  1. As far as the link, obviously search the site for the month you are getting married. I saved it for the month I was getting married
  2. I'm getting married in march and we are starting at 6. My WC assures me we will still have enough lighting. I did find this website, hope it helps: 2009 March Sunrise and Sunset - Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico in Mexico
  3. Sure! I spoke with Jesus at Franc Gole. Their phone number is 011-52-322-222-9919. I am also doing a trial run the day before for $600 pesos. I dont know what day you are getting married but because they are opening just for us on a Sunday, I have to have 6 other people wanting service at minimum. They did say that was not necessary if my wedding was any other day. Hope this helps!
  4. Oh wow, what is the tour called or the company you are doing it with? Cindy

He is charging the bridesmaids $500 pesos for hair. Hope this helps!
  6. Congrats on the engagement! I am also getting married in Puerto Vallarta but this March! Good luck with all your planning!
  7. Personally I wouldn't. For me, it is important for my family to be there, specially my parents. My FI pushed back our day from Nov. to March so that it would coincide with my brother's spring break because I wanted to make sure he was there. But ultimately it's up to you. I hope everything works out!
  8. Has anyone done the Tequila Six Pack Tour? I was considering it, but wanted to know if it was lame spending 11 hours on a tour. Any comments would be great! Tequila Six Pack Tour in Puerto Vallarta
  9. You can also search about swimming with the dolphins. I noticed there was a few companies in Puerto Vallarta and one in Nuevo Vallarta
  10. I've never heard of it, what kind of restaurant is it? How did you find out about it? I'm also in the hunt for a welcome dinner location!
  11. I finally got things squared away with my WC. It was hard getting him on the ball but thank God that he finally is! I ws able to speak to him for over an hour today concerning all the details in decoration, music, etc. I had been getting so stressed because he had nothing done with 2 months to go!! I feel so much better now that things are rolling along. The only daunting task is trying to find a site for our welcome dinner that will not break the bank. I thought that having a destination wedding in Mexico would mean that you'd find cheaper prices but I have found the complete opposite. The restaurants that I've found are owned by Americans and feel like they need to charge in American dollars and upscale American prices. It's beyond me!
  12. Good luck! I agree with the earlier post, ask some family or your bridesmaids.
  13. I could be wrong, but isnt satin the wrong material to wear if you sweat a lot? I don't know if that is right, but I know that I stayed away from Satin dresses because I knew I'd be sweating and didn't want the stains on my dress. I do love all your dresses, I love the Demetrios dresses! If you want to stick to the spanish feel you could also try San Patrick dresses. 14. Wow I am so glad I read this post, I was about to throw money down the drain with the butterflies!!! I would have been so bummed if it didn't come out perfectly! Thanks for all those who replied to the original post!
  15. I'm from Texas and my fiance is from West Virginia. Most of my family is attending our destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta and a few of his friends and family are coming to Mexico for our wedding. Because his family is in WV, it was a lot harder to get to Mexico so we thought about having our legal ceremony in WV with his family and then having the ceremony in Mexico with mine. I'm not sure if I want to wear the actual dress I'm wearing in Mexico, although I guess it wouldn't hurt to wear it twice. I guess my question is who pays for the wedding in WV, I would assume his parents but they haven't offered.
  16. I really like the dress as-is, but if you feel like you need a little something extra it's up to you. I love it though!

I messed up my hair by dying it black a year ago and it hasn't totally grown out!
  19. Well we hired this guy that is from the River Cafe group, his name is Eduardo. He's been pretty easy to work with and pretty good on finding prices. I haven't seen than anyone on BDW has used him so it makes me a little scared but at this point I just need to hope he knows what he's doing.
  20. Hello there! I will be getting married March 15 2009 in Nuevo Vallarta at Casa Salamandra. I'm a little behind on the invitations and am sending those out this week (I did send my save the date cards a long while ago). I have my WC working on the florals and decorations as well as the catering details. I have scheduled my hair stylist and baker, although I have no idea what I am going to have them do! It feels like I have so much left to do and so little time! Good luck with your planning!
  21. Well they required that we stay there for a week and then charged an event fee. After the wedding, my family will be staying there for a week so I guess it worked out. I saw Lori's pictures a while back and was struck with awe! I hope my wedding comes out that nice and that our guests have a great time!
  22. I guess I need to consider going barefoot. I think I'd have to get my dress altered for that...
