gave us a free engagement session too as well as a free TTD. He is super awesome to work with! Christa - HAHA! That's so the opposite of my FI it's funny! Man I sent out my STD's one year in advance and did a lot of nudging and personal emails etc. to get everyone RSVP'd by the end of last year. For local weddings, 2 months in advance is normal. For me, I wanted to send mine out January 8th, 4 months out but I got them out beginning of February and that was pretty much just a formality since most had booked and everyone had RSVP'd.

Is that even possible? Amy, help!) 10) Crack down on my diet/workout. This traveling is killing me!!!!!!!! Added to the list!! Girl you need to order your dress ASAP That takes awhile sometimes so just relax, pick a day and start knocking stuff off this list. Quick question, you want to have people book by April 15th? That's the tax day due date, so maybe change it to April 20th just so it's not associated with something negative You absolutely can get in tip top shape in 2 months. Just make yourself a workout program and diet and STICK TO IT! You are already in FAB shape my dear, much better than me so I wouldn't worry too much. You'll be fine girl, you just need to set aside the best days possible to work on wedding stuff, that's what FI and I do and we don't stop until something is completed!
  18. OMG!!!! My photog contacted the software company to see if they could recover my comments and he just wrote me and he got all my changes back!!!! WAAAHOOOO!!! Oh I'm such a lucky kid... thank you all for the support! I was seriously down for a bit!

Youall are very inspiring though. PS, here I am posting at work again. Ahh. What I wouldnt give for one Saturday all to myself. Sure! I used Chris Schmitt Photography, he's a BDW vendor. Here's the link to his blog, that's one of my BD photos to give you an idea What to give the guy who has everything? A Budoir Photoshoot | Chris Schmitt Photography Blog When you contact him, let him know that Amy Fitch sent you and you are my BDW friend, he knows me, I bug him all the time He ended up doing this shoot for me for free, I'm just paying for the book. He did our engagement photos as well and is traveling to Mexico for no charge, he's great to work with and I highly recommend him. Here are some of our engagement photos: Union Station Engagement Pictures | Chris Schmitt Photography Blog Yeah sure! When I returned I'll do an inventory of what I have left over and let you know, we could grab coffee (or a drink) and you can ask me 1,000 questions if you want Ah yes, taking the full day to knock out some wedding stuff does feel great! That's cool you're a publicist, I imagine you must be very busy all the time!

I ended up topless with my arm covering myself and then.... no covering. Then ended up with just heels and thigh highs on at one point so yes you do get comfortable, with the help of booze of course
