  1. I know! I am so happy! This one we made mostly about friends although I did have a few shoots of me and then me and FI. I think I'm photo obsessed!
  2. Man I would be going crazy, I had mine in a week! All 1,125 of them. Of course it's just a viewing website online... but it satisfies a bit of the craving! Maybe they are all being touched up? My photographer sent them all and is having me choose what I want to be in album and then will send a disk with the album of them touched up so I can share/print etc. I got an email from my photograhper today, should have my Vegas pix is 2 days! I want them now These are totally different style of photos so I am interested to see how they turned out!
  3. Skadow, HAHAHA! I feel you, I didn't want any kids at my reception either, alllll my friends smoke and drink and I didn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable with kids around. I did have it at a resort that had a family section and an adult section just in case and no one brought their kids... had I known that previously, I would have had it at an adults only hotel! You could just tell people it's an adults only event /hotel maybe?

  5. The girls are right, definitely don't assume, that may just cause unnecessary upset when that may not be the case at all. I paid for every single red cent of my wedding, not one penny was given to us by either side of our families. Like you, my father passed away and I didn't expect any money from anyone and planned on paying for it all myself. My mother did mention that she wants to pay for it and plans to pay me "back" for it. She's going through terrible financial times at the moment. Good luck, I hope you get it all sorted out!

There ended up being so much drama from certain people who came down and really ruined the night. That and I felt really sick all night so I didn't enjoy myself from that as well. I hate most of our pictures too and how I look in them. I have said this to my DH and told him I want to do it again, just another symbolic/vow renewal, just a relaxed atmosphere where we can have fun. Maybe for our first anniversary?? Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that! I'd say that's a great idea. For your first vow renewal, do it up a little and add elements that are exactly what YOU want, it is in fact your wedding vow renewals and it should be something you love. Aww nothing beats that man-pride of them being happy about something they did. I'm sure "improving it" without hurting his feelings is always possible! Hmmm, is there a way to change it or would you have to get a brand new one? I think if it's something you are going to wear for the rest of your life, you may want to have it be something you like. Just put it very gently. I am already fantasizing about cheating and its only day 1. Sometimes it is TOTALLY worth it! I agree with you, the diet SUCKS. I am a veggie and carbs girl... all the protein literally made me gag. Finding a good protein shake to supplement for meats really made a difference since I could pretend like a was drinking a chocolate steak instead of eating another chicken breast, ugh! 7. Love your FI's proposal! So much thought and time went into it, how sweet! Love your dress, everything looks elegent and gorgeous, you're going to have an amazing wedding!
  8. Wendy - So glad to hear your dad is ok! Flores - Good luck, I hope you find your dress! Ebbie - I had my legal day in Vegas on the 26th as well! That's why I came here to say what I'm happy about, it's legal and I had the best time ever!

