We had the Gold Menu and we chose option 3 (the one with the pork and fish for main course). I didn't like the pork so much, but the fish was good. The appetizers were all really good. Overall the food was great, and the resort food is also good at all the restaurants. Don't worry! We also wanted to add some appetizers for the table for everyone to share and that worked out great. As for the cake, we had a marble cake with peach and mango inside. It was white 3 layer cake with coral ribbon and coral roses. Beautiful!

I promised a while back to write about our wedding experience at ERC. Well, it has been about a month since we got married, and I have to say that I could never imagine to have a more beautiful and perfect wedding. All of the ERC brides- STOP WORRYING NOW! GET EXCITED! Veronica Ozon is honestly the nicest and most amazing wedding coordinator ever. She took care of everything, down to the smallest detail. Our 30 guests were amazed and we had the funnest party until the wee-hours of the night. I will publish a few photos here as well. If anyone has questions- don't hesitate to ask!

-Chair sashes Satin Sash It is the cheapest here, about $1/per sash and they are pretty. I ordered satin ones in Coral. -Our reception will be in the Foyer, that is the area near the lobby, it is completely private and closed off. It is an open-air terrace with a view of the beach, but is under a roof so doesn't matter if it rains (God forbid, of coarse You CAN decide on the reception place before, just ask Veronica to send you images of different reception places, but most people have their reception in the Foyer. -No, Veronica is not charging us to hang the paper lanterns. -As for seating chart, I made one myself, since I know the table configuration. We will just have one long table for 30, rather than a few round ones. We will give her the seating chart and the place cards so that she puts them on the table according to the chart. -The rose petals I will use to decorate the aisle for the ceremony, as well as the reception table -Table centerpieces we are doing at the resort, I dont know how you can bring fresh flowers yourself?? We are just going to have some flower arrangements, as well as candles (small and large) and rose petals. You have a whole year until your wedding- take it easy, relax, all of these things you can plan within 3 months. So dont worry!

Yes, we are bringing pretty much all the decor with us, like chair ribbons, rose petals, favor bags, table place cards, chinese paper lanterns. About the lanterns- we are planning to leave them at the resort, so if anyone is interested in using them for their wedding as a decor- make sure to ask Veronica about it. They are cream colored and will have small light bulbs inside, to add extra romantic lighting to the area. It looks amazing on photos and Veronica promised to have them hanged on the ceiling. Just an FYI. The only decor we're not bringing are table clothes, flowers, etc. I will definitely write a review and post some photos here after the wedding. I put so much time and effore into organizing this wedding that I'm sure it will be the most beautiful this resort has had yet Stay tuned!

Shannon, You will probably not be able to change anything in your package. Anything that you'd want to add- she will tell you it's extra. I advise you to choose the package that has as much of what you need as possible. We chose the Excellence Gold package, because it includes almost everything, like some ceremony and reception decor, bridal hair, bouquet, etc. And these things are really expensive. Even then, we are adding things to the package. Veronica is probably a nice person, but since she works for the resort, she will try to charge you for everything and anything, so make sure you read everything carefully, like emails from her and wedding package details.

They said that since it's Mexico- they cannot give a guarantee. To get a tracking number costs $100, plus about $200 to send the package. That's a lot of money and not worth it, at least to me it's not. I don't want to worry that my stuff won't get there... Don't forget that Mexico is not USA and if something gets lost, who are you going to blame? Juan or Carlos that works in a post office on the mexican border??

We are doing a welcome dinner, not a rehearsal dinner. It is for everyone, because we have 30 guests and we feel we should gather all of them together before the wedding so that they all meet each other and feel comfortable before the BIG day. Also because we want to thank them for coming and want to make all of them feel welcome.

Tried sending a pretty big package to the resort today. Around 20lbs- it was about $200 and they said there is no guarantee that the package will get to its destination... Decided not to send anything but just stuff it into all our suitcases. Oh well. Egle, yes I have finalized everything with Veronica, as far as ceremony, reception, food, decor, flowers, cake, etc. We have 30 guests at our wedding. Our reception will be in the foyer area.

I am bringing some light decoration stuff with me, like chair ribbons, rose petals, etc. But things like candles we are shipping to the resort right now. It shouldn't take more than a week to get there but I've heard of many brides shiipping decor to the resort ahead of time. I think it's risky to pack fragile things in check-in bags and too heavy to carry on with you...
