It’s now my turn to post my planning thread! I have been on BDW since last August and I have looked forward to seeing all the new planning threads as they’re posted. I think I have borrowed, was inspired or stolen ideas from each one! Thanks to everyone before me for all of the great ideas and templates!!!! I was going to put this together 2 weeks ago before we left on 4/29 to the Riviera Maya, but all the craziness broke out about the pig poison in Mexico and I got side-tracked….anyway, we got back Thursday night and had the time of our lives (I will be posting my review and pics soon!), so I thought I would get this posted now! I will also post any templates I have in case they can help another bride!!! Here we go…… Rich & I on our first date The evening Rich proposed. He took me to Bob’s Steak & Chops House in a limo. After a great dinner, he got down on bended knee and asked me the best question ever! A couple of our engagement pics: Our engagement party frame that the guests signed: My ring: FI had it custom made and I LOVE LOVE it! Our Save the Date magnets and luggage tags we had made. We just got home a few hours ago and everything was perfect!!! We were at the Azul Sensatori in the Riviera Maya and not one single case of the swine flu there! Not many people know that in Mexico City, where all this started is so far away...it takes 24 hours in a car to get to Mexico City from Cancun! I will be posting our pics, my review as well as my planning thread very soon!!!
-
Hi everyone!!! Well, we just got home and let me tell you.....I had such BDW withdrawls while I was gone! I just kept thinking about everyone worrying about this dang flu! I will post a review with tons of pics later (as well as my planning thread since I didn't get to it due to all the swine flu stress)! We left on 4/29 and returned about 3 hours ago. If there are any of you still debating on moving or cancelling your wedding......DON'T!!!!! There is nothing to be afraid of! Most people aren't aware that Mexico City (where the majority of this started) is 24 hours driving from Cancun! It is so far away and there still hasn't been any cases reported in the Riviera Maya!!!! Anyway, our wedding and vacation was more than I had even hoped for!!! I truly had the wedding of my dreams! I'll share more once I unpack! lol

We leave in the morning and most of our guests leave on Friday. Hopefully they still decide to go....if not, I'll be sad but I feel like it's too late to really worry about it! One of my BM's is thinking about not going now....we shall see!

I've honestly been waiting for you to get back! lol Thanks for the tip!

We leave the day after tomorrow and we are going no matter what! We have entirely too much time, strss money, etc invested in this wedding... there is no way we are cancelling.....especially when you can take Tamiflu if you start to feel bad! Hopefully everyone else planning a vacation during the time we are there cancels so we can have the whole resort to ourselves! haha

We leave in 2 days and I am very worried! Everyone keeps calling us and asking if we're still going....UGH! Stupid swine flu!!!! I just hope we don't have people cancel at the last minute! I just tell them to see if their Dr. will give them Tamiflu as a preventitive.....even though as of yet, there are no cases in Cancun or in the resort areas!

OK....I really need to calm down and breathe!!!! Over the past 10 months I know I have planned and planned wanting the perfect wedding and I have also bought and bought....anyway, I am doing all of my wedding stuff packing and I have 14....yes, you read that correctly 14 bags full of wedding stuff! I haven't even started packing my clothes or FI's clothes yet....oh yeah, let's add the wedding dress and TTD that I'm planning on carrying on the plane! I am stressing since the airline charges $75 per bag (You get 2 each and then they start charging)!!!! I have been calling my family, MOH, friends, SIL, etc....to ask if they can all carry an extra bag or 2 with them! I need a drink and a bubble bath! lol The good news is that I took tons of pics of everything as I was packing so I should have lots to show on my planning thread!

I bought them in the store, but here's the link: David's Bridal - Dyeable platform with ornament ring detail.
