  1. Hey Date Twin, your pictures were beautiful! You were absolutely breathtakng and you looked so happy! I'm so glad your day turned out so wonderfully for you. We were definitely both blessed. Congrats and enjoy being a MRS!!!
  2. I, too, had a dress that was very heavy. It had 4 layers to it and I was a little hot at the reception. I, however, would not change anything about my wedding dress because it was exactly what I wanted and I looked beautiful in it....as do you in yours. I would have definitely been disappointed had a gotten a more 'beachy' dress because regardless of where I was getting married, a 'beachy' dress is simply not what I wanted for my day. If you love the dress, ABSOLUTLEY get it!
  3. I don't think I did too bad. My budget was 10,000 but I'm happy with the total amount spent. Dress 1,100 DH Suit 250.00 Accommodations & airfare: 3,000 Wedding Package (included ceremony decor, location, videography) 2,000 Transportation for us & guests 250.00 Reception Food 1,000 Photographer 2,600 DJ 100.00 Cake 200.00 Favors & Decor 250.00 Flowers 400.00 Hair & Makeup 220.00 Shoes & Jewelry (me & my girls) 200.00 Girls dresses (I paid for them) 350.00 AHR Hall 900.00 AHR Cake 400.00 AHR DJ 500.00 Total: 13,720.00
  4. I am not a teacher yet, I have to pass the praxis II test and then I'll be good to go but I think you should probably ask yourself what you are looking for in a school district and maybe that will help you narrow down which school you should teach at. The points mentioned above are all things to take into consideration because class size is a determining factor to some teachers but not all. I know when I do become a teacher, I'm aiming for public school but, again, you should ask yourself what you're looking for in a school/district. Everyone's reasons are different.
  5. My fellow June Bride, you were absolutely gorgeous!! A few of your poses are just like the ones we did. I only hope my pics come out as beautiful as yours did!

  7. I feel your pain! I had people, my DH included, asking me the SAME questions over and over again. I answered their questions for a minute but then I just started saying check the website. If people are constantly asking me the same questions, then I refused to continue providing them with the answers because if it was important to them, they would've remembered the answer. As the months went on, my reply to people, including my DH, was "The information is out there. Find it."
  8. Hi Asone, that was me. I just got back from Jamaica and I used TWJ for my wedding ceremony. They were truly wonderful to work with. Very organized and I definitely felt like I received a very personalized experience. They have many different venues you can choose from to get married as well as reception options. You can even customize a package to fit your needs/budget. I don't think you will be disappointed if you decide to use them.
  9. I would ask the bride. I had a guest not only wear white pants but also a white top with all white shoes. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little thrown back because she had on ALL white. If it was just white pants, I probably wouldn't have cared but ALL white....I wasn't upset about it. I mean it didn't ruin my day but I definitely noticed...
  10. We did the sand ceremony after the exchange of rings but before the kiss and announcement of husband and wife. After the sand ceremony, we walked back to our spots, did our first kiss and was announced as husband and wife. Hope this helps.
  11. You have a lot of nice stuff. I may be interested...I just need to see what we need for our AHR. I'm sure you won't have a problem getting rid of anything.
  12. She is very precious! I, also, LOVE the name!
  13. Congrats and welcome to the forum! I'm sure you will have a fabulous wedding...that's where I want to go for my honeymoon.
  14. I didn't do it but I'm not a very traditional type of girl so... I think if you want to, go for it but if not I don't think your marriage is doomed to fail.
  15. I think that's a great idea and I'm sure your fiance will appreciate it! not overstepping at all!
  16. Congrats!! I'm glad everything worked out! Can't wait to see your pics.
  17. You ladies using Floral Fantasies will love them. Their work is great and Rosemarie is the greatest!

The name of the beach was Golden Sands. We didn't find out the location until maybe a month before. They have Gazebo locations but I don't know where they are located. I think they do weddings all over Ocho Rios
  19. I paid for my bridesmaids dresses since they spent so much money to come to Jamaica. It was a surprise and they were very appreciative. They paid for their own alterations though. The dresses were 120.00 I think if I had to choose between a gift and the dress I'd choose the dress.
  20. That dress is gorgeous! I love Demetrios gowns. I'm sure you won't have a problem selling it!
  21. I'm sorry to hear your girls may not be able to make it. I hope it all works out for you. Look on the bright side, at least you will know before you leave. I had to find out my MOH wasn't coming after I was already in Jamaica.
  22. I showed my DH my TTD dress because it wasn't that big of a deal to me. As long as it wasn't my wedding dress I didn't care.
  23. I love the detailing of number 1! Its so unique and I think it goes perfectly with your dress.
