  1. Thanks for sharing! I was really looking forward to your reception pics! The set up was beautiful! All the extra lights u had really enhanced the location. I am glad that overall everything went well! What flavor was your cake? Was that the smallest size cake that Sheila offers? When did she deliver the cake? How much did she charge for delivery? I know that u bought your own Ipod docking station, but did Chandlyn have an Ipod docking station that u could use during the wedding ceremony and reception? Congratulations!

If the cake is really important to you, maybe you can email her for references. Thanks for the info! Did you decide to use her, or are u going with what your reception site offers?
  3. Have u contacted Chandlyn to see if there is something similar that the resort has that u could use to hang the rose balls on?
  4. Does anyone know of any other bakers besides Selena Wong? I am sure that her cakes are fabulous, but I am not trying to break the budget. That delivery price is crazy!! I am probably going to go with a more traditional cake, so it does not have to be a bakery that specializes in rum cakes.
  5. I plan to get some small blue mountain coffee bags and mini bottles of jamaican rum when i get to Jamaica to put in my welcome bags. Several other brides have said there is a grocery store not too far from ROR where all of these items can be purchased for a reasonable price. I may also get some local snack foods as well, depending on the cost and how many people end up coming.

How far in advnace did you book Seagrape for the reception? Thanks for your help. I would send Chandlyn an email asap to book the seagrape. People book months in advance since there could be 3 weddings on the same day. I am getting married in Sept and requested the Poolside back in Jan. U can always change your mind. You don't pay for anything until u are in Jamaica and meet with Chandlyn in person.
  7. You may not be able to carry food into the country. I know when I went to Mexico last year I had a bag of chips from the plane. Customs agents were walking around the airport in Cancun with dogs, sniffing people's luggage for drugs/food. They made me throw my chips away before I could go through customs. I am not sure if Jamaica would be the same... Definitely check into it.
  8. Thank you for sharing your review. My fiance will be happy to read a review from a groom's point of view. It sounds like u had a great time! I am happy to know that Chandlyn has an Ipod station. I was going to buy one! That is one less thing to pack!
  9. Thanks for sharing! I am thinking about going with them too!
  10. Is anyone else irritated that Audrina even entertained the thought of hooking up with Brody Does she not remember that LC used to date him?? Rule #1: U don't hook up with someone that your friend as hooked up with. Didn't she throw a hissy fit when she thought LC hooked up with Justin?? It wasn't even true and she was pissed! I think the saline in her fake boobs has drained to her brain...
  11. For those of you that have done DIY fake flowers, was the savings worth the stress of doing them yourself? Was the savings that significant? I am trying to decide if I want to just order stems and supplies and do it myself, or if I should just suck it up and pay the extra money to let the pros handle it. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
  12. Congratulations! Thanks for your honest review! I love your dress!
  13. I think that Plantation is only if you are planning to do dinner and the reception there. That is $55/pp. I don't think anyone has just had a reception there. I guess you could always ask if that is an option. The firedancers might be nice on the beach, so you could do your reception at the seagrape.
  14. Enjoy every second! I can't wait to read your review and see your pics!
  15. Definitely let your FI handle this! It's his mother, so he needs to let her know that is not ok! Why does she want to wear white? You could suggest that she wear the same color as your bridal party. This may make her feel more included and get her out of wearing white. I hope everything works out!
  16. Your flowers look fabulous! You did a wonderful job! If u don't mind me asking, how much did the supplies end up costing?
  17. There is a chance that you could get the wedding date and time that you really want. Send an email to the wedding coordinator, Chandlyn, and let her know of your preference. Whenever people cancel or don't book, they reopen the dates. This happened for us.
  18. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!

  20. Your pro pics are absolutely stunning! The colors are amazing and you guys look fantastic! Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to see more!
  21. Your flowers are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! I see that today is your wedding day! Hope you are enjoying every moment!
  22. I am getting married in Sept at ROR. My immediate family and some of my friends are paying approx $850 - 900 for 4 nights (all inclusive) with flight included. I really wanted to keep it under $1000. I think it also depends when they book. If they procrastinate and wait until the last minute, flights are going to be more expensive. I had to realize that I can't worry too much about this. If people want to come, they are going to come. It is also a bad economy, so you have to keep that in mind as well.
  23. Does anyone know if the white linens on the tables are included as part of the poolside set-up, or do you have to pay extra for them? Also, are the white chairs included, or do you have to pay extra for them like u do for your ceremony?
