You girls have awesome sounding jobs! I work at a software company in corporate sales. My boss gave me extra over time this week... gee thanks. My diet has been slowly dying for the past 2 weeks and it's really upsetting! This weekend is gonna be nuts! -

How are you decorating the Sky Deck? Are you have the chuppah thingy? What about other decor? I also want to make a door sign for our door being the wedding couple. Anyone have any ideas for that? I would LOVE to Amy, seriously! Girl Kinkos is where it's at! They should know FI and me by now, we held up quite a long line one Sunday where there was only one guy working Oh and the best purchase I made was a Fiskars cutter, it's one that has all sorts of measurements and you zip a rotary blade up and down and BAM, clean beautiful edges. I also live in craft stores. There are the coolest glues now, little dots, love em, not wet, sticky as hell, wonderful. Door sign, hmmm do you have publisher? You can also buy a blank door sign or probably download a free one and put whatever you want on it. There are SO many free download on the internet it's not even funny, my doorsign was a free download, same with my moustache signs, I just combined them and put some popsicle stick like wood on the back to keep them upright. That reminds me... I forgot some stuff on my planning thread, haha whoops!

Thank you Wendy! I spent SO much time and put my blood, sweat and tears into this wedding. I'm totally an all or nothing girl so it was literally between this or elope. Eloping would have been easier... LOL I could plan someone else's wedding easier though, maybe I'll stay in Mexico and drag my 5 suitcases around with me and making my living out there

Ladies I posted my planning thread! There are a few items in between comments that I forgot on the 2nd or 3rd page... drinking wine and computers don't go hand and hand with me http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-thread-58383/ -
Somehow this didn't make it in! Photography: We got recommended by a good friend of ours to use Chris Schmitt Photography as she had recently used him for her own wedding. I saw his pictures and loved them; he was out of our goal price range but WELL worth the extra money. We did our engagement shoot in August 2009 in Union Station in Los Angeles. There is no air conditioning there and that day it happened to be 110 degrees. In between most shots we were wiping off the sweat and trying to look comfortable, the pictures came out great despite the insane heat! Chris put us up on his blog Union Station Engagement Pictures | Chris Schmitt Photography Blog I also got my Boudoir Photos taken by Chris, my BFF/MOH came with me, the wine never stopped flowing and we had a blast! My photog had the pictures made into a leather bound book for my FI. It will be delivered to him on wedding day while he’s getting ready by my MOH and instructed to look at it privately. a little more!

Created and printed: I downloaded and printed this door hanger for me while I’m getting ready I also downloaded these Tree Programs from marthastewart.com. On the front is says “What tree did you fall from?” Then you match up your birthday to the tree and it reads you like a little horoscope. It has nothing to do with anything except that it’s something to do while people are seated for the ceremony. I punched a hole through the back side and put black ribbon through to hang from chairs We made our own menu’s using Microsoft Publisher; it was very easy to use: We also created a sign for our signature drink, which I spent an evening with some of my girls making 3 different recipe options and doing lots of taste tests to decide. We ended up with a Sparkling White “Swangria” which I know, it’s cheesy but it cracks me up since we’re having a bird theme: I also made postcards at VistaPrint to have everyone fill out at the farewell brunch the following morning noting down advice or their favorite moment of the trip and then I’ll have my MOH stick these in the mail once a week so we can continue to be reminded of our day. I got this idea from someone else on the forum, I don’t remember who but it’s brilliant! Our BM created our wedding day Timeline that we printed out on cardstock and put in the OOT bags: Clothing: I bought this tank top for our flight and made this hoodie as well: More to come...

I made these keycard/tip holders, ebay for the card holder, punch and coil for the wristlets & Vista Print for the business card inserts I ordered these vanilla scented candles from Beau Coup and put our monogram stamp/sticker on it I ordered custom matches from weddingchannel.com I also made Just in Case kits with First Aid kits I got from Target for $1 each. I added 2 packets of Emergen-C & 2 packets of Emergency and individual packets of B1 vitamins which is the vitamin that you become deficient in when you drink and causes a hangover. FI and I made the sticker we put on top of the kits I bought these recently for the groomsmen and FI immediately picked out his color Instead of Spanish for Dummies, I decided on Cocktails for Dummie which I found in the Target $1 section for 50% off! The group I’m going with is mostly friends and more of a party group and they are always trying to come up with a new drink or fun shot so I thought this would be more appropriate: I also had OOT bag tags made by on Hornbill Hill Design Studio by hornbillhill on Etsy She also made me escort & place cards but they didn’t photograph right for some reason. More to come...

These are for all the wedding party day of for cool pix More to come...

I have gathered up pictures of my and FI’s family’s wedding photos and framed them to decorate the guest book table: I kept putting off getting a cake cutter and knife set. Finally the other day it dawned on me that I recently received a full set or 2 of silver from my grandmother. I bought some silver polish and had FI get to work on polishing it up and it’s like brand new! I tied ribbon around it and this is what we’re using (it’s so shiny the glare from the flash kept messing up the photo so sorry for the bad pic) As for table numbers I wanted to do something a little different. I’ve been collecting vintage playing cards that have birds on them and got lucky with getting 2 of each. These will be my table “numbers” I bought a chalkboard from Framed Mirrors and Chalkboards Handmade by Ashley by RowansRoom and plan to write some clever saying about finding your nest or something, I’m still not sure (and open to suggestions) FI was messing around with it when I was taking my photos I bought these signs to hang from our chairs at the reception: More to come...
