I'm in the same boat, almost, I came back from 2 weeks in Mexico with about 10lbs and ZERO motivation to do anything but have fun, snuggle with DH with a pizza, beer and a movie. Arg! I just ordered something totally new from the Beachbody site that should be fun and I'll incorporate P90X and running with it. I was thinking of doing vintage images of the cities we have lived in (Baltimore, Austin, New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Amsterdam) but I think I might have 10 tables so that won't be enough. Hmm..what to do? I hope you don't have mine old TA... His name is David Victor out in NJ. Whatever you do, switch TA's immediately if I were you. He made so many giant mistakes that if had not been caught would have screwed up my and many of my guests trips. Misspelled everything, didn't actually take my deposit for my room so never booked it for me etc. Patti Ortiz fixed all of this for me. I like it! We did the wedding on the beach, and splurged and got the Premium Deluxe Package, because I love flowers Here is an image of the gazebo: Here is a picture of me and the hubby (that's so weird to say!!) during the ceremony: Here we are during the sand ceremony: And here is the set-up for the reception. Since we had the premium deluxe, it was supposed to come with four large baskets of flowers. Our on-site wedding coordinator (who was fabulous!) switched those out for the tall glass vases and then we were able to use the flowers on top as the centerpieces for the reception site, which was great because we were originally just going to use the bouquets. Ladies, do not stress! The wedding coordinators on-site are AMAZING, and do everything to make your day absolutely perfect. Amy, I am so glad you had an awesome wedding also! I gave them my guest books from my wedding and photos of all my relatives on their wedding day that I had at my reception as well. I brought along the mustaches too for obvious reasons. My best friend had little bubble tubes made with our names and wedding dates on them. They had food, just snack like food mostly with perrier. There was a bar with champagne and lambrusco and real champange flute glasses with a bowl of rapsberries. There were chairs everywhere and everyone just basically hung out and had a good time. Music was playing that a friend put together, some our wedding music, others songs that reminded us of Mexico. It wasn't like a wedding reception at all, it was a way for people to come celebrate with us that weren't able to go, sign my guest book and bring a present!

Getting further away you could have them go to the Wave Swim up bar which has seating and lounging areas with cool lanterns at night, I suggest that probably, it's by the adult swim up bar so you'll have to send someone to round everyone up when the reception area is ready. You could always have them hang out at the Mojito Lounge as well which is large, air conditioned and pretty lively. That's very far away though, across the resort.

We wrote our own vows together for what was important to us. If you are doing the legal ceremony, you can change some of the set ceremony, however since the judges do not speak perfect English, you might want to have your guests do readings - such as the sand ceremony, hand ceremony, or poems. Good luck! I'm really glad you feel this way! I wrote my entire ceremony and personal vows as well and I have been very hesitant to share it because it feels so personal to me. I totally respect it and thank you for sharing!

I'm just not sure if its worth the hassle I will post a picture of my flowers. I ordered real touch stems and rented vases from Lomas. Kiara negotiated my vase price down for my by 50%! So I had the submerged orchid stems in 3 different colors, 3 different size vases with a floating candle on top, I thought it looked gorgeous. Quote: Originally Posted by chong What?!? The candles and its holders are too expensive to rent from LOMAS. I think you need to look at the price they are offering for each piece and decide what is the most economical choice. Chong Are you sure they didn't mean $150 for the two of them? Yeah, don't rent candle holders from them. I brought all my candles in glass holders and just packed them well in my suitcase, worked out great! I'm paying for a cocktail party the day we arrive as a welcome reception and I don't want to pay for another one after the wedding. My reception is at the Zavaz plaza so I was thinking the Zavaz lounge would be convenient. So can someone give me some information on this location and if it's not a good place can you recommend some place I can tell people to gather at? The Zavaz lounge from what I can remember is outside of the restaurant but you may have to go through the restaurant to get there. It's nothing fantastic. It's just a wooden bar outside with people eating at tables to the left and right of it. So it's definitely informal... how many people are you having? It's not a big area so just make sure it can fit everyone. Our thought was that we were paying all this money to bring down our photographer so we wanted the best possible lighting for our pictures. DH was adamant about this as well so my pictures are all taken after the ceremony. Wendy was smart, doing the wedding at 4pm would have been better (hotter but more light) we ran late too so we quickly ran out of light but still managed to get in all the shots before our reception which I belive we were nearly an hour late too... oops! I am also going to Jo-An fabric and having different pieces/styles of beautiful vintage inspired fabircs cut and will places those large fabric squares underneath the blume boxes. That way I don't have to pay beyond the whte table clothes which are included but each table will have some personal flare. I had gone back and forth with a lot of other, and much more creative ideas, but the hassle of bringing things with me and having to assemble things there really put me off. I think it is easier this way and am sure it will still look lovely. I think that sounds great! Gorgeous and unique Quote: Originally Posted by amybermuda I did pictures after the ceremony too. But the pictures ate up most of the cocktail party, so there are pluses and minuses to everything! Another idea is to have framed pictures on each table. I used pictures of love birds to denote table seating - so instead of #s - there were really nice 5x5 or 5x7 picture frames. You could go fancy or casual with the picture frames you use and you can use them again. Eveeryone's name card had a small picture of the love bird on it, and they found their table by matching it to the frame. Check out my bouquet! AMAZING!!!!! I didn't experience a second of my own cocktail hour, it was there to keep everyone else entertained while we took pictures. The funny thing is, a lot of people followed us around while we took our pictures taking their own! I really can't believe I didn't get a picture with the donkey... all that donkey business and he was gone before we knew it! I did something so similar! I had vintage lovebird playing cards I found, all different and put them in holders on the seating cards table and had my MOH's mom artistically write the instructions on the chalkboard. It worked out, everyone figured out how to match their bird card to their table, I loved it You're right, you're bouquet is GORGEOUS!!

