Gotta love the crazy Saturday nights, I had a great weekend as well, Sunday was a little rough getting out of bed and having to go to our first dance lesson... but once we were done and I realized we were exactly 5 miles from the beach, I hit PCH and we drove for awhile and then grabbed some seafood on the ocean, that was amazing the weather over the weekend was GORGEOUS. Pashminas weren't in my plan either but I bought some and love them! Our vows are the same for eachother - the introduction the minister does before the vows is slightly different. I started with the ceremony Tiffany gave me & changed pretty much the whole thing - LOL. We are having "The Art of Marriage" by Wilfred A Peterson read by FI's Mom too. LOVE it. And doing the "Hand Ceremony". Seriously, I guess brides used to go to the library to find all this stuff? How much easier we have it with GOOGLE!!! We too are doing the hand ceremony, I love it! For real, how did people write vows before Google, straight from the heart LOL! Quote: Originally Posted by amybermuda Sammy, I am using 2 sheets - so its a lot of money! I am going for more of a rustic theme/look for the ceremony, hence the simple, all white decor. You found your theme!!! I love it!! Are you putting the 2 vases at the bottom of the chuppah? I totally see this theme coming together Sorry for being an MQ whore, trying to catch up with you girls!

Same here, I had a bridesmaid that booked her and her husbands tickets for a grand total of $600 from NY to Cancun back during a major price drop. She had to cancel her ticket because she booked them for the wrong dates and forgot to re-book. Now her direct flights for the 2 of them are around $1,400... and now it's questionable if she'll even make it due to waiting. -

I have to turn in my final count a month ahead of time and pay for everything so it sucks for the 5 or so people that will know last minute. With the rate to fly out there now I'm not so hopefully... it's so expensive I can't even believe it! -

Happy Monday Girls! I'm exhaused... my 5am wakeup for work every day just got signifcantly harder this morning. FI and I had our first dance lesson yesterday. He wanted it and then was seriously dreading it yesterday. When we left after our hour long lesson, he said, "why was I dreading that, it was SO much fun!" still shocked he had fun... we've never danced together so it was a giant relief to find out that we actually CAN dance together and quite well too, we picked up on it really fast. On the contrary to the Northeast, Cali was extra gorgeous this weekend... oh so beautiful. After our dance lesson, I realized we were approximately 5 miles from the ocean so took a drive down PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) and had seafood on the beach. We went hiking the day before as well, the weather is to die for right now. Shannon, I LOVE NY, so I'm sorry to hear about the storm. I hope weather is clearing up for you this weekend. I still need to figure out what the groomsmen are wearing so I'm WAAAY behind. All I have is their ties, LOL =) Hope everyone had a nice weekend and that NO ONE is as exhausted as me! -

She did my BD shoot hair which I LOVED and that hair stayed for 3 days, loved it. I was wondering if there was a site that people were ordering them from? Also, lomas increased their price for the fabric that they use to decorate the gazebo, the price doubled! I refused to pay 150 dollars for one piece of rented fabric! What are you girls doing for ceremony decor? I bought real touch flowers, I am about to get my final proof pictures any day now and I'll put up some pictures once I get them. http://www.sharonnagassardesigns.com/ is where I got mine from. This morning, waking up at what now is 4am, after tossing and turning all night, wedding nightmares and general bad sleep, I look like a zombie. Some people are bringing their own fabric, however, be careful with this, because they charge you a set up fee which is around $100 dollars. They will not let you set anything up yourself, so if you bring fabric you need to give it to them and pay them to set it up. I too am buying 2 pieces of fabric and got quoted $50 each or $65 or something I think, white is cheaper I believe.

I too love the products I bought, I've been using my new BB makeup almost every time I wear makeup and I can't believe how flawless I love when I use it. One of my bridesmaids owns a salon/spa and does hair and makeup but unfortunately she did my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot and I hated my makeup and she's not my normal hair stylist. She did my MOH's hair at her wedding and it kept falling out so I got nervous. I'm doing my own makeup, I do a pretty good job with it but I know it won't be as good as a professional but at LEAST I won't look different day of because of my makeup which is what I was worried about.

