Yeah!!! My wedding date has been confirmed. April 16 2009. Wow that doesnt give me a whole lot of time. I was wondering if anyone getting married within a few days of my day wants to go in on a photographer or videographer. Im wondering if we use the same outside photographer if we could split their stay cost. I am on a tight budget so a private reception is pretty much out of the question. Anyone else not doing a "formal" reception? I'm not even sure what kind of arrangements to make!! in respose to your qustion: We are not having a private reception. We are having a big reception when we get home. My thoughts are that its silly to pay for food and drinks when everything is supposed to be all inclusive. Its not that I'm being cheap or even that we have a budget for our wedding its just that we thought we could all just do the free dinner at one of the restuarants and then go to one of the bars after for drinks and dancing. But my friends and family are very fun and easy to please and can find the fun in almost any situation. That may not work for others. The bars all look so fun and beatiful. If anything we may decide to do an appetizers and drinks immediatly following so guests have passed apps, champaign or pina colatas to sip on while we do photos. I think that is one polite way to do it. Maybe I am missing something, my fiance and I talked about it and it came down to this: Whats the difference between the private reception and just having the included drinks and dinner? Walking about 10 feet to the bar and about $10,000 dollars.

If the DJ cant speak english and you have to have a friend be the mc then why are any of you considering paying for one? Wouldnt it be safer using an ipod? Am I missing something?

I have been on other websites and have seen warnings for girls selling or buying wedding gowns online. Apparently girls selling their dresses have received bad or stolen checks and usually the purchasers are men from overseas. That being said, I am a very intelligent woman and would like to think I would never fall victim to such a scam. I also would not purchase a dress online from anywhere outside the USA or Canada. I am however wondering how is everyone else going about this process? Are you writting/accepting checks? Not everyone has paypal as an option. Does anyone have any advice about what to do or not do when buying a dress (used or new) online. Does anyone have bad experiences they might want to share to help others so they can avoid problems/scams? Thanks.

Can we start a thread for brides who may want to sell their wedding dreses? I dont know if that is legal for this site but I think it may be helpful. I am just starting to look for dresses and have found a few that I like, out of curiosity I started looking for them online. I thought this might be a great place for brides selling and looking for destination dresses to look. Or if anyone has recommendations of resale or discount designer/couture dresses?

Does anyone happen to have any information about the photographers that are listed with Azul of which we would not have to pay the $500 fee. I think that there are 4-5 listed. But i havent really heard anyone talk about them.

Is anyone comfortable sharing a breakdown of expenses and fees for their wedding/reception at the sensatori? (flowers, photographer, reception, etc...) I am still trying to decide if this is in my budget and I know there are many fees for little details. I tried emailing the resort contact about a week ago and I havent heard a response yet. I'm so happy you posted this. I read this same email a few weeks ago. I try to use my reusable bags as much as possible. I have vowed to never use plastic bags again. If I forget my green bags everything goes right in the cart no bags! I have even made suggestions at target and local grocery stores to use paper bags and eliminate plastic all together. Every little bit helps