I don't want to give off the idea that this AHR will be ultra fab tho. Depends on the finances after November! I do think the weekend will be very fun tho. We'll probably be typsy from Fri thru Tues!!! It's the 1st Mardi Gras I've had off in awhile so I'm really excited. OMG Ladies!!! AmyKH, Meghan and Wendy....hope you ladies are having fun for me!!! Brilliant idea! I didn't see your FB, I'll have to check it! It doesn't have to be glamorous or dripping with money to be fabulous, trust me! As long as people have fun, which is pretty much my favorite thing to do, then it's going to be amazing! I will totally let you know if I can make it Quote: Originally Posted by dstinationdrmr So Ladies, I just found out this week that I may be able to do a site visit!! I'm so anxious about it it's crazy. My mom is turning 60 this year and wanted to go to Paris but due to my wedding and my sister's divorce we had to downgrade that unfortunately. I suggested a cruise which is her fav vacay and it stops in Cozumel! The cruise is 2 weeks from now. Does anyone know the best way for me to get to AS from Cozumel? The 20 min flight from Cozumel to Cancun was suspended and I hear the bus from PM to Cozumel is very sporadic and I can't miss the boat Also, I know a lot of you are anxious about certain things so IF I can find a safe way to get back and forth AND get back to the boat in time, I'll be willing to scope out things that you guys need. My WC Cecile made it seem like its no big deal to get the site visit scheduled and she offered me a food tasting. I'm just waiting for her to get back to me about the cake tasting. I feel like I've gotten so much info from the ladies on here so the only thing I'm still nervous about is the food. So, I'll keep you posted on all of this. The dat for the site visit would be Tuesday, July 13th. How exciting!!!! Oh wow, that's soon! I hope you get to go. It would be easy to get over from Cozumel to Playa and then AS. Plan for a few hours though total getting from Cozumel to AS, traveling etc. Quote: Originally Posted by MaggieandJay I am going with the Mexican Donkey Cocktail as a Welcoming party and the Petit Gourmet package for the reception. They did bring out chairs for mine, I think my MOH asked and they moved some over.
  10. Kat your pictures ARE gorgeous!! Love them, captured you beautifully, you have an amazing smile BTW!
  11. Thanks Maggie!!! I leave for the airport in 2 hours and this day could not be creeping by any slower! I had a private dinner, Surf & Turf, tables chairs, white linens and napkins came with it, I rented the Chivali chairs instead. Everyone loved the Surf and Turf, it was delish!

Me & J would still be together & would do everything we are doing now. HOWEVER, once that ring was on the finger, I was in instant wedding planning mode and I wouldn't have changed my DW for the world! Thank you so much for saying this! I really felt alone in this feeling. I told DH that legalities, opinions etc. will never matter, I'm his wife and that's it, I even told him we really didn't need to make it legal etc. He's quite old fashioned and wouldn't have anything of it. I feel the same, I would never feel like anything is missing or there wasn't the same. Once getting married and having our DW, our relationship did jump into a new eschelon, it's even better now, strange!

Our toppers, however, we're going to frame. We got Greek letters made for our respective fraternity/sorority and a "W" that we're all gonna put in a frame. That's the only reason we spent that much on it. I guess if it means that much to you re-order it. If you think it will sit in a box forever...don't waste your money. It's not like you don't have tons of other keepsakes or gorgeous pics to remember your day. P.S. I'm so glad you finally asked me a question. Lol! I felt like our relationship was kinda lop sided too!! You make a great point. I absolutely LOVE your idea BTW of the greek letters and framing the W, brilliant, I've never heard of it before! You've struct my originality chord! I wanted to literally put them on my bookshelf or something so you're right, spending more money on them isn't worth it LOL, hell no! We don't have a lopsided relationship! I consider my duty as an AS bride and a bride in general to help B2B's. I received so much help and asked so many questions for over a year so now I get to pay it back, or forward, depending on how you look at it. 18. Congrats and welcome!! You still have some time to get some extremely useful and fun information from these girls, they're the best!
  19. Kelly, that's admirable, you do have a great attitude about it and you're still doing an AHR with everyone there, you'll feel married after that no doubt! I confess, even though everyone knows already, my wedding day and wedding was May 8th 2010, but I'm not legally married (due to the stupid Mexico law requiring blood tests to get legally married there, me being deathy afraid of needles and all) so we're going to Vegas this weekend with 30 people to do the legal wedding. This is no secret but I really feel NO need to get legally married. I feel blissful and married and I feel like a wife and everything is so very newlywed I love it. I say screw the man! Why does paperwork on my love life need to be filed away in order for it to be recognized? Anywho, still doing it though, it's important to DH so it's important to me... besides Vegas makes it alllll better!
  20. Congrats and welcome!! These girls are the most helpful and amazing women ever, you're in good hands!
  21. Thanks Maggie & Pazzesca!! So sweet My noms: Mrs. Autjo My B2B's were nom'd already... I need to think!
