no i dont think you are wrong...like for some people ya it may not be enough time to save the money for the trip...but really the people that seriously want to be there will find a way....the people that want to just complain will find a reason even if it was two years away....do what makes you and FI happy and pick a wedding date that you really want and the people that matter will be there for you im sure

i dont know if its just my computer but only two of the pictures show up....

if they didnt post date the cheque i would cash it now and send them a thank you card right away....otherwise if you wait they may forget they sent it to you and then it wont go through....if they didnt want you to cash it right away it would be post dated for sure

right now Tammy (the host) is doing maintenance on the forum and it will probably be going until Saturday so there will be problems happening but she would like us to be patient

my family isnt paying...and i think most of the brides on here are paying for everything themselves and their parents may help with the dress or something but i am starting to think that tradition is not too true anymore....but hey if you can get your parents to pay thats amazing!

both dresses are gorgeous but go with the one that you love and honestly ive got hips too and i think there is no problem with wearing a tight dress

in Canada today is Rememberance Day for us..its like Veterans Day....but i think the younger generations in both countries dont understand how important it is what happened in those wars and that we should be thankful...its pretty sad my FI went over the PA system at his work (a retail store) and asked if everyone could observe a minute of silence and stop what they were doing and he said not one person stopped or seemed to care....but both my Great-Grandfathers served in World War 2 and i will always be thankful for them our world would be so different if the veterans werent brave many many years ago..THANK YOU! i would never be as brave as they were

thats such a terrible situation she has put you in...but honestly i would not try to talk them out of having a DW if thats what they want also....just plan your wedding and dont worry about her (i know thats easy for me to say) but im kinda going against wanting to argue her and make her change her mind...i know it sucks taht you both will have DWs but just because you chose to have one doesnt mean she cant and i know she said she was going to have her wedding at home but shes allowed to change her mind ....as much as you want your day to be the best day of your life she wants the same for herself so if i was her i would be pretty mad if someone tried to make me feel bad for changing my mind....she will resent you and your FI forever if you dont let her do what she wants for her big day. so honestly just plan your day and whoever makes it makes it and then maybe just have a big party at home when you get back so that you can see all the people that cant make it to mexico.

hmm well maybe just ask them to leave you out of it until it happens because you want it to be a surprise and dont want to get involved at all before the party....im sure they will understand and i am pretty sure it will turn out to be a great time no matter what they plan just sit back and get spoiled lol! thats what being a bride is for

honestly i would say just let them deal with it and im sure they will figure out to make one party not two...otherwise it might turn a little bridezilla-ish. I dont think you are one right now but just let them plan or else you are going to get all upset and not have fun with it....it wont be a "surprise" if you help them plan it from the sidelines KWIM??

yaa my mom crimped it sometimes i guess...its so wierd i had blonde pin-straight hair when i was little and now i have dark brown really curly hair...oh well lol