They are like 1/4 of the size of FI's - who has beautiful big eyes. Yeah that expensive... for me at least. I don't wear makeup at all during the week, I mean not even face powder, I'm such a slacker and I love the feeling of my bare skin against the wind, even though, I'm sure I'm the only one that appreciates this. I use organic Korres powder which is good but will not withstand the humidity. I told the chick, I need to withstand, wind (LOL, I just wrote wine by mistake) humidity, sweat and tears. So she gave me some heavy duty sh*t. I ended up getting mositurzer, eye cream, corrector, concealor and the setting powder, the all over setting powder, blush, waterproof eye liner in the pot with the specific eyeliner brush and waterproof mascara.... 3 eyeshadows and I think that's it... sooooo yeah I DID buy a lot. I'm used to MAC makeup too, Bobbi Brown in comparison is $20 per eyeshadow and their brushes are PRICEY! I was warned about this before I went but I really love makeup and products and yet I only wear it on the weekend. I'm really into good face cream though and their face cream super rocks! Can I say Happy Friday to you all?!

I basically picked out the eyeshadow colors I liked best and described my look to her as a smokey eye. I love the smokey eye look and it really works with my brown eyes. I have slanty annoying eyes and I always want them to look bigger so that's what I told her. My vintage style is more old style glam so the smokey eye works. Pictures definitely wouldn't hurt! BE PREPARED though... I almost fell down when they told me the total of how much my makeup cost and I didn't even buy everything OR any of the brushes! I had to wait and separately buy other makeup I needed...

I originally thought I wanted a more flowy/beachy-type dress...until I tried this one on. And, I got the sample which fit like a tee and was 50% off You are going to be so gorgeous!! You've thought of everything down to the smallest detail. I can't wait to see the pics of you and your vintage wedding! I wish I had it in me to plan details like that. I don't blame you not wanting to toss your garter! It sounds exquisite. We're not doing the garter toss since our guests are pretty much family and two friends, one of which is married. So that would be weird... You're dress is stunning! I said out loud "wow!" it's so classic and pretty. 50% doesn't hurt either! Thank you! Shoot, I had enough time, over 2 years of planning gives you the time to think of everything... twice. I have a lot to sell and I've flown right over budget, let's just put it this way. I'm a fan of little details so that's all I've been focusing on! Quote: Originally Posted by renee1811 Taylor, your dress is GORGEOUS!!!! I think you should get something for your hair if you love it, it's your wedding, it only happens once and if you like it, go for it. You could always sell it later.

Shannon - You look goregous! Love your dress, so pretty! Di - LOL! I read that and was like... it's a White One? Well that was a given, haha! I totally didn't realize that was the brand name Can't wait to see it! I had the hardest time finding a dress! I probably tried on 60 dresses before going to a salon alone and finding it. -

I am borrowing my best friend's veil - not sure I'll walk down the aisle with it - but want one for pictures at least. I love the pix of the bride & groom kissing under the veil. I've got dime-size ivory pearl and crystal cluster earrings and a pearl bracelet. I love my dress so much I want it to be the shining star! Well besides me, of course Etsy has everything!!! Just be careful because you can go crazy on there! I love the simplist jewelry, you IN the dress is definitely the shining star. I can't wait to see your dress, sounds similar to mine (silk and form fitting) I am wearing a pearl necklace, pearl earrings or these cool vintage inspired jeweled earrings I found. I have a tulle cage veil and a feather fascinator with a vintage broach on it which I will wear either with the veil or after the ceremony for the reception. My garter is flat lace with cut out flourishment <---- not in fact a real word... with a similar toss garter. It was so expensive though I almost don't want to toss it, LOL! My shoes are ivory, peeptoe slingback and I'm have a feather clip made for the top. So I will be more decorated than I ever have been
