  1. Geez, what a bummer! Glad they are able to order another dress for you!
  2. I love this idea! I'm not having an AHR, but I may just have to use it for the OOT bags!

  4. I just received samples of my invitations and response cards! I love how they have turned out. I used Etsy.com and found Ginger from Etsy :: beyonddesign :: Life is too short to be ordinary.. She was amazing! I highly recommend her. She created several different designs based on my suggestions - hence, the Semi-DIY. The invitations are printed on Opal Shimmer paper, but there was also the option of linen paper. My camera didn't quite capture the colors - they are much more brilliant in person. This is what the final product looks like:
  5. Do you all remember these? Fortune Fish | Fortune Teller Miracle Fish | Fortune Telling Fish I thought these would be a cute idea for OOT bags, and they are super cheap! Just thought I'd share....
  6. We are registered at Williams-Sonoma, Crate and Barrel, and Target. I only wanted to do two places, but we just couldn't decide on just two:)
  7. Ooo, I can't wait to try it! Sounds so good! Thanks for sharing!
  8. If you are planning an activity, are you paying for that activity or would you expect the guests to pay?
  9. I started with my bridesmaids dresses - I chose fuchsia because I love the color pink & I thought it would look amazing against the blue water and green palm trees. Then I think I am going to add orange and possibly some lime green and blue accents. I'm not 100% sure. It might be too busy, but I haven't ironed everything out just yet. I want vibrant tropical colors!

You have to try and find a way to just let it go and move on...it's hard to see those you love make choices that from the outside seem so wrong or misguided but you really can't support her and judge her decision at the same time so you kinda have to pick which you would rather do...judge or support. BUT just to throw my two sense in on getting back with the boyfriend...the first thing that came to my mind is she had an abortion because she thought it was the only way he would get back together with her (being that it said he didn't want kids and all). That may not be the real reason why...but it just popped in my head. Again though...it all goes back to judging or supporting...sometimes you can't help but judge but you have to decide which direction is most important to you! Good luck. I agree! Regardless of why she had the abortion, abortion is not an easy decision. Everyone thinks it is, but for many women and girls it is a very difficult decision & one they have to live with for the rest of their lives. Adoption is as well - imagine carrying a child for 9 months and then having to say goodbye to it, it may feel like that child has "died". Ultimately, this was a choice only SHE could make. Imagine if this child had come into the world, she would have been a mother of a 5 year old and an infant, and the father would most likely have been MIA. What kind of life would that have been for her and those children. I'm hoping that she will learn from these experiences & hopefully a family member will have the talk about birth control!
  11. Wow! Everything looks amazing! I love the idea of incorporating coffee throughout!!!!!
  12. Everything looked amazing, Yari! What a beautiful wedding day! Your hard work paid off. Congratulations!
  13. Score! The perfect dress & on sale! Woo hoo! Can't wait to see the pics.
  14. I would say that if you don't want to invite her, you shouldn't. However, if you feel like any sort of friendship in the future, you might want to. The likelihood of her attending seems pretty slim, but the gesture might be nice. So, if you're not worried about the friendship, don't feel obligated to invite her.
  15. I would also recommend a rotary trimmer/cutter (Friskars) and the perforator blade insert. I bought my 110 lb white cardstock from Wal-mart for $6! I got the ticket holder paper from Office Depot (first tried paperpresentation.com - they lost my original order!). I recommend double-sided tape for sealing the short edge of the ticket holder, and cuticle scissors for the nooks-and-cranies. Fonts, I found on dafont.com (wm trees, wm aquatic, hibiscus, sc by the sea, tropicana, etc.). Hope this helps! Have fun!
  16. Try this link http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t23711 I think you can buy "magnet paper" at Staples. Or, you could always use vistaprint.com, and have them print them for cheap!
  17. Welcome to the forum! Have fun planning!
  18. These are great! I am totally going to use this for some DIY projects of my own! Thank you! Yours look fantastic!