I have read this thread I believe from start to finish (it took a looong time). :-) I think we've narrowed it down to the Azul Sensatori with a back up option in case the prices are out of our range of possibilities. We're just waiting for the pricing confirmation and confirmation of a wedding date. I'm so excited I can't stand it. One question for you AS brides. Does anyone know if their is any kind of separate pricing for the Private Reception for children? I know that lots of resorts offer a 2 for 1 or children under 12 are free but I haven't been able to find any details about that for the AS yet. Thanks in advance, and here's hoping I officially become an AS bride soon! Congrats on becoming engaged and to the forum/thread regardless of what you choose!! I don't have an answer to your question, I'm sure one of us does!

I found out during my wedding why.... There was a onlooker in a bikini sobbing during my entire ceremony and family pictures, and bridal prty pictures on the beach with a friend consoling her. Seriously for an entire hour. Turns out she was supposed to get married that weekend - called off the wedding - and her family still went as vacation. And she sobbed in a bikini and towel 50 feet from my ceremony and pictures!!! Even with the crazy crying girl, I was still so thankful no one has to move to another hotel. Will start working on some photos to post soon. I have to do my planning thread and review as well. The flowers though - were AMAZING. Prettiest wedding flowers I have ever seen. wow wow wow YAY!!! back MRS!!!!!! Happy to have you in the club Can't believe this girl crying... COME ON! I am the fiesty one that would have told her to lock it up. Riiiiddddiculous. It was so perfect that no one got bumped, everything worked out in the end! We had the minister wedding - it was the woman with long dark hair. Her voice was so soothing and her english was excellent. I wish I had taken that honeymoon right after though. Its not very relaxing organizing all those excursions, welcoming each person, saying goodbyes, and talking to everyone ll day. It was awesome - but I really wish I had another week in Mexico I was married by the same woman! She was amazing, I was very happy with her. HAHA, I know... wait until you have nothing to do planning wise after your wedding and it's nice for a few weeks and then it's sad because you don't want it to be over! I actually did a little research and the Hangover Suite doesn't look anything like it did in the movie... it's kinda meh looking in real like and so for $5,000 I decided that wasn't worth it... (I'm thinking the price went up since it was in the movie) I am now in a MGM Skyloft, 3,000 square feet, pool table, flat screens, butler, all that stuff. Also you have to have a private guest list for anyone coming to your suite because it's escort only to those suites which is pretty cool. I paid $2,000 for the suite and I'm having everyone bring a bottle of alcohol and a mixer, get some hor'derves and done! You cannot make pre-reservations for Le Chique, I tried and they told me that your personal concierge is the only person who can make them and that depends on your building number. 20. Wendy, haha! Yeah but now I'm truly missing planning, I feel bored and confused, LOL I can't believe my reception is tomorrow... I literally have NO idea what it will look like and who's coming, how crazy is that? Vegas - I just applied for our marriage license online yesterday. I already booked the rooms, the Elvis chapel and package and our flights. I will add this to the to do list: Book party bus for transport to and from the hotel to the chapel Get final list of who's coming to Vegas Book hair and makeup appointment with MGM Find shoes for dress Make invites for Vegas wedding Figure out if anything else should be done for this... I will get a random text every few weeks that says she is soooo sorry she hasn't posted the pics...blah blah blah...and will send me the pics and other things "first thing monday morning." Then I never hear from her. Also, this is so stupid, but it just confirms her flakiness to me. She borrowed my garmin to get back to the airport for our enagement pics 1 MONTH ago. Well, I have given her my fed ex acct number and address and everything like 5 times. She keeps saying she forgets to send it, and now just won't respond to me. Like, I said, I know this is dumb to worry about, but it just seems really shady on top of everything else. Get what I am saying? And in my job (I drive about 300-400 miles everyday all over the state of Alabama), a Garmin to me is equivalent to a hair dresser not having a blow dryer! haha It is almost impossible to get around these tiny towns everyday without one. I had to go buy a new one. So, to make a long story even longer, here is the bottom line: I am spending more money on my pictures than I can even stomach. Paying her fee, her travel, her travel to NOLA for engagement pics, etc etc etc etc has gotten WAAAAY out of control. BUT it is worth it to me. However, this shadiness is scaring me to death!!!!!! What would you guys do? And she blocked me on facebook from seeing her status updates. Ok, that sounds so stalker-like, but it is true... Wait she blocked you from seeing her status updates?! WTF This IS shady, I'd be straight up with her and send her a little reality check email. Have you already paid her for everything? Is there any leverage you have? Photographers make me nervous, I emailed back and forth with mine for months before deciding. He's lets me know when he'll be out of town and always gives me timelines of when I'll get pictures and is always on time with it. You should be able to rely and trust your photographer. I wouldn't be mean with her but I'd let her know what you expect from her and if she can't deliver that you'll have to look elsewhere. Good luck girlie!
