I need to find a cheap veil fast and so far have had zero luck! Yeah I am! My alterations are just taking it in though, it's just too big, nothing major at all. They still charged me a pretty penny for it! Wow, I can't wait to see it!! I bought my veil on Etsy... it's not typical it's a tulle cage veil but someone could make whatever you need and probably rush it to you! It's definitely hard not trying it on first.

(Though I haven't met her yet. ) And fiance is from Austin, TX. Small world. So cool to see brides from our "hometowns" getting married at AS! Have fun! Show us pictures when you return if you like Definitely is a small world! We'll definitely have to meet up sometime, it's great we're so close, too bad not all of us are within driving distance, we could have one hell of a little get together

I love that analogy, when I thought of it and said it, I was like, ooo that's a good one because no one can argue with it. It's just insane to be scared to go to one part of a country that's safe and tourist geared because the other side of the country has some bad parts. I just let it roll off, I noticed if my confidence is obvious and I have no concerns it relaxes people a bit.

I can't wait to see your finished dress with the new neckline, the dress was gorgeous to begin with but I'm sure you made it more you. I go in for my 2nd fitting April 12th, I'm nervous but excited, I hope it fits perfectly!

I used to always turn to FI and say in my best Bill voice "Sookie." and he always responds in his best twangy Sookie voice as says "Beeeiiiil!" Cracks me up! After I finish my current book I'm moving onto the books for sure!
  11. Thanks Karen! You too, have a Happy Easter everyone!
  12. Wow, I can't believe how many a-holes there are out there! I really thought this wasn't super common but it's amazing how many flakey people there are. I lost 3 groomsmen & 2 bridesmaids and spent weeks in tears over it. Both groomsmen are no longer our friends. One groomsman we haven't heard from in a YEAR, another groomsmen say he couldn't get the ONE day he needed off work but has managed to go to another DW the month before ours that he was invited to AFTER he accepted being a groomsman for us... then he had his girlfriend that I had just met email me saying they weren't coming, didn't even have the decency of a text or email from himself. I wish people were just straight up honest! Everyones right though, it's amazing how weddings really put people in their true light and it's a rough time to find out who your true friends are in life but good to know as well that we can weed out the people that are not dependable.

I am going to try going back on Monday.(they are closed during the weekend)... Also your DIY looks great... Where did you go for the immodium Ad? Thank you! I will DEFINITELY post pictures and do a planning/review thread of some sort. There's sure to be some shenannigans that weekend. I'm thinking about getting a party bus with an extra classy stripper pole, those always class up any ride down to the chapel, LOL!

I owe her a huge tip, but I have no idea how to tip thru Etsy.. haha. The detail on them is incredible. Pictures do not do this justice! I highly recommend her!! The feel of them is very hard because it is heated up clay, but you would never know just looking at them that they have a texture like they do. I'm so glad I made the choice of clay flowers! That's awesome! I thought they looked amazing in the photo so I'm sure they must be stunning in person! Are they heavy? Do you know how you are going to transport them? Very carefully I'm sure, hahah!
  17. Karen - Once again you amazing me with your creativity! I love the mat idea for the shoes, I had one of those in my hand at Target and was like, what can I do with this I really want it!! Couldn't figure anything out... I just finished my first aid kits too! I am calling them Just in Case kits and have the same exact items as you except for the Tylenol, Pepto & Immodium. I think I need to add more in there. I have B1 vitamins in there as they prevent hangovers since that's one of the elements that is depleated when you drink. I am putting together my bridesmaids pre-trip bags tonight... yes I went overboard and I'm giving them gift bags BEFORE we go with travel stuff and then big ol' beach bags full of stuff upon their arrival... no wonder why I went over my budget I also just booked my Vegas Suite which is so amazing I can hardly stand it. I also just booked our Elvis Wedding ceremony which is pretty hilarious and it comes with a DVD of the ceremony!! I'm getting really excited about my Vegas wedding now, haha!
  18. Karen - Thanks for the compliment on my shades! They are for the OOT bags but I've been wearing those pink ones all week It's funny, last week I was preparing stuff for my close friends baby shower and it was majorly stressing me out because I waited until the last minute sort of but I was relieved to have a NEW topic to stress me out which felt weird JT3 - I agree... I wish there were more stuff to look at in person, it would definitely cut down my internet browsing time although I am totally an internet shopper and have been able to find coupon codes/free shipping for 99% of all the stuff I purchased and I don't think I've had to return anything yet. I do have stuff to sell but that's just stuff I changed my mind on later.

Right girls - I am off to the airport for my shower and hen night in Baltimore tomorrow night!!! watch out!!!! I'll post pictures when I get back - we are all wearing horrific brdiesmaids gowns and I am in a $25 bride gown from salvation army. My mom found it - covered in sparkles and poofy sleeves - HOT! Have a great weekend. Thank you! Those glasses are for my OOT bags too, I was peeling off all the "Made in China" stickers and decided we needed to take em' for a spin... I've been wearing those pink ones all week though, LOL! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNN Amy! I wish I was coming, totally my kind of party, I can't wait to see pix!

  23. Thanks Shannon! They were too fun not to purchase! OOO I love linen fedoras! I was trying one on at J Crew last week! I look terrible in hats unfortunately... I love your ceremony space too! It's absolutely gorgeous! Dianep - Welcome! I feel you, details, details, details right now! I am realizing a lot of stuff that's still needed that I didn't realize until now also
