Maybe I am being selfish because I want his family there but if they really had a legitimate reason such as they can not afford it we would completely understand but they can all afford this. In fact my FI's mother said she is afraid to drive like some people are afraid to fly and the thought of driving down in Feb and again in April ( because they go down for the whole month of April) made her sick. I say skip the April trip and make it in Feb... but then again that would not be convient for the sister. ARGH!!!! I am ready to scream and I have no one to scream!! I have tried to just brush this off and say oh well you are going to miss a great time but it really hurts me that they do not want to be a part of our special day. Sorry for all the complaining... I just needed to get this out! Aww..I'm sorry! that sucks!! I feel your pain....We had a similar situation with my brother. I, Too, Also called everyone who was important to see if they would be able to come, BEFORE we decided on this wedding and they were all like, we're there, no problem....And of all the people who I figured would tell me they couldn't afford it, My brother wasn't one of them....But..He and his family aren't coming. But Ya know...I've come to realize that those who don't come...Just don't rely understand how truly wonderful a Destination Wedding in....and they miss out on the experience and For those that do make it, I think they will walk away with a whole new image of what a Wedding can be like. So, Yes, I know your mad and it does stink, especially for your FI...But this day is about you and him...No one else....So try to move past it and continue to enjoy your planning and Etc.....

Yea..The more I think about it..The more I want it to be casual and wearing my dress would not make it casual! hahaha...However..I can probably get a nice, Cheaper white dress to wear that day. I think waiting will be our best bet. Thanks agian Ladies :-)

I totally think it's Dylan! However..I ahve read that Both Luck Perry & Jason Priesly said they weren't coming back...So Maybe...Just Maybe, they will Shock us and she hooked up with Steve and it's his kid!! She has history with him....They had just broke up when 90210 originally started. I think they are setting us up...Just my Opinion...Either way..I am loving it :-) I also recently got back into One Tree Hill...I am loving them all grown up! :-)

I was so excited to see you post!! I am loving all your pics!! It sounds like everything was really great. I'm surprised to hear the DJ wasn't good...I've heard good things about him, But I like to go on first hand experiences. And also the construction info was a really good tip....especially for those who are leaving soon. I did want to ask you about the Jr. Jacuzzi Suite...Is the Jacuzzi on the Balcony?

Hi Everyone....I need some advice and or wisedom from my fellow DW brides!!! So our original plan was to have the AHR the weekend after we got back. We wanted to have it all paid for, this way we would only have to show up and celebrate with the rest of our friends and family who couldn't come to Mexico. We don't really have a "Budget" per se...It's more like, We know what we can afford and what we can't. So anyway...Because there were a limited number of days in June at Dreams, we had to pick the 24th, Which means the weekend after we get back is the 4th of July..so no reception that weekend....Ok Fine...I picked The weekend after that, which is July 11th. Last week, Joe & I went and sat with a local venue that we have been to many times. My Cousins wife's family is good friends with them and I was sure to drop there name :-) They gave us an AWESOME price of $65 per head which included an amazing assortment of food, for both cocktail hour and dinner...Plus a sweet table, plus I told him it was a tropical theme and he just started telling me all these things he could do as far as decorating, which sounded exactly like what I had in mind. He was also throwing in a Martini Bar, but since this was tropical, he was making it half Martini, half Pina Coloda. In addition to all that, I had my pick of any color linens. All for that price and since we knew my Cousins wife's family, he waived all tax and gratuity, with the promise that we took good care of his servers that night (which of course we will) OK...The problem....Although I think that price is fabulous...I have 140 people on my list....Thats over 9,000...Just for that....Not including my favors. I'm just not sure we can swing that, PLUS have the wedding of our Dreams in Mexico. I mean, this is why we cancelled our, Already booked "Traditional" wedding we originally planned...It was too much money for one day. & I don't want to cut corners on my Wedding in Mexico since that is our real wedding....Just so I can have this party. On the other hand, we're really excited for the AHR and we really want it at this place. So of course the wheels in my head started turning and I was thinking that maybe we can have our AHR on our original Wedding Date, which was Sept 26, 2009. That would give us plenty more time to save....However...I think that's too long after the wedding. I feel like, what's the point? what if My dress doesn't fit me anymore and what if everyone is so tired of hearing about our wedding by then...and i'm just so confused!! Can you guys let me know what your doing for your AHR and how long your waiting? We want the AHR, but there is no way we can pull that off and still do everything we planned in Mexico.....But I feel like having it 3 months later is too late and would it look silly if I put my wedidng dress back on for that? I really need some advice here!! I'm getting upset and feeling stressed over money. Before I started planning this AHR i felt like a weight lifted off of my shoulders as far as money and now, it's back again :-( (Sorry so long!)

Wow...You guys have ALOT more then me done!! I am a June 24,2009 Bride :-) I really just decided to have a DW, so I guess that's why I am a little behind with all the planning :-) So far we have our date booked with our wedding package and By next weekend we will have our room booked. We started looking locally for our AHR...However...Every place I love is a little over my budget and I am actually getting a little upset over it. Other then that.....Our STD's just went out on Friday and I have thousands of Idea's...Now I just have to get working on all of it!! :-) Very Exciting!! :-0

Hi! I worked on these for about 2-3 weeks and we finally got them out on Friday morning. I'm so happy with how they turned out and I couldn't have done it without the help from this forum :-) I have to thank Becks for her Templates and Alyssa for giving me the info on the Colored Translucent envelopes (which I LOVE) I also got my design ideas from a bunch of different girls and I'm sorry that i don't know who everyone was....i should have wrote it down! Anyway...here they are......:-)
