Friends engagement- am I overreacting?

I'm worried about the same thing -- that my FBIL will propose to his gf at our wedding. It's so irritating because it's family and not friends and ofcourse, it'll be made a big deal. My attitude will be to just go along with it b/c we'll still have our special day -
I just searched on the internet through expedia, orbitz, etc. for prices around the time I would want to go -- to give an idea of what the costs would be. Turns out I found cheaper deals than our TA and she was able to match them.

omg, i'm so glad to hear that i'm not the only one with an uninvolved FI. I keep reading about how others are so involved and mine could care less - just wants to know where, when, how to look, what to say -- typical man! Oh well, I'd probably want to kill him if he gets too involved. Can't live w/em, can't live w/out em!

Thanks, Suman. So nice to meet a bride who has done an indian DW. The mendhi is my biggest issue right now. But then again, I feel like I'm going to have 20 luggages to carry all the little things needed for an indian wedding to Cancun. How did you keep your mendhi dark for 5 days I'm worried if I go into the ocean, it will lighten!

I'm worried about that too so I did a weather search for the Riviera Maya in June - our ceremony is at 4pm and I'm still afraid it will be too hot!

Yes, I went down there last year but that was before we decided to have a DW...so I didn't bother to look. I know they do henna tattoos down there but that's different from regular henna (and I don't want to take the risk of getting black henna---which is terrible!!!). At this point, we're thinking of just getting henna from here and flying down with it.

I was there not too long ago and went swimming with whale sharks. I have a spreadsheet with comparisons for all the companies that offer this. PM if you're interested and I'll email it to you. I've had friends do the zip line out there too and they said it was fun.
