July 4th is my birthday which is weird since everyone's always busy. I have no plans this year, I don't feel it's fair to celebrate it after having a wedding in May and another wedding last weekend

This is more of a side than a entire dish, although I did make this and only this for DH and I the other day
It's SO good! I used Egg Beaters because I had run out of egg whites and I don't eat eggs really. They were so amazing, I can even stand it.

What is the style of your wedding? I wanted mine to NOT be "beachy." I know that's weird to say, but I wanted it to be a little more formal. I LOVE linen pants, but it did not fit the style of my wedding. So FI's GM are wearing gray suits (yes, they will hate me after they sweat their butts off). What about white linen pants??
They were ok actually and all jumped in the pool after. No a single one complained

The moment of laughter and ring confusion in the middle is this... BM had both rings, MOH was freaking out because she didn't have ring so when I turned to hand over my flowers, she is laughing and red and pulls off her engagement/wedding band and hands it to me and I'm like what are you doing? She goes "I don't have his ring!!!" Good times

Thank you! You'd think it's the coolest birthday right? I always have a day off, even if it's on a weekend, everyone's off work and ready to party, fireworks, summertime in CA, can't ask for more right? Well believe it or not, I celebrated my first birthday with my BFF a few years ago. Since we met at the age of 4 she's been out of town for my birthday or I have. So I almost never get to see hardly anyone on my birthday, everyone goes out of town! So your Columbus Day birthday probably actually rocks way better than mine!Quote:

The head spinning was really gross. I was like WTF? I get that they can have hate-sex, but I just sat there disgusted. LOL Freaking FB for faking me out and makign me think there would be a sexy, steamy, too hot for TV sex scene.
2 weeks from now better redeem itself with some steamy Eric! The guy that plays Alcide is pretty hot... I'm not sure how he is in the book but I'm not complaining! I love that rugged look. -

I actually googled a program to convert a dvd to be formatted to be able to uploaded to YouTube. This is what I used, just the free trial - Extract Video Clip From DVD, Convert DVD Movie Clip For Youtube
It will upload a 10 minute video with the trial, mine was just under 8 minutes so it was perfect, do you know how long your ceremony is? I uploaded it retaining the default wizard settings and it was decent. DH changed some settings and made it much bigger which made the quality better but it took forever to upload. I'll get specifics for you if you need them.
Then I created a YouTube account and made the video unsearchable and only viewable to whoever has the link.

I'm bringing a photographer from home. I had to pay for his trip and give him $1000 so all together we're paying like $2,200 for him to shoot for the whole weekend. We were going with one of the hotel photographers at first but it was going to cost $1,300 for 5 hours of coverage. If your photographer stays at the resort for 3 or more nights you don't have to pay teh $500 fee.
Maybe your GMs can wear Sapphire colored shirts and linen pants.
That is an amazing price for photography and not too big a difference price wise for a photographer you love.

I think that the packages with the resort photographers aren't too great for the price, at least that was my experience last year when I was looking into photography options. I'm gonna check... I may have an empty Skydeck photo, you can always as your coordinator, they may have one too. Also, making an inspiration board really helped put everything in perspective. Maybe not specifically just on the ceremony location but in general.Quote:

Has anyone used the photographers the resort suggests? I hate to pay the 500 extra just to use one from outside. Also, my girls are wearing blue sapphire short dresses and I'm having a hard time deciding on the guys. My DH wants them to wear linen pants. Any thoughts?

BD - Boudoir
AS - Azul Sensatori
MIL - Mother in law
FIL - Father in law
FH - Future husband
FMIL - Future mother in law
FFIL - Future father in law
FSIL - Future sister in law
FBIL - Future brother in law
BM - Bridesmaid/Best Man
MOH - Maid/Matron of Honor
KWIM - This I do not know...
