Just wondering what people are doing for dinner and cocktail reception (or what brides have already done). For those who have gotten the $11 meal, did you think it was good? For those of you who have gotten married, did anyone not have a cocktail reception? If you didnt, what did your guests do while they waited?

What do you charge for doing a destination wedding. If we paid for you to go on the trip, would we also have to pay for you to do our photos?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out what to do about a photographer. I don't know if I should use the ones provided or bring one with me. First off, are we even allowed to do that anymore? If we are, for those of you who have done it, how much did it cost you? For those who have used the ones provided, were you happy with them?

Hey lilmisssunshine, those pictures are absolutely gorgeous!! Did you bring your own photographer in or were they provided by the resort? If they were from the resort, how much did they cost, or were they included in your package? I would LOVE to have photos as beautiful as those ones Quote: Originally Posted by lilmisssunshine Hello Everyone- Although I have not received all of my photos, my amazing photographers Nels and Anna Akerlund sent over a slide show to our first song. It was the best decision we made and are so happy with our choice. You can also see some pics of our ceremony set up on the beach at the sensatori and our reception at the new plaza. We were the first to have our reception there:) Some of our TTD photos are included as well. i just want to warn you there is a semi nudi pic but all of our parts are covered. There is a nude resort down the beach and all the girls had a day of pictures and one we were pretending to be on the nude resort. Hope no one is offended. I think they are cute and funny. Enjoy. http://nelsakerlundweddings.com/cont...ord/index.html hope this link works, Im horrible with computers:)

Thanks so much Trayce. So, with the cocktail reception, do you just pay for the appetizers and are drinks included? That seems interesting that they didn't charge you any extra to have a 3 tiered cake than a 2 tiered, because on the spread sheet, a 3 tier is more. Do you know why they didn't charge you extra? Quote: Originally Posted by trayce2222;801660 Hey Meghan~ Yes, that's the new plaza. In the slideshow, there is a pic of the whole plaza not decorated. It's a lot bigger than you would think! I think it's the perfect place for a reception! The beach gets very windy.....honestly, it just feels more like a reception at the plaza rather than on the beach. I can't recall what we paid for the cake. It's in the amenities pkg price for 20-30 people....I just asked for a 3 tier rather than the 2 tier. It was still the same price. I asked for a square cake, but that's what I got! lol It was plenty big.....we had a total of 30 guests and there was a lot of cake left-over. The cocktail reception is based on how many appetizers you choose. We picked 8 different one's plus the donkey bar. The donkey was a huge hit with all the guests! We had our own private servers and our own private bar. It was set up where we were on the beach and the resort had our area blocked off from other guests. At that time of day, there isn't a bar on the beach, so our guests would have had to walk up to Zocolo to get a drink.... Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks, Tracy

Hey Trayce your photos look awesome! Can't wait to see the professional ones! Love your dress too by the way. I have a couple questions. 1. The place where you were dancing, is that the plaza? If it is, do you think it is better to have the reception at the place you were at or just on the beach? 2. How much did your cake cost? Did you show them a picture of what you wanted, and how many people did it feed? 3. How much is it to have a cocktail reception, and how is it different than just having your guests get drinks from the bars around?

It's weird that we have both booked with the wedding holiday, and i have received the package when my wedding is after yours! PM me with your email if you want me to forward it to you.

Since I got this sent to me so early, I'm assuming they will take your information whenever you are ready.

For those whom have already been to the sensatori - are there hairdryers in the rooms? thanks just starting to pack and keep as much room as possible for my shoes:) Hey Lilmisssunshine, I think I am going to go with one of the $50.00 tropical bouquets. I was thinking at first about going with the Cala lillies, but I'm trying to keep cost down as much as possible, and I think the tropical flowers look pretty anyway. Do you know what you are doing about a cake? I really don't like the cakes that come with the wedding packages and they are super small, but the ones that don't come with the package are super expensive. I don't really know what to about that. I'm probably going to have about 40-50 people at the wedding, and I was thinking about getting a 2 tiered-cake, but there are not a ton of options on the lomas website. For those who have already gotten married, and for those who are, have any of you decided on a custom cake? I know some people found pictures and sent them in and had those made or are planning on that. If you don't mind, could you let me know how much you paid for them as well? Thanks

Hey everyone...not sure if this message got posted already because I didn't see it. I'm trying to decide what to do for invitations. I have sent out save the date invitations, but I want to send out formal invitations as well, requiring an rsvp. We aren't getting married until July 2, 2010. If anyone can let me know when you are doing for invitations, and how early you are sending them out, that would be really helpful

I am super wiped out and buried in laundry. Hi Amy! Your wedding looked beautiful. Thanks for posting the pics! who was your photographer? Were they from sensatori?
