I knew I'd lost weight but I swear I haven't lost enough to have it taken in again! so, I haven't got it yet! Had to have an argument with them in the shop as they don't do alterations at weekends or in the evenings and I refused outright to have to book ANOTHER day off work just to have another alteration that they should have got right the first time! (I feel bad enough that I'll be off work for 3 weeks without keep booking days off for everything else!) so I got them to agree to stay late one night and I've got to rush home from work next Wednesday and get there for 7.30pm! fingers crossed, this is the last one! Also took my wedding shoes and my wedding jewellary (necklace and earrings) and it all works so well together, I'm really pleased. I decided on the white/ivory wedding shoes...mainly because you can't see them even when I walk lol but I am wearing the pink ones on Saturday for my hen night and I will take them to Mexico just in case I change my mind! I have got my hair trial with my hair dresser on Saturday (so I can take pictures and take it to the resort). Found a couple of tiaras I liked yesterday so bought 2 and will take them with me to see which looks best with however I have my hair. Also bought a bracelet that really compliments my necklace and earrings I'm so excited about my hen night! I've been so busy with wedding stuff I haven't seen enough of my girlfriends and with all our money going on the wedding, I haven't been able to afford to go out so this is a much needed night all round. and I'm excited as my theme is pink and black! - love it!! photos I'm sure will be up on facebook! You're slightly ahead of me! I think you should be semi-excited they had to take it in, it does suck that you have to take time off work. My place is the same they only do Monday, Wednesday & Friday's... super annoying. My second fitting is on Monday and my hair trial is next Thursday. I plan to bring all my accessories as well, I'm super nervous but excited about it. You sound ready girl!! I just received my shoe clips yesterday, I'm wearing ivory shoes as well. NICE!!! What a total score! Are you doing a planning thread? I've been putting mine together and it's huge so far and I'm not nearly done!

Also, on the amenity sheet they sent me I think dress pressing is listed as $10. That's ridiculous! I don't know any of us who have been charged for this... I'm doing the Sky Deck wedding, cocktail hour and private reception also! I would fight her on this. Ok I'm gonna have to look up the email my WC sent me, hopefully I'm not losing my mind with this dress pressing Unless she meant 100 pesos....

  5. Shannon - Oh no! I hate it when that happens... did you accidentally throw it away maybe? Have you tried retracing your steps and remembering when and where you last had it and what you did with it? I was cleaning out our closet last year and had a huge pile of clothes that I stuffed into a garbage bag to take to good will and right after that FI couldn't find his brand new $125 Lucky jeans... I'm pretty sure I gave good will brand new jeans... still kicking myself for this one! Diana/Shannon - I'm glad you girls mentioned this because I have been EXHAUSTED lately and even going to bed earlier doesnt help. I have been slacking too, for days I've been saying I'm going to finish my ceremony and instead I've been hanging out on the couch with FI watching tv/movies. I haven't even been working out as much as I should because I'm so tired, this must be mental stress or something, it's really annoying whatever it is!

  9. Sungoddess, great tips! Thank you! I've been going about 2 times a week and use the fancy lotion, now I won't even bother with buying it and just my regular stuff at home

My mom and FI's parents will be there with us. Amy, you're also the only one having Elvis marry you!! I love this! You guys are going to have a blast! I know right? Riiiiidiculous! I was only going to do the ceremony and then realized that would be weird looking if the chairs are all different... so oh well, I don't have much choice Good point! I don't mind waiting too, I am pretty excited about Elvis though
  11. AMY OMG I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! How fun!!!! You look amazing Amazingly 80's, I bet you girls had a blast!

I did that and it didn't seem to be an issue.

  14. Jo - Your dress looks amazing!! You'd never even know it was a knock off!! I love it on you, very good choice steflovesbran - your dresses are both gorgeous! I love the baby yellow bridesmaids dresses, they are perfect. The train on your dress is so dramatic too, it's amazing! I love Duosheng, that was one of the best choices I made getting my TTD dress made there

I'm in love with that vintage/retroesqe vibe of the setting, I'm super impressed!
  16. How exciting for you both! I plan on doing my legal day 2 months after Mexico, I think I'm the only one doing this We're going to Vegas so it's another trip, not that far but still a trip nonetheless!

Anyone else use her as you WC? I'm finding that all of the documents (that I have to search for to find myself) conflict with each other. WTH? I too had to fire my TA that was literally screwing up everything, so I feel ya! Kiara is my WC too, I love her, she's been great through this whole process but I know what you mean, as of late it's far between the responses she sends me. She told me they finally hired another coordinator and she was training them and in the same week her computer died like 3 times. So just know that, she's such a sweetheart! I agree with the emails, evidence! You better believe I'm printing out a grip of 'em to bring with Quote: Originally Posted by dirtymartini Great idea! What did you decide? I plan to carry on my dress so I'm hoping it doesn't get too wrinkled.

Im excited bc I hope this means we will be official homeowners in a few months. Havent heard about the job, but applications were due April 1 and it starts June 1 and Im sure it took so long to go through the applications. they required 3 letters of recommendation, law school transcript, resume, one page statement, and writing sample. Geesh!! I am more focused on teh job than the wedding. BUT we did finalize our vows yesterday and almost dnoe wiht the DJ list. Oh and did I mention my venue emailed me yesterday saying they were going to charge me $3 a chair to carry from teh beach to the reception. I almost broke out in tears!!! Only 3 weeks till Im sitting on a beach. THANK GOD!!! Good luck ladies! Morning! Wow, that's so exciting! You are doing a lot of major life changes all at once, married life for you is sure to be sweet with a brand new home and great new job Ok this will make you feel better... my chairs are $16 a piece and they told me they WOULDN'T move the ceremony chairs to the reception. Get this, I have to pay a whole new charge for the reception chairs.
  19. Good luck ladies!! Lots of deserving B2B's up there
  20. I'm made our BM & Matron of Honor custom Converse with their names on it. Surprisingly, they both LOVE Converse and I know they'll freak out. For my Maid of Honor, I found a vintage gold locket and got her mom to scan 2 old pictures of herself and her at a young age. She found pictures of them both at 17 and that's in the locket, she's totally gonna cry. I'm not buying my mom or FI's parents a gift. They didn't contribute a dime to the wedding and we actually just loaned them money recently so.... no. I'm not bitter, no

I did a BD shoot too, my photog just let me know that my book should be available this week! I can't wait to see it
