"This Kind of Love" by Sister Hazel LOVE IT !!! After listening to mostly songs by female artists, I realized I really thought a man singing would be better. I am walking down the aisle to Alicia Keys, and thats a girl saying how she needs nothing but him, so this one is vice versa. So perfect! Now on to find exiting down the aisle songs.... FI doesn't like "Sign Sealed Delivered" b/c its too much like an oldie (surprise surprise). UGH I thought it was perfect. Back to the drawing boards... or iTunes Any suggestions BTW Megan - love your new siggy pic - so cute Awww I love that song! Great choice Amy Processional song eh, I LOVE oldies so I really don't know... I really wanted to walk down the aisle to "I Want to Break Free" by Queen but I don't think everyone shares my humor I am now walking back down the aisle to "You are the Best Thing" Ray LaMontagne I think it's less stressful to NOT take dance lessons, I can't believe my 5th and final lesson is this Sunday and that's it... freaking scary.

My hair trial is tomorrow actually, I can't wait!
  3. Autumn - That's amazing! Those are good results but I felt the same way, I didn't feel or see much change until I did P90X and realized my muscles had strength and much better endurance.

We like what the resort has to offer, but would like some honest reviews. Any tips, advice you have would be appreciated! Thanks! Hi Theresa! This is definitely a question for past brides here which they do stick around a little. I am just going to go ahead and say that I personally have not heard of a bad wedding review from any of the girls that got married on this site. Most of the wedding reviews are glowing and gorgeous reflections of their perfect day. I would suggest you search BDW planning threads, some of the past AS planning threads on here are just amazing. Side note for us AS thread girls, KatKen's AS wedding got published in a wedding mag, so exciting!

That's fine...actually helps a ton with the budget BUT looking at the guests who have confirmed or told us that they were going to attend...it's pretty much all my side! AHHHH! I feel so bad for Stephen. I don't know why his family all the sudden can't make this happen. He isn't home right now but he is going to be heartbroken when I tell him that his cousin declined. What should I do about this? Should I encourage him to invite more people. (He had originally wanted to but I discouraged him bc of size and budget.) Should I email some of his friends and tell them to start booking. Maybe that wil even things out and make him feel a little better. I totally expect atleast a handful or more of his friends to make the trip but with none of them having paid, make me really nervous. Has anyone else experienced a lop-sided RSVp situation? I’m gonna be totally honest with you, if your FI has people he wants to come from his side, I say absolutely let him invite them and don’t worry too much about budget. You’ll be surprised at the number that “say†are coming and the number that actually do, people fall off etc. and not everyone you invite will come. I have definitely been surprised at who we know is not coming but it is what it is. I had a lot of people fall off as well, in the end all the people that truly want to be there will be. Most everyone coming are my friends… FI only has himself and his BM and I had to fill up his side with people who are more my friends but still his too. Between the both of us 2 we have only 6 family members coming and no parents for me. I think with a DW you really can’t rely on 100% tradition half your side half his. Travel and out of the country weddings tend to make things a little unique so just know that and plan the best you can. Quote: Originally Posted by Aneliese26 Hi Everyone, I leave tonight!!! I should be excited but im a little nervous - there are some really bad reviews on trip advisor at the moment and the weather forecast gives rain there for the next 7 days!!! I live in the UK, the whole point of us booking a wedding abroad was to avoid the rain!! hahaha! Oh well, what will be, will be :-) Thank you all for the posts - Kittenheart- thanks for the photographer recommendation, Chris is flying out on Sunday!! :-) I will post a review and pics as soon as I can ( I always loved the reviews and pics) :-) Thanks once again!! :-) Anneliese OMG!! How exciting!! I was talking to Chris on the phone the other day and he mentioned leaving soon for your wedding, I’m so glad you booked him and I am literally twitching with excitement to hear about it and see your pictures (if you want to share!!!). DON’T listen to Trip Advisor, people complain regardless and everyone is different. There will always be complainers out there and AS isn’t exactly the crème de la crème of hotels so what do they expect, The Ritz?? You’re so welcome, can’t wait to hear back from you, have a fabulous wedding!
  7. Karen - You are a hottie!! Super sexy, you're FI will love!!

Some of my family is already there, and when I talked to them today, they just raved and raved and raved. HOOOOOOOOORAAAAAAAY! I guess we done good Good luck with all the planning over the next couple weeks! AmyKH and Katie, I can't wait to hear where you're at when I get back! I think you're up next!!! Thank you for keeping me sane, ladies. I wish I could take you all with me!! We'd have one hell of a good time!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!! Wendy, this freaking gave me chills girl!! I am SOOOOO EXCITED for you, I could just imagine the anticipation and excitement of being ready to go!! I know I'll be there with you in spirit for sure, I absolutely wish all of us could attend each other's weddings, how sweet that would be!!! I think Katie and I really are next, my stomach just tightened a little! Have an AMAZING wedding!!!! I am sending you all my positive energy!!
  9. FI insists that we don't see each other the night before the wedding so he is going to crash with a friend the night before our wedding and get ready in another room. I tried to show him my dress and he won't even look at it! Pictures before the ceremony to save time? Nope, he's adamant so oh well!

