Congrats and Welcome to the forum! I am getting married at Dreams Los Cabos, too! Have fun planning!!

I will be getting married at Dreams in May! I am thinking about going with the Ultimate package, also. Question though, is the "set-up" fee included in the price of the package, or do you have to pay that on top? I know it covers dinner for up to 20 guests, but I have heard so much about set-up fees for ceremony, cocktail reception & reception. Also, has anyone gone with the Ultimate package, and gotten married on the beach? The package said it covers "Gazebo décor - chairs with white covers, ceremonial table, and carpeted walkway"-- will that apply to the beach, too? It also includes "Use of the wedding gazebo or beach front arbor" -- does anyone know what the arbor looks like? Is it that green arch in their web pictures? I am also using Yessica, and she has always replied to my e-mails within a couple days. She has been very kind and pleasant!!! I am soooo looking forward to this amazing resort!!

I agree with the other ladies! It looked beautiful the first time, but now's your chance to do something different, with a whole new set of beautiful pictures!

Our Engagement -- Saturday, April 19, 2008 We had a little family vacation down in Disneyland for one week in April. Our daughter, Kaitlyn & I flew Calgary to LAX. And Jason, of course, drove his sporty little SVO, and picked us up at the airport! This was great, as we could see more of Los Angeles, outside of the Anaheim trolley route! We had such a great time in Disneyland and California Adventure! On our last night at Disney, we were going to watch the fireworks. However, due to "high winds", they were threatening to be cancelled. (Yeah, more like a gentle breeze --- they clearly have never been to Lethbridge, Alberta!) Anyhow, gotta keep Tinkerbell safe! Jason kept cursing that they better have fireworks... first clue something was up! Well, they decided to go ahead! Jason kept disappearing to talk to some security guards. I was told to wait where I was... second clue something was up. A little while later, he said "Come with me, I scored us a better seat!" He led us to a bench right behind the statue of Walt and Mickey, right in front of the castle, a spot that had been roped off from spectators, and was all ours! We watched most of the fireworks (and they were breathtaking!!) Unfortunately, they cut the show short, due to those dang "high winds" again! But that is when Jason got down on one knee and proposed! I was so in shock, I could barely stammer out "yeah". And then all the crying and kissing started, and the security guard announced it to the crowd--- which started clapping & cheering. And then I found out our little girl knew about it all along! She completely kept it secret from me! I couldn't have asked for a greater fairytale!

I like to keep it simple... just us and our daughter as FG. Considered asking my FSIL to be my MOH, but then I snapped back to reality. She's the biggest Bridezilla, and she's not even getting married!

I don't have a clue what song we are going to use for our first dance, but the father/daughter dance will be "You are my sunshine" by Nat King Cole. It's more upbeat and kind of bluesy, but it's moving to us because my Dad used to sing that to me when I was little! Good luck with picking your song! Whatever you choose, your Dad will be happy dancing with his "little" girl!
