  1. Congrats! Welcome to the forum! We are both ROR brides!
  2. Do any of you ladies watch General Hospital?
  3. Wow..... I don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't watched the results yet tonight... but I am so disappointed
  4. Since you are just 3 wks away, you may want to call, just to get immediate answers. I hope everything works out! If you had previously booked things, and they sent you emails confirming, I would print those out and take them with u to ensure u get what u were promised.
  5. I am a huge Eagles fan... and ever since they got engaged Hank was not the same player! His stats dropped off at the end of last season.... Hope he improves for this coming season!
  6. I saw bits and pieces... from what I saw, looks like it will be a good show... Kind of like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, but for weddings. I like how they really involve the friends and family.
  7. Oh forgot to say... I don't like Asuka either. That comment she made to Vitolio about not being attracted to him and that's why she couldn't get "into it" during week one! What a b****! Vitolio is such a cutie!
  8. Last night disappointed me a little. The first week started off with a bang with so many great performances... this week just didn't do it for me. Maybe it was the particular styles of dance that were done. There were a few routines that I didn't think were all that great as far as the choreography... the dancers really can't make bad choreography look good. I love the married Hispanic couple that do the hip hop choreography... I definitely missed them on this episode! Lil' C works on my last nerve! I am glad that male choreographer set him straight on the whole "bended knees" issue! Half the time I was thinking what the heck is he talking about! Thank goodness he won't be there next week! And Mary.... don't even get me started! I have to DVR the show and watch it later so I can fast forward through her screaming!!! The only one I even listened to was Nigel. I hope Phillip doesn't go home!

I am going to Dunn's to do mine a few days after the wedding. Michael told me that I would need to book him for at least 2 hrs for this. I tried to get away with just one! On the best images website, there is a breakdown of how much each package cost and how much additional hours are. Hope this helps!
  11. Frank13- I found a pic online of a cake that I liked and just sent it to them and asked them if they could replicate it. So, if your friend does a cake that you really like, you may want to send a pic of it to the bakery in Jamaica. Initially I was going to do different flavors for each layer and they said they would be able to do that, but to keep costs down, we just went with the same flavor for both tiers. They were pretty good about answering my MANY questions!
  12. Quick question about Sheila's Bakery. We decided to use them for our cake and the lady emailed me with the price and stated that we could just pay Chandlyn when we get to the resort. She has a pic of what I want and replied that they could replicate the cake. She didn't give me any kind of confirmation number or order slip. Is this how they usually work? Should I ask for some type of confirmation or can I trust that based on our emails, the cake will arrive on my wedding day? Thanks! Courtney
  13. As far as I know, Michael is just at the Riu in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. They may have a photoshop at each Riu, but just different photographers. I would check with your resort to be sure.
  14. If you have any questions about the photog packages, I would email Michael thru his website. He responded to my email quickly and was very helpful. I am also going to do the TTD at Dunn's and initially was just going to book him for 1 hr, but he said with travel and all I would need to book him for 2, so keep the 2 hr time for Dunn's. I am going to have a good friend take pics of me getting ready to try to save some money. I hope this info helps!
  15. Use the search button and type in Plantation. You will get a lot of info that way. All of your questions should be answered there and there are pics of the Plantation as well. The cost is $55/pp. Yes, you can have dj/dancing there as well. The DJ is extra or you can use your Ipod. Hope this helps!
  16. Dr. Brainfreeze: Thanks again! U have been like my wedding coordinator!
  17. I have come to realize that some people just won't send the RSVP card back. I have several guests that have already booked their trip, but never sent me an RSVP. It is frustrating b/c not all of my guests booked through my TA, so it is hard to keep track of who is actually coming. Sometimes people don't realize that it does cost extra to include an RSVP card with your invitation and that it wasn't put in there just to look pretty. You are actually supposed to send it back. Sorry... just had to vent a little!
  18. Ok... I have another question about the set-up. I am under the impression that the little white lights wrapped around the poles are included in the $55/pp since I have seen them in everyone's pics that has had the poolside dinner. How about candles on the tables? I have seen mostly what look like white votives. Where these included? If so, how many per table? I am trying to decide if I need to bring candles with me.
  19. Welcome to the forum! I am also an ROR bride! I second what lisaloo wrote. Search under the Jamaica forum and you will find TONS of info and pics!
  20. Glad I could help! If you search under the Mexico link, you will get about 20+ posts on that resort. Good luck with your planning!
  21. Sorry that previous link didn't work properly. This one should be correct: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t25638 Hope this helps!
  22. Here is a link to some info: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29025 If you look under the riviera/maya cancun link under mexico and do a search you will find alot of info. Excellence Cancun is also known as Excellence Riviera Maya, so check under both names. I was there last Sept on vacation and the resort is wonderful! The service is the best I have received! U will have a great time!
  23. I think this link would help with your bonfire questions. About the 3rd or 4th post down contains a link to a review of a wedding that had a bonfire. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29025 I don't think that the number of guests matters as far as choosing which site to use. You could do either and I think it would be great with 20 people. Seagrape is an open air bar and from what past brides have said, you can decorate it. Hope this helps!
  24. You looked absolutely gorgeous! Your hair, flower and veil were very elegant! Your review was fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
