Just wanted to say that I am leaving tonight! I think that everything is done; I hope that everything is done! Our plane leaves at 6 AM tomorrow, so Rapid Rover is picking us up at 3 AM tonight. I am so excited, and only you guys will understand! I get to go to Mexico and I get to come home a WIFE!!!

I leave on Friday for my EDSS wedding, and I've been reading over your review whenever I get overwhelmed and stressed out with everything I have left to do. Thank you for this, because of your review, I am always able to smile and look forward to the trip instead of fixating on the details!

Hi Everyone! I'm leaving for EDSS in 1 month and 1 week, and I get married in 44 days. I am so ridiculously excited. My favors just came in- I got parasols for the bridesmaids and moms, fans, cameras, and picture frames for everyone else. my FI and I have decided on what we want for the reception, but we're going to handle most of those details on site- we've heard you get better prices if you wait. I've had my first fitting and there are barely any alterations to be made! My bachelorette is in 2 weeks. My shower is in 3. The only things left on my to do list is to finish the OOT bags, and to shop for clothes to wear for two weeks! ( I lost a ton of weight a few years ago, and the summer wardrobe never caught up, but now I have an excuse!) aaaand Today is the one year anniversary of getting engaged... I even got a text from my sweeting saying "Guess what? I've been engaged to the prettiest girl in the world for a year!" I can't believe he even remembered the date. ACK- so excited I can hardly think!!! I haven't taken a vacation in years, and I've never taken a vacation at a place like this! And I get to get MARRIED! to my Josh!!! I love all of you for letting me be all sqeally- I'm sure my friends are sick of it! --Casey

Hey guys, I'm also an EDSS bride! We're getting married on July 3rd, and leaving on June 27th- it's coming up so quickly! Did any of you do the chocolate fountain dessert party thing? We're thinking of doing a 2 hour cocktail hour and a 2 hour dessert party and skipping a full dinner, because everyone likes appetizers and desserts better anyway.

I'm getting married at EDSS in Mexico. My guests will be paying (AI, per person) 7 nights- 1199 4 nights- 850 3 nights- 650 that includes all taxes, but the flights will be booked individually b/c we're coming from all over. I have no idea how many people will actually come, but I'm crossing my fingers.

I'm getting married on July 3rd at the El Dorado Seaside. So far- we've put down the deposit at the resort, I've bought my dress, and we've sent out our engagement party invites/STD cards. I feel behind- I have a 40 pg brochure from the resort to go through to pick all my options and I've been putting it off!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone! I'm so glad that I found this forum, because I've been so overwhelmed with the planning. One of the reasons Josh and I chose a DW was because I wanted the planning to be easy. Basically, I'd love to show up with a dress and I'll be happy no matter what, but everyone we know keeps making a huge deal out of Everything!! And the truth of it is, I don't even know what questions I should be asking or what I should be doing!!! I am working with a TA and WC through www.theweddingholiday.com and they have been amazing so far. I'm just stressing about not knowing what I should be stressing about- if that even makes any sense. So I guess my question to all of you would be, what did you wish you knew at the beginning of all of this? What questions do you wish you had asked, and what advice do you have for someone who is just getting started? (in case it helps, we have booked the EDSS for next june 27- july 5, but that's it.) thanks again for everything!