I have been eating good food and definitely less.. When did everyone else start seeing changes? I want to start with saying that everyone is different and everyone's bodies react differently to working... the same thing doesn't work for everyone. Men always seem to react better to working out and they have noticble changes quickly. It took me a few weeks to see a change, I also put on weight while doing it due to muscle. Are you following the diet per P90X AND the calorie counts? I was and things were fine but I'm 3 weeks away from my wedding and wanted to slim more than tone and took out 200 cals from my diet and lost 3lbs in the last 2 weeks. Don't get discouraged, if you are getting stronger that's definitely something right there!
  11. The girls are all spot on... I can tell you right now if I had chosen Zoetry to have my wedding at, it would be FI, myself and the pool boy as our witness. No one would have come. I realized early on that, yes I want the best and the most gorgeous resort but what was REALLY the most important thing for us both is that our close friends attend and we have a group of people there that mean the most to us that will share an incredible vacation with each other. I too considered eloping and honeymooning in Europe for a month instead but what is important to me is the group aspect and I picked a resort that I liked that was in the price range for most people to come. So there was a bit of sacrifice on our part. I say you need to decide what you want, if you want to get married at Zoetry despite who shows, stay there, if you would like certain people to attend look into another resort, if you don't care really and just want to have an amazing honeymoon, do that! Just sit down and discuss this with FI calm and well fed so you can make the best decision possible.

You need to buy accessories like a pullup bar (if you want) and free weights or resistance bands but go to somewhere like Target for that stuff, way cheaper. I bought the Iron Gym pull up bar which I just hang in my doorway, works great!

  14. Well if you really like cardio you'll enjoy this, I like cardio but this just felt over the top. Are you just looking to tone up?

P90X is what works best for me personally, everyone is different though because I don't prefer to do all cardio (which it is) I prefer to mix it up and do cardio, weight lifting, kickboxing, ploymetrics, yoga, pilates etc.
  16. Shannon - Thank you so much! So glad you had such a great time for your bachelorette, it's not a bachelorette unless you're recovery time is a solid day I have actually been to the Bryant Park Hotel Club (I'm almost positive) because my friend and I totally almost crashed a wedding there... instead we danced like fools outside because the music was good and our other friend ended up filming it Diana - I totally did Insanity! I hate it, it doesn't get any easier too because by time you finish month one and you feel like you have it down, month 2 is twice as hard and twice as long, so be prepared!

Do you have a flower/veil or both? You'll have to post some pics after your trial! I know I'm crazy, it fits fine. It's tight around my ribs which made me panic a little but the seamstress took one look at my face and said, "oh I did that on purpose! Your dress is strapless and it won't ever slip down so I made it tight" phew.... I can sit in my dress too which I told them to make it tight and that I didn't need to sit, no one listens Had big plans last night to workout and get tons done, instead my girls took me to a wine bar and I ended up home at 10pm from my 4pm appt... oops I have literally no clue how to do my hair, I was thinking twisty side but thing with vintage like side bangs (if that makes sense) but I really don't know, I have many conflicting inspiration pix, I just want to see what looks best. My hair stylist is also a friend of mine who booked my appt @ 5:30pm so we could do 3 or 4 different styles. She knows me too well, I have a tough time making decisions but once I do, I'm set and there's no turning back. When are you guys updating it for the next two weeks? Oh good! I tend to be blunt and trust me, I wasted a lot of time waiting until I finally just started being direct with people and that really did work better in the long run. People need to understand you need advanced notice since you have to plan. Monday the 19th I'll ask everyone for their new to do list
  19. Katie - I LOVE YOUR SIGGY PIC!!! SO freaking cute I am not glad you feel the same was as I do, I wouldn't wish this on anyone but it's a little relieving to hear I'm not the only one that bawls her eyes out over little things. Yesterday was my 2nd (and last apparently) dress fitting and was having a bad morning already, Sunday through Monday arguement with FI and since we work together and drive together now (he just sold his car and is buying a new one) there's no escaping each other. So my MOH & bridesmaid who were supposed to come with me I let them they didn't need to come because I was having a bad day etc. and they both ended up shifting their schedules to come and suggested we find a wine bar and have a glass of wine after the fitting was successful and the dress came home with me. This ended up being a whole night of wine and no wedding stuff soooooo I really need to lock it up and get focused! Needless to say, we had a blast

OMG how thrilling!! I am close to getting details done but currently in a serious frenzy... like not sleeping and a maniac. My BFF & MOH actually offered to clean my house and another offered to do my laundry, how SAD is that?! I can't wait Wendy, you're going to have the best time ever and laugh at all our worries upon your return, walking back on Cloud 9!
