  1. anyone know of a furniture registry? We have the house and no furniture!
  2. Glad I ran across this thread. Count me in. Live in Plano.
  3. My FI just got this ring yesterday - he loved it! I too wanted a gold ring for him but at the end of the day, he has to wear it - so why not get something he'll want and love to wear. The jeweler did take a file to the ring and showed us that it doesn't get any scratches -- which was great for my FI whereas the other types of rings do get scratches over the years.
  4. I just found a link to the website for the Playa del Carmen Taxis. Click on "Tarifas de Servicios" at the bottom of the left side menu (or click the little American flag in the lower right corner of the page to see the page in English).
  5. Carie - thanks for the review!! Any tips for future brides at Barcelo? Also, would love to see your pictures!
  6. Don't know if this will help, but worth a try: Riviera Maya Map | Map of Riviera Maya, Mexico http://www.bookit.com/mapcodes/mexico/mexico-map.jpg http://media.expedia.com/media/conte...ico_right2.gif http://www.mexicounlimited.com/image.../MexicoMap.jpg
  7. Here's a description on the difference b/w the beach/caribe, tropical/colonial and palace: When you stay at the Barcelo Maya Palace, you have access to all aspects of the other 4 resorts. The same is not true from the other end up. When staying at the Maya Beach or the Maya Caribe these two resorts share amenities and restaurants. You can go one level up and use the beach area, pool area, beach restaurants and bars at the Maya Colonial and Maya Tropical Beach. But you do not have access to all parts of these two resorts (including the Buffet and À la carte Restaurants) and you do not have access to the Maya Palace. The Maya Colonial and Maya Tropical Beach are sister resorts and they share amenities, pools and restaurants, you can go to the lower resorts, but guests cannot go up a level to the Maya Palace and use their restaurants or amenities. Another big difference between the Maya Palace and the other 4 Barcelo resorts is access to the à la carte (specialty) restaurants. At all 5 resorts reservations are required as well as tickets. At the Maya Palace you have a ticket for every night of your stay. However, at the other 4 Barcelo resorts you have limited tickets depending upon the length of your stay: I don't know about onsite photogs b/c we're bringing our own from home. But try to do a search on this forum for photogs, there's a lot in that area.
  8. if you like snorkeling, the palace has the best beach for that. If you like swimming in the water, the beach/caribe side is the best for that.
  9. Ladies – sorry, I’ve been swamped and haven’t had a chance to update this thread. Unfortunately, I have decided NOT to order from this company. Their complete incompetency (from not knowing shipping costs to not responding to emails to computers being down every time you call) makes me too nervous to order from them! I am disappointed because I really wanted this to be an addition to the OOT bag but better safe than sorry in this case.
  10. Hi Carie - did they show you available locations for your ceremony and reception? What about the chair sash colors? And decor for the ceremony? Also, attached are the 2009 packages - I've seen a few requests around the forum for them. Barcelo Maya 2009 Packages.pdf
  11. Thanks for the review heather. Any tips for future barcelo maya brides??
  12. got ours from david's bridal - but they were pricey!
  13. Welcome aboard from another Palace bride.
