  1. I would shop for all of the little things when you get there. Right near the airport there is a costco and a wal-mart that would be great to grab sunscreen, bug repelant, chapstick, mac. nuts, coffee, bottled water and some sweets. This is what I am going to do when I get there! Best of luck and have fun!
  2. We are going to plan the following activities for our guests: -Welcome BBQ @ Kamaole Nalu (condo in Kihei) -Snorkeling trip to Molokini (I have been doing this since I was a little kid and I still love it!) -Sunset cocktail cruise (any suggestions? went on a dinner cruise once and it was awful- hoping to find a quality cruiseline) -Brunch after wedding day at Grand Wailea, then lounge by the pool all day! I want to plan more, but we will only be on Maui for 6 days and I think with all of the wedding preparations there will not be time for daily activities with everyone. I am going to suggest the drive to Hana & 7 sacred pools (check to make sure they are open, in May they were not due to heavy rainfall), Ziplines, Helicopter rides, and Haaleakela sunrise or bike down hill. I wish I could do everything with our guests, but we will be off to Kauai for the HM!! Make sure if you do the drive to Hana that you stop at the black sand beaches, watch the windsurfers, and make sure you drive past Hana to see the 7 sacred pools. They are an amazing site and if they are open you can go swimming in the pools. The water is cold because it comes down from the volcano so be ready for it!
  3. Hi Kelly, I have booked my May wedding at the White Orchid Beach House. I fell in love with this location and so far I am really happy with it. With this location you have to use White Orchid Weddings as your coordinators, and like the other private estates EVERYTHING has to be rented. It is definitely starting to cost a lot more then i had hoped, but I just have to keep reminding myself how beautiful our wedding and reception will be. If you have around $12K (on the low end) to spend on a 30-40 person wedding then use a private estate, if you want to keep the budget lower then I suggest using seawatch like some of the other brides. If you have any specific questions on dealing with WOW so far just PM and I will be happy to share my experience so far! Happy planning!
  4. My FI and I too do not want a wedding party, I have one sister and his sister has passed away. I know I need to have my sister involved but I cannot figure out what to have her do aside from stand up there with me, which I dont want. Any suggestions? THANKS!!!
