Kick one of your bridesmaids out of your wedding party?? Lol yes, I did! But it wasn't as bad as it sounds. I asked my good friend to be a bridesmaid, but not to let me know until she knew she could come. She said yes that she was going to come and book....she wasn't booking months after, and when I found a bridesmaid dress, she said she would come home to look at it (she lives a few hours away) and then she cancelled the day of! Anyway, then she emailed me and said she wasn't sure she was going to be able to come anymore because she wasn't sure what her plans were going to be when I was getting married, so I told her I was not going to have any bridesmaids anymore (just MOH) and if she could come, great, and if not I understand. Sorry for the long answer haha Would you ever...tell a family member they can't come to your wedding?
  2. I'm having my dress made for me because I am so small (5"2 and 94 pounds). I had such a hard time finding size 2's or 0's that could be altered appropriately to fit. Getting one made is a lot more expensive and I'm getting something quite elaborate...it is $4200 but my mom is buying it for me. I don't know if I would spend that much if I was paying for it myself.....Haven't really thought about that. I think though that if you really love a dress, you should get it. Its a once in a lifetime thing.
  3. Awww that really sucks. I can see why you would feel that way, but it isn't your fault. She had the chance to talk to the principal to find out when the prom would be and she didn't....she is old enough to do that. Plus, going to punta cana for a wedding is pretty awesome too! How is she feeling about having to miss her prom?
  4. yes, but I wouldn't like it at first lol Would you ever...go sky diving?
  5. Hey Carrie, thanks so much for the info. I'm glad that you mentioned its a good idea to fight to get your wedding at a different location than the conference room if it rains....i think i will die if it rains on my wedding day!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to give us some info
  6. Congratulations and welcome
  7. ahahahahaha omg that is one of the funniest things ever!
  8. man, i didn't realize how much wedding stuff there is to bring until i saw that list!! I had never heard of chalk covering up stains on wedding dresses! Interesting idea!
  9. wow those are beautiful! I love that they are not all the same

Cocktail reception area for 60...I can think of a few. The adults pool bar. They have finished it really nicely, probably seating for a good 40 now. Otherwise the mojito lounge is now open all day, it has tons of seating.... I wouldn't upgrade, I can see all of the honeymoon suites, and they are not full. There are 2 weddings tomorrow so I assume everyone is here and checked in. We booked a premium room and they upgraded us to one....but, there is no other room to get--this has the BEST view. Conference center...no offense, but this is an awful pick. The cielings are low, the funiture is very office like. Pick something else, for sure! I will try to get in and take a picture but I recall is was uber ugly. Thanks for taking the time to check all this out ash!
  11. Wow, I haven't been on here in only 3 days and I've missed so much! I've been getting my classroom ready to start teaching next Tuesday, so I've been super busy. Nikki, in the process of being so busy, I just realized today when I saw your post that I totally forgot and missed the bridal shower!!!!! I'm sooo mad! Oh well....what can you do. Affromert, Congrats on booking!! Andrea, those are gorgeous engagement photos! Allisa, if I don't talk to you before you go, have a blast in Mexico!! I noticed there was some talk about fabrics and how much they were. Tiffany told me that coloured fabric is $75 each (apparently some deal....) and if you bring your own fabric, they will charge you $100 to set it up.

Hey Ash, I would love some pictures of the beach! Thanks soo much!
  13. I think I like dress#1 more (I don't think it is inappropriate for a beach and I don't really see how it is really "different"...i think it is just beautiful) but both are very nice. I would just go with whatever you feel best in. i don't think beading is bad for the beach either.
  14. I sent my STD out through email as well. We had a nice invitation made up with info about the resort, attached to an email and sent it.
  15. That's so annoying! I would just try to ignore crap like that and if you and your FI want to do TTD session then do it!
